Just realized they changed AK hours to 8pm the Friday of our week.
Our original plan was:
Tue:MVMCP
Wednesday: pool day/DS
Thursday: EP - EE - noonish, then hop to AK 1-6pm (5:45 tiffins)
Friday: HS hop to EP 2-9:30
Saturday: resort day/ Jollywood 6-12:30
Sunday : departure day

With AK switching hours for Friday, debating whether to swap my Th/Friday, but leaning toward keeping as is. I feel like 5 hours is enough at AK if our priorities are FOP, Navi, Safari and Lion King (using LL) I think it will be less crowded since W & F close later. Our family also leaves Sat AM and I like the idea of ending the trip with EP and Luminous, ending at AK feels anticlimactic.

Oh Disney why do you throw me a pickle two weeks before we leave?!?!

You’ve done a great job moderating and keeping up with all things Christmas and holidays at WDW, it’s been fun following along!

Just realized I never updated my trip, not that it’s particularly important lol but we’re at Copper Creek from the 8th-17th and then spending opening night at the new poly tower on the 17th- can’t believe it’s less than 3 weeks away Hope you have a great trip!

I will update tomorrow! Out and hard to update from my phone.

Our 8 year old is a big Mario/Nintendo fan. We will probably go there next fall.

We’re like fish out of water at US. I was standing next to a rock formation and asked a teenager to help me find Forbidden Mountain while I stared at a map confused. She shrugged her shoulders. I turned a corner and apparently I was standing right next to it. We rode 4 rides in 3 hours with our unlimited park to park express pass (free corporate trip) and had to leave. Jurassic was down for most of the morning and we didn’t have the courage to ride Velocicoaster. There were no stairs we could find to board the Hogwarts train so carried the stroller up.

Is everyone buying the multipass for the days they're at the parks over Christmas and New Years?

I would definitely buy if we were staying the entire day. We are only doing a few hours at MK on 12/25 (buying Tron/VQ Tiana/SDMT) and park hoping to AK after a resort break. On NYEE (12/30) we will get the LLMP and maybe LLPP (for 2-party of 5) but we haven’t decided yet (waiting for usage reports over Thanksgiving). Even if we qualify for DAS we will purchase LLMP on the 2 most crowded days (to avoid the 2-3 hr waits). Will purchase LLSP for each park regardless (might skip ROTR - kids are not a big fan and it’s time consuming).

Ugh. A reminder of why we never travel in the winter. Hopefully if it snows when we leave, flight just delayed and not cancelled!

Same here blizzard conditions since am. It was so windy the air was bone chilling despite winter coats. Was hard to drive. Snow is turning to mush so sneakers are getting wet. Heavy Rain/snow for the next few hours and then all this is going to freeze in the am.

We’re driving up north on Sat and coming back Thanksgiving day. If the weather is too bad will probably have to drive down Fri instead.

Is the second Fantasmic show usually at 9:30 this time of year? I’ve been anxiously watching the schedule for Friday 12/6 and the showtimes are still showing as 7:30/9 pm after Friday 11/29….it would be so nice to have a little bit more time between our Oga’s reservation and Fantasmic showtime. Does the schedule get updated on a rolling basis?

can you move Oga’s 5-6 pm? They have a 6:25 pm for a party of 4.

Any chance of that amazing gingerbread house popcorn bucket coming to WDW I love it and totally would’ve brought home all my cookies from it. So not impressed with the Mickey one

I just saw the new coco popcorn bucket that will be released on the Treasure. The drone show at the NY harbor was amazing to watch on YouTube.

Can you buy this at the GF? Popcorn is a must for our kids (food allergies). The cutest bucket we have so far is the chip & dale Easter one (Disney Fantasy).

I'm currently sitting here in a zen zone as I started to really freak out about delays/cancellations. Too far out to know the weather (we leave 12/2). I just want to get there. Going home I'm not as stressed because I don't have to work for another 4 days after I get home and our cat will be at the vet so they will take care of him if we are delayed.

But getting there... I have plans!!!

We are in Connecticut and early December is my cut off as far as winter trips go! I keep checking the Accuweather extended forecast for here and Orlando.
