Formula 1 will NO LONGER be televised in the United States.

By that definition, NFL's "Thursday Night Football" is no longer televised in the United States. :rolleyes2
Actually it is… due to NFL rules it has to be simulcast on regular local TV in the local areas. In that case, the ABC stations in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh picked up the simulcast rights to this weeks game.

I think it's being televised. Even streaming services providing video means it's televised. But I guess it's going exclusive to a streaming service in the US for the first time.

Streaming is NOT television.

Semantics obviously, but the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences considered programs on streaming services for the Emmy Awards. I would think a live broadcast that could be sent to a TV would then be considered televised programming.

That’s something if I were the guy who ran the Emmys. If a particular show didn’t get shown on live TV in its entirety, it wouldn’t be considered for an award.

Well half the US Mens National Team (Soccer) matches are only shown on streaming like Paramount + so to me that's much worse. If I have to pay to watch ANY National Team of the USA I think that's pretty messed up.

I subscribe to Paramount + so I can still watch it but I shouldn't have to.

I also subscribe to F1 TV so this wont be a big deal to many F1 fans who do like I do. Besides I like the changing views I can get on F1 TV rather than ESPN or ABC and all the commentary, etc.

If you only have F1TV the way it's been stated you would have to subscribe to Apple TV

"F1 TV Premium, F1’s own premier content offering, will continue to be available in the U.S. via an Apple TV subscription only and will be free for those who subscribe."
