We went on 9/28 & it was the best time EVER!! 1st there was NO RAIN-it did look like it was going to rain...thank goodness it didn't-we were in costume...Me-Wendy, DH-Hook, DD-Tinker Belle, DS-Peter Pan. It was a little crowded but I have never been to one of these b4 so it really wasn't that bad. I wish that we would have stayed till it closed but kids were tired! Best fireworks show I saw from Disney!! It was great. DD & I got our faces painted for FREE in Toontown!! I didn't realize that Mickey & Minnie would be in costume in Toontown or we would have got pictures w/them again. Got alot of candy & didn't hit all of the candy spots (had 4 trick or treating) Mix & Mingle w/the villians was great-try to get lots of pictures!! (They don't sign b/c so many people are waiting) the parade was great...headless horseman was SO COOL! Had dinner @ LTT & the kids loved the characters on costume. I would definitely do costumes...if not for you definitely for the kids!! I will so go to at least 2 next year!!

For those of you who have been to a 2007 MNSSHP, I have a few questions...

What characters are at the dancing parties in the park (Ariel's Grotto and the one in Tomorrowland)?

Have you seen Marie out at MNSSHP (or have any of you seen her lately in Epcot)?

Is the Beast out at MNSSHP?

I haven't completelly gone through this thread, so I apologize if these answers on some place on here! We are going on 10/31 and so looking forward to it
!

We did not find Marie at Epcot last week, although we did on an earlier trip. We had a photo taken with Sleeping Beauty in France on Monday Sept 24, and the CM said Marie was not going to be there that day. I looked for her later that week and did not see her then either.

We finally found Marie at MGM on Thursday Sept 27 around the hat. It was about 11 am, after the 10:30 HSM2 show.

You just about nailed it on the head for us too, right down to the tired Children. I was soooo tempted to immediately buy tickets for Sept 30th, but didn't want to push my luck. Sure enough, it looked like the 30th was an even more perfect day. I should have pushed our luck.... LOL

I am going to the party on 10/11 (yay!), and haven't read through this thread lately, but I was wondering about the park entrance time. I'm arriving that afternoon, and I was wondering when they were letting people into the park. I don't have a dinner reservation (and will be dressed like Minnie Mouse--if they let me in early will I feel weird? Will they let me in in a costume early?). Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

This year we're going later in Oct, the 23rd to be exact ;), so I'm hoping it is not so muggy with less chance of tropical systems or lows bringing up lots of rain into central Florida. I'm really looking forward to it, and I'd strongly recommend the event to anyone.

Oh! I'll be there on the 23rd as well. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to wear my Wicked Queen costume. I think it's going to depend on the weather that day. LoL

Since it rained every single day of our lengthy trip I was hesitant to get HP tickets. We had Spectro rained out one night and another night we were not able to sit at the train station because they had it booked for a Chamber of Commerce party and since the only thing I would have been able to do was sit and see the parades and watch you all in your costumes we decided it was not worth the risk and used the money saved to go see La Nouba our last night. Maybe another year??

I am sorry about those of you who did go and had less than stellar experiences.

Slightly Goofy

We are going on the 23rd too ::yes::, and crossing fingers, toes, everything we have two of, that the weather will cooperate.

On a recent PodCast show, one of them discussed taking his DN to a PNP party, which was rained out. He was offered a compensation ticket for another park day, I think (not another event).

Check the PodCast Archives, or ask on the PodCast board.

From the pictures I have seen of MNSSHP it looks like very few people dress up. I am starting to think I may feel like a dork in my costume. Who is dressing up??

We were there on the 28th and had a blast! My sister and I dressed up (we are 48 and 54) and got a lot of attention. People don't seem to care if you're dressed or not.

By the way if you saw two women dressed as a dalmation and Cruella de Ville that night, I was the dalmation.

As for the weather, it was suppose to rain and didn't. It was pretty humid that night, but it didn't seem to stop anyone.

We'll be there on the 30th and all three of us (DH, DD and I) will be dressed up!

Thanks for the info! My daughter really wants to find her this trip.

Hi everybody, my family and I are going October 16, it's a Tuesday night so I am hoping the crowds will not be too bad. Instead of costumes we decided to wear matching MNSSHP t-shirts that we designed ourselves.

I saw somewhere on this thread where people were talking about getting 50% off there photo pass, can someone tell me what photo pass is? I haven't heard about photo pass. :confused3

there will be photos all over the place taking pictures and you will either need to ask for a card or they will give you one. I suggest if you do the photopass get as many pictures as possible because you can put as many pictures on the CD. the CD costs like $99 before you leave on your last day and if you buy it online when you get home its like$125. the Halloween card yes you get like 40% off of the price of it. I hope this helps you.

Have a great time.

Just wanted to clarify that the 40% is off PRINTS only not the CD. The prepaid CD for $99 is 20% the after trip price of $125. Hope this helps.

I've heard that a lot of nights for the party have been washouts, does the weather improve by mid october?.

Only the first party was (Sept 14) 'washed out'. That's a risk in going in September. There's less rain in October but you could still get some rain. I've never heard of a major MNSSHP wash out before the Sept 14 party though where the parade and fireworks were canceled. It did happen a few years ago for MVMCP where guests were issued another ticket for another day.

So you may get rain but probably not a wash out. Fingers crossed for you! :goodvibes

Trish,

The Sept 30th Meet was fun, fun, fun! We had a good turnout - although there were a number of no-shows (to be expected). Great group, great weather, great Not So Scary party! :goodvibes Baby Piglet did a fantastic job of organizing the Meet! :thumbsup2
