One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Buuuuuuuuuttttttt I can't choose just one! :lmao:
:rotfl:

Character meal or non character Disnorth? That might help others with suggestions. I had 28 TS meals on my trip last fall (free dining with paid upgrade to deluxe) .............UUGGGGH........TOO Much food but so many good meals!

So you see, it might take me a little time for my old mind to remember them all, I think of one then I think of another, its simply not FAIR to ask for one :lmao:
Seems this is a harder question than I thought. :confused3 but, we have to chose somehow :confused3

I am with Lisa, can't give you just one favorite

MK Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern

Epcot Biergarten or ?

DHS. Mama Melrose or 50 Prime time

DTD ? We try different all the time

Resorts O'Hara or Chef Mickey

We travel 3 generations ranging from 5-70 so have to try to please everyone.
Mmmm, it is hard to chose. And you have quite the range to please!

Picking one favorite is a tough one! My absolute favorite meal is dinner at '50s Prime Time Cafe in DHS. The meal I had there (fried chicken) was beyond delicious and if you like milkshakes they have the best ones in my opinion. I am also a huge fan of the atmosphere of being in a home kitchen, watching black and white TVs, with the family members picking on you and telling you to wash your hands or set the table.

That being said, the environment/teasing doesn't always appeal to everyone, so I'll give you an all-around excellent choice in lunch or dinner at Via Napoli in Epcot. Beautiful restaurant with the best pizza I have ever had! The desserts looked amazing but we were all too full to have any so hopefully next time!

It's hard to go wrong with Disney dining though so whatever you guys pick is going to be delicious! Keep us posted :cool2:
Thanks for giving the reason why! I have heard they have great milkshakes and '50 prime time. :thumbsup2

Billy's favorite was the Rose and Crown at EPCOT for dinner. We enjoyed the fish and chips and also timed dinner so we could watch IllumiNations from our table.

As a group of 7, when we took the family and my sister, we all enjoyed 50's Prime Time Cafe for the fun interaction with the wait staff. Just remember to mind your manners at the table.

I would choose Be Our Guest to see inside the castle even though I haven't been there yet.
Very smart to time dinner to IllumiNations! Do you have to get special seats to get a good view?
I would :lovestruc BOG, but it's hard to get Dinner reservations. Maybe for lunch :confused3

Alas I cannot add an opinion. I have never been to WDW but if you all need to know about DLR I am there!

Thoughts and prayers to all!

I hope that your tests ended up with good news for you. The clock is beautiful. All of your kids are so talented. The amp pictures look like you all had a blast!
I am so happy to see all of the positive steps that the baby is making.
I am finally starting to feel better physically. I took my last dose of steroids today and finished all of the antibiotics the other day.
I have had a couple of nice surprises this week. First, when I got home on Monday there was the sweetest postcard from 2 former students who are siblings, thanking me for being their first grade teacher 2 & 4 years ago. Then yesterday our counselor came into my room and said that 2 young ladies had requested to come into my room today to shadow me as they are considering teaching as a career choice. They were both also former students who are now seniors in high school. It was so nice to see them as young adults. I hadn't seen the one since she left our school after 2nd grade and the other left around 4th grade.

When you check in (arrive early), request a fireworks view front patio table. Make reservations for 7:30pm to 8pm so you will still be at the table when the show starts at 9pm.

If it's too late to get BOG dinner reservations, then you can get in for lunch since a reservation is not needed.

Judy, Praying your procedure went well, you got good news and you are resting.

Tracy, so many great places. Keep in mind table services meals typically take up park touring time.

Be Our Guest would top my list for lunch or dinner.

1900 Park Fare or O'Hana would be great for a day you aren't doing a park to get the Disney magic.
I love Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.
Breakfast at Crystal Place or Akershus.
Garden Grill for a fun dinner.
Because I think Judy's family would be a riot here, 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Since Lisa loves meat, I have to suggest the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

BOG or Yachtsman would definitely be my choices for Lisa.

While Judy is preoccupied I though I would sneek in some trip talk :)
I've don't have any experience with TS meals at WDW, Judy's family had more. We have a couple ideas for our trip but though I would ask for some different points of view! If you only were doing one TS meal (at any park or resort), which one would it be (Where and b,l,or d) and why?
Looking forward to the answers!

Magic Kingdom -- tough one; love Crystal Palace for breakfast--love the puffed French toast and Pooh and friends, but also love Be Our Guest for dinner--I've had three good meals and the atmosphere can't be beat

Epcot -- Rose and Crown -- excellent food

Studios -- Mama Melrose -- we like the food (although service can be slow at times); Sci Fi is our back-up for burgers and the theme (do not like 50's Prime Time or any of the other sit down restaurants

Animal Kingdom -- Yak & Yeti; granted we've not eaten there since 2007, we really enjoyed our meal there and will be back next month.

Well, I'll remember that if I need DLR advice :goodvibes
I keep saying I'm going to take all the nieces and nephews to Disneyland when they are all out of diapers but my sisters keep having kids :confused3

Thanks :) I did just check to see if I could sneak the rose and crown in the day before Judy's family is arrive (the way flights workout, I might fly down a day earlier) but nothing was available. Oh, well.
I'm keeping BOG in mind for lunch.:thumbsup2

I am a little worried about taking up park time, as much as I would love to have Breakfast at Crystal Place!

Oh, good ideas. I would love Crystal Palace and BOG. No dinner reservations are available for BOG during our trip, though :worried:

Judy, I am glad that Lisa's tests came back good. Our heart kiddos are pretty amazing!

The clock is beautiful! What talent!

Exciting you get to go back again so soon!

Prayers for all those that need them. I'm going to attempt to get caught back up again :)

I am so happy you were able to get some rest in. :goodvibes I have to agree, park days with friends can be exhausting, especially with another little to keep up with! Sounds liek a great day though. :goodvibes

That was Rachel laying a kiss on that fish. The story goes if you don't kiss a caught fish, he goes back and tells his friends and they will not bite the rest of the day. The other story if they are biting well, is the fish jumps on the hook to try and get a kiss from a pretty girl. It was a rejuvenating weekend, this week has been stressful with my medical stuff thrown in with the children's...one reason I never go to the MD.

It is nice when I can sneak in a nap here and there. Today I was able to get one after James and Sarah went down for theirs and Jeremy enjoyed having the TV all to himself!!

OOPS!! Ok so I'm going to blame it on being very, very tired when I looked at the pictures!! I still love it though! That's a cute story. Maybe that's what I can tell Jeremy the next time he goes fishing with Grandpa (my dad). Kiss the fish and they may start biting! :rotfl2: One of the last times they went the fish didn't bite and Jeremy blamed it on Daddy not having any beer with him, so he made sure Daddy had beer the next time they went. :lmao:

So I had my nutritionist appointment today and I now have an eating plan in place. It's going to be strict but I'm up for it (even if I don't want to do it) because I don't want to have to go on medication (needles :scared1:). I do have to test my sugar levels 4 times a day and will get a call once a week to report the numbers so they can decide what's going to happen next depending on what my numbers report. I will keep you updated as time moves forward. Next Dr.'s appointment is November 13. Can't wait to hear the little one's heartbeat again!! Such a magical sound!!

Tracy that's a great question - hard but great! I'd say a character buffet so that there are a ton of food choices and some fun at the same time. I'd go with a breakfast since that meal is usually much cheaper... and then narrowing which one down is the hard part. However, I would say Crystal Palace in MK. (Close 2nd is 'Ohana followed by 1900 Park Fare.) One of my favorites is Akershus but the boys may not enjoy the princesses.. or maybe they will. :rolleyes1

I'll place my vote for Crystal Palace for breakfast. We have always gotten reservations before the park opens. They let you in early and you can get pictures in an almost empty park. That alone was worth it to me, not to mention the great food and characters. We have only done BOG for lunch but weren't impressed with the food. The atmosphere was great though. The line looked long waiting, but I think it was only about 20 minutes. That didn't seem bad as we looked around and took pictures. We did go early though and this was in Jan. when crowds were low.

Good Morning Judy. I hope you are feeling better today and your daily appointments go well. :goodvibes

Judy, hope your tests went well and you get good results.

Tracy, I would go with a late breakfast seating for 1900PF. The lobster egg benedict calls me back. JJ loved the carved ham. There was a good assortment of food and the characters were so much fun. We got to see them multiple times because as the dining room was clearing out, new guests were not seated in their place and the characters took more time with us.

Who knew you need beer for the fish to bite :rotfl:
Good luck with the diet plan, hopefully you can avoid needles!

Oh, another vote for Crystal Palace :)
Sorry to hear that the food isn't good at BOG. I think they are selling on the atmosphere. :confused3

:lovestruc all the photos of JJ!!! I like this one, making faces with Alice the most. Looks like a great time. and lobster egg benedict sounds intriguing :scratchin

Our Make a Wish walk is TOMORROW! Thank you all who have already supported our team. :goodvibes

My colonoscopy prep was much easier than the last time (it helps that I didn't start off ill). She didn't see one polyp :woohoo::woohoo:, although I do have some surgery in my future according to what she saw. Also, the CT scan showed surgery as well, not sure if they can be combined in to one, there isn't any urgency at the moment and I believe it will stay that way, I claim it! I am still processing everything. I also received my mammogram results, all good in that department, for which I am thankful. For each of you who have prayed for me and left good wishes, I say Thank you and I will be back later with responses.

I have enjoyed the suggestions and banter over the restaurants. (JJ looks so happy/adorable). I still think Tracy should fly in to Charlotte, see Rachel perform Saturday night, then cram in to the van and drive 8 hours with us to Disney. That way she could get the FULL experience! :lmao::scared1::lmao::scared1::lmao::scared1: :lmao:

Judy, so glad to see your good report back from your scope and squish px!

Wishing you and your clan all the best tomorrow with the walk. Go Team! :goodvibes

I'm claiming it right along with ya! No need for surgery now and it's going to stay that way. Amen sista!

Good luck at tomorrow's walk! I look forward to seeing pictures.

Judy - great news on your tests, I hope the surgery will be delayed a very long time! The walk sounds like so much fun, I wish I could have joined you and your family but I am falling apart at the seams again and that kind of walk is not possible right now.

Lovethattink (sorry, I don't know your real name?) I had to laugh at the pics of JJ at 1900 Park Fare, such a typical silly boy! But that made me remember that I really love breakfast there................or dinner there :) But breakfast with Tigger and Pooh, plus Alice, Mary and the Mad Hatter is one of my favorites. But then again, I LOVED the evil stepsisters during dinner on my last trip too.

So Disnorth still hasn't gotten an answer out of me :) :) There is just too many places that I love! THUS why I am Pooh sized :rotfl2:
