One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Tracy, I caught up enough to pick up on your preemie nephew. Am adding him to my prayers.

Okay, enough procrastinating. I have been in recovery mode from a crazy October (example of how crazy--I let my brake tag expire and had to get a new one today. So our car which we bought in August a few years back, now has a November inspection sticker. Great track record, no?), which means my house is a disaster area. And I'm hosting a Pampered Chef party next weekend. So I better get to getting!

Just wanted to pop in!!! :)

Judy, saw you asked how Bill is. He's doing great. He says this is the best deployment he's been on. I'm so ready for it to be done with. Got a bit depressed after the Disney trip, Kaity's party, and my parents went back home. Also part of why my house is currently a wreck. I still haven't finished unpacking from Disney! LOL

Who knew you need beer for the fish to bite :rotfl:
Good luck with the diet plan, hopefully you can avoid needles!

I didn't know!! The funny thing is the next time they did go the fish did bite (Daddy had beer!!) :rotfl2:

Thanks!! I hope to avoid them too.

Jennie, THANK YOU for your donation to the Make a Wish walk! Praying you feel better soon, I TRULY know how you feel with Bill gone.:grouphug:

WOW, I am WAY behind...but I WILL get caught up!
Best of luck today Judy. I am praying for you. :goodvibes
Thank you! :goodvibes
It was fun seeing the VJ pictures. I hope today goes smoothly. I am praying for you.
It was fun to share the VJC pics! :goodvibes Thanks for your prayers.
I am terribly behind, but I will go back and read and catch up. While I am sitting here at my desktop for a few minutes, I want to post. I will read on my phone when I have a few minutes here and there today. I went back a couple of pages, and want you to know that I am praying that all goes well for you today. Precious Emile remains in my prayers, too. I didn't go back far enough to see the VJ pics, but it sounds amazing and I would LOVE for my family to do something like that!

It's been a rough couple of months around here. Catherine had a cath up at CHOP in September. Our cardiologist here really thought we were headed up for surgery, but Dr. R was able to crack open Catherine's PA stents a bit more and buy some more time before surgery happens. He thinks it will be a while, so that is worth smiling about. :) On to other problems though, she has been pretty hypertensive, and her MRA shows severe narrowing of her renal artery (remember she only has one kidney) and multiple oddities of other blood vessels. The nephrology dept at CHOP has a wonderful program for kids with high BP, so we are continuing care up there. She's on hefty doses of labetalol twice a day now, and we are headed back up to CHOP for an angiogram/angioplasty on 11/21. If all goes well, it's a pretty definitive fix...so that's what we're praying for! Then we'll go back at some point and do further work up of her vascular issues, look at carotids, SMA, etc. They've done a whole slew of new genetic tests as well, thinking she must have an abnormality in her vessels causing all of this. THings have been so stable for so long, it's hard to deal with this "new" problem. YOu know, it's been there forever, but it is only now causing her issues. It's a bit scary...aneurysms, blood pressure problems, etc.

Whoops--I think I just hijacked your thread a bit! I will try to keep up a little better, but wanted you to know what was going on here, and that I'm continuing to keep you and your family in my prayers...as well as all others in need of prayers on your thread. :goodvibes
Laura, Thank you for your prayers. I know you are very busy. Sometimes it just feels good to get lost on the DIS.

You KNOW I always want to know how Catherine is and I welcome the updates, no hijacks here. You are always good to say hi to me as well and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to see you here when you have time. I really get that feeling of not knowing what is happening inside her little body, these girls of ours have been through so much and the medical community is very good at sharing the what "coulds." The very positive in all of this is, God is holding her close and you are in the best medical care in the country at CHOP!! Of course, you already know both of those things. :grouphug:

Thank you for being a prayer warrior for us all. :grouphug:
Love your VJ pictures. It looks like the kids had a blast.

I remember reading about when the bowling alley opened there.

Hope your procedure/test goes well.
Hi Chiara! VJC is such a special place, we are blessed to be able to attend their family weekends and the girls made such fun memories at camp. Opening the bowling alley was a huge deal, it was David's first year to attend and he had a blast, although he was so sick one day he missed their bowling time and had to spend time at the "Body Shop" (their infirmary). He had a blast there too! Thanks for your good wishes. :goodvibes

Okay, crazy DIS ate my multiquotes!

Well, I am trying to catch up backwards. Praying for your procedure, Judy. Absolutely LOVED the VJC pics, looks like a WONDERFUL time!

David's clock is stunning! Gorgeous! Wow! So happy for you!

I am still trying to catch up on my house from all our travels and Kaity's birthday party, so I am going to leave this for now and try to catch up some more later.

Much love and prayers to all. I know other needs have to have been posted and God knows what they are, so I am adding my prayers to the requests for His touch. Where two or more....
Thank you for your prayers, Jennie. I hope y u know we all are lifting you up and sending prayers your way. It is so hard to have your loved one deployed, many of us here have experienced that and we are all praying for his safety and for you as you keep things going at home. It AIN'T easy!:hug:

I simply LOVE my clock! I find myself forgetting it is there and start to crane my neck to see the time, then get lost for five minutes as I stare at it's beauty. :3dglasses

VJC was a great time...I hope yo are planing something fun for when Bill gets home! :flower3:

While Judy is preoccupied I though I would sneek in some trip talk :)
I've don't have any experience with TS meals at WDW, Judy's family had more. We have a couple ideas for our trip but though I would ask for some different points of view! If you only were doing one TS meal (at any park or resort), which one would it be (Where and b,l,or d) and why?
Looking forward to the answers!
UM HUM...when the cat is away...

Seriously, great question, but to ask them to narrow it down to just one....:faint:

Are you home FINALLY!??? :grouphug::grouphug:
Its not a "hijack", its called an update :) I have found that everyone on this thread is welcome to give updates, vent a little, share happiness etc , thats what makes it such a great thread to subscribe too:thumbsup2
Yes, I love you all! So does Tracy!
THIS ? is going be very interesting :) :) I can't wait to read everyones' answers. Its hard enough for me to plan on a meal for 2 people, I can't imagine it for 7 although it seems like Judy's family enjoys any type of food (based on their Disney inspired movie nights), I will have to think about my answer before I give additional thoughts. Just off the top of my head I would say a buffet meal to give alot of options for everyone, now I just have to decide which one I have liked the best :rotfl2: Only thing I can say is that NO meal has a turkey leg on it so Princess Lisa will have to forgo that for a meal :thumbsup2
Do you know Lisa has NEVER had her own Turkey leg at Disney?? I need to rectify that! (although she DID finish off Rachel's once when she was little)!

And we are still waiting on your choice....YOu could just list everywhere you have ever had TS and tell us what you liked/didn't like about each place. :flower3:

Will keep you in prayer Judy about the results from some of your tests and pray that you will never have to have those surgeries. Have a fun time at the walk today!

hopefully the surgery is minor with a quick recovery.

I hope you have wonderful weather for your walk.

hopefully the surgery is minor with a quick recovery.

I hope you have wonderful weather for your walk.

Thank you Chiara for the donation to Make a Wish!!!

The surgeries ...could be complicated, but hopefully could be don together, I was so groggy Thursday, I didn't ask questions. It is more motivation for me to lose some weight, that would make it easier. :thumbsup2

It is 29 degrees outside ( :scared1::scared1::scared1:) we took a plunge in temperature overnight and I am cold...BUT, NO rain and it should be a glorious day. :woohoo:

Will keep you in prayer Judy about the results from some of your tests and pray that you will never have to have those surgeries. Have a fun time at the walk today!

Thank you Gail, my prayer is I never need them as well! Thanks for the good wishes, we are looking forward to the walk and HOPING nobody comes who is sick! :sad2: That happened last year and we stayed FAR away from them!

Have a fabulous day everybody, I will be back with MORE responses!

Y'all look ready to go!!!! Have a marvelous time!!!

Thanks for the prayers! :)

The shirts were even better in person! I had the pleasure of meeting Judy, Pete and their amazing kids today at the walk. I woke up early and felt like an adventure, so I got in my trusty Equinox and pointed it north. Only one little mistake in the directions and then I found myself parked at the walk site, what I didn't know was that it was literally a stones throw from Judy's vehicle!

I registered for the walk, not really sure if I was going to attempt it but I really went to Charlotte for the express purpose of meeting this wonderful family..............and it didn't take me long to recognize the guys from the photos I have seen here....................and where were they.............well, waiting in line for funnel cakes, which I might add were awesome! Pete pointed me in the direction of the "girls" (yes, Judy that's you too) although I would have easily found them just from Lisa's chariot aka w/c.

It was a beautiful day for a walk and they were gracious enough to ask me to walk with them and over a 1 1/2 mile walk I got to talk to all of them except Judy, now I really wish I could go to Florida with them when they go with Tracy, it would be an awesome vacation, they are so much fun!

The next time I see them I hope its when the girls are performing, I really want to see them in action, I know that they are so talented.

So thank you Judy, Pete and the gang for welcoming me to the walk and letting me spend time with you on the agonizing walk :rotfl2:

My colonoscopy prep was much easier than the last time (it helps that I didn't start off ill). She didn't see one polyp :woohoo::woohoo:, although I do have some surgery in my future according to what she saw. Also, the CT scan showed surgery as well, not sure if they can be combined in to one, there isn't any urgency at the moment and I believe it will stay that way, I claim it! I am still processing everything. I also received my mammogram results, all good in that department, for which I am thankful. For each of you who have prayed for me and left good wishes, I say Thank you and I will be back later with responses.

I have enjoyed the suggestions and banter over the restaurants. (JJ looks so happy/adorable). I still think Tracy should fly in to Charlotte, see Rachel perform Saturday night, then cram in to the van and drive 8 hours with us to Disney. That way she could get the FULL experience! :lmao::scared1::lmao::scared1::lmao::scared1: :lmao:

 Glad the mammogram results are good and surgery isn't imminent.

I think I would owe David more than a DVD player in the house if I steal his seat and make him cram in the back with the girls::crowded:

Lovethattink (sorry, I don't know your real name?) I had to laugh at the pics of JJ at 1900 Park Fare, such a typical silly boy! But that made me remember that I really love breakfast there................or dinner there :) But breakfast with Tigger and Pooh, plus Alice, Mary and the Mad Hatter is one of my favorites. But then again, I LOVED the evil stepsisters during dinner on my last trip too.

So Disnorth still hasn't gotten an answer out of me :) :) There is just too many places that I love! THUS why I am Pooh sized :rotfl2:
Well you are giving some ideas :thumbsup2
Tracy, I caught up enough to pick up on your preemie nephew. Am adding him to my prayers.

:rotfl2: That is what I've been doing wrong all these years! I need to start bring beer fishing

How neat that you got to meet them! They are fun :thumbsup2

Great picture. Sounds like a grueling but fun walk. Kelly put up a really nice picture on fb of the group.

Love the great shirts and hope it was a great great day
