Try ebay- they have a whole section for costumes now, and I think there's even a subsection for plus-sized ones.

Or you can do something with your own clothes, and just add accessories- like for a pirate, you could just buy a hat, sash, eyepatch, etc.

I don't know if this has already been asked because I can't read all 100+ pages of this thread so please forgive me if it has... During the first parade, is the Alice and Mad Hatter's Treat Trail less busy? Would that be a good time to go over there? Also, is there a Jack Sparrow character spot during the party? I have read yes and no. Thanks!

We did not have a problem getting candy. We had two adults, a 2 year old and a 7 year old. We had four huge bags of candy when we left. It almost filled one of our small roller suitcases. I tried to weigh it on the scale at home and it weighed 10 pounds. I had made the kids bags that I purchased at Hobby Lobby so they were not little bags and then we also brought along a cinch back pack that was full. You will get plenty of candy. They were dumping it in our bags by the handfulls on the 28th! :wizard:

boy sounds like you guys got a lot of candy:)

hope I get a bunch too

I just returned from a very magical vacation! We did the MNSSHP on Oct 4th and it was great! No rain at all! I was getting a little worried especially with the forecast! The parade is definitely not to be missed! My DBF and I thought it was much better than Spectromagic! Also make sure to get there early for photo opps with all of the fun Halloween decorations! Once I get my photos up and ready I am going to post them on the MNSSHP photo thread! I want to go back to Disney...Anyone feel like packing me in their suitcase? lol

Just back from Disney and we went to 2 MNSSHP nights, the 30th sept and 5th of Oct. The 30th was perfect, low crowds, great interaction was cast members and characters and a fantastic firework display and parade... it was so good we decided to go again and it was a wash out, ponchos on all night.

I just returned from Disney and was thinking about getting the soundtrack for special events (including music from the MNSSHP), but ended up not getting it during my trip. I'm kicking myself now and am really wishing I got the CD. I can't find it online...is there anyway to order it from WDW?

I'm a plus size too. Last year I put together a relatively cheap costume from a dress I bought at holyclothing dot com. I went as a pirate wench.

The year before, I went as a vampire. A long black dress (actually dark purple) and a cheap purple glitter spiderweb cape and fake fangs/makeup from wal mart and I was good to go. My son dressed up as Dash from the Incredibles but we gave him fangs and latex bite marks on his neck so it looked like the vampires got Dash.

You could go as a hippie, gypsy, tourist, scarecrow (overalls, flannel shirt, gloves and a straw hat).

This year we're going on Oct 26th. We're all (adults and kids) going as Disney characters but our characters are going to be in costume as bikers. I had a blast putting the costumes together.

When I saw that Disney character costumes were expensive and too small for me, we thought about dressing the kids as disney characters and the adults as babies ( a union suit, baby bottle and teddy bear) that the Disney characters were taking to MK. The kids thought that was the best idea yet!!

I'm afraid according to the CM I spoke to from Executive Services...it doesn't exist. I, too, thought, "Man, wouldn't it be cool to have the soundtrack from MNSSHP"? Unfortunately, he said due to copyrights and things like that, there is no soundtrack. I suggested it was a great marketing tool that should be looked into further. He said I wasn't the first to suggest it...so who knows. Maybe if more of us do, it'll happen!

Actually, it does exist and there are several posts/threads about it HERE's one.

You may be able to order thru Disney, not sure yet. There are already some on Ebay.

The CD came out about a week after the first MNSSHP party.

Was just sharing the info I was given...glad to see they're available. I'll be ordering one!!! Of course when we went (on 9/14) they weren't yet available...

I'm not sure if it is proper protocol so please don't give out my name, but...

I went to ebay and looked up Magic Kingom Event Party and the CD came up...I clicked on one of the hyperlinks and called the company directly and asked if I could order versus going through ebay. The lady said I could, faxed me the form, I filled it out and faxed it back...that was about it. It's a little costly in my opinion (they do mark it up a bit), but I REALLY enjoyed the music so am willing to pay it.

Hope it works out for you.

I am proud to say I updated it as soon as the info was given on the boards [pat on back. LOL]....

Thanks for the recent reviews....

I am so excited!!

We went back to MK at 4 PM to go to the MNSSHP and our ADR at LTT. We were nervous because as soon as we got off the monorail it started pouring down rain. However, that was the last time it rained all night. We had a little bit of time before we could give our names in for our reservation and noticed that the Hall of Presidents was not closed – just a section is being re-done on the side of it; which is good because it is one of my favorite attractions. The characters tonight for LTT were Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale, but no Mickey Mouse. The food was excellent – except the pork (we don’t like pork – although I tried it). I absolutely love the Macaroni and Cheese (something that I look forward to eating) and my wife absolutely loves the mashed potatoes and gravy (we asked for more of these items as well as the turkey). All of the food was excellent and so was the dessert. We were able to get pictures by ourselves with the characters and together (thanks to nice people at the table near us).
We finished with a little time before the party actually began so we caught the last Dreams Come True show at Cinderella’s Castle. The show was good, but not a real necessity to see. After that show, we headed to the front to get our pin for tonight’s party. We finally got it and started toward Adventure Land and went around the park from that starting point. We made it to every candy giving station; except for the two in Tomorrow Land (ran out of time). We saw both parades because my wife and I did not have a good spot for the first parade. The parade is very good and worth seeing. We saw the Hallowishes presentation, but I would not recommend it from Liberty Square (just before going over the bridge). We thought it would be a good spot to watch – not too close, but then most of these fireworks were behind the castle instead over the castle – the trees there blocked a majority of the view – but we thought all well we will wait until tomorrow night and see the Hallowishes from our balcony at the POLY – Hawaii building. We went to see the last Villain Mix and Mingle – not at all what we expected. (I think we were expecting some type of show like they normally do at the castle, but this was just the villains dancing. We did get to interact a little with the Queen of Hearts from Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland. We did not make to any of the dance parties; which is probably good because neither of us dance well. Overall, the party was very good and I would highly recommend it. We got a lot of candy even though we did not have children with us. The CMs gave us more than just one or two pieces – they usually just dumped a handful of candy in our bags.

i bought it at the park for $24.95

Is there any place in the park (ie photo op) that I should get in line first when the party starts that is well worth it and could be really busy later? What time do I have to get there? :coffee:

I really appreciate all the advice I have read on this thread, thanks for the help!

Does anyone know how many tickets they sell for each MNSSHP?? I saw that Halloween night is sold out, Just wondering how many people will be there when it is Sold Out.
