Wearing a CGM at Disneyland

I will be going to Disneyland in early November with my family. I have diabetes and I wear a CGM. (Continuous Glucose Monitor). I have been to Disneyland many times in my life, but this would be the first time wearing a CGM. I was googling about having diabetes while at Disneyland, and I was reading that an insulin pump and a CGM could be affected by certain rides. Electromagnets could cause a pump or a CGM to fail or have inaccurate readings. Anyone have experience with this? I am not on a pump, but I'm wondering if I should just not wear a CGM until my vacation at Disneyland is over. I could just do finger tests while at Disneyland. I don't want to risk my CGM having inaccurate readings or break. CGMs are quite expensive I feel to risk that happening.

I wear an insulin pump and CGM and have never had any issues with rides at either DLR or WDW. That said, I do not go through the security scanners as that could screw up my pump. But if I were just using the CGM, I wouldn’t have an issue.

Some mfg suggest some cgm models shouldn't go through Evolv security devices, back scatter. Metal Detectors are ok. You can ask to be wanded.

Dexcom G7 CGM are ok to go through all security devices.

I have been going to the world with Type 1 diabetes CGM insulin pump for 10+ years and have had no problems on any rides at all.

Absolutely wear your CGM. Possible issue is heat. As the temperature approaches 100° the adhesive may not hold. First Aid will give you a large bandaid or medical tape..Easy solution if you catch it before your cgm falls off.

Personally, I find the hotter it is, the harder time I can remove the cgm. Then again, I always use a skin adhesive and an I erpatch as I have definitely “knocked” one off before.
