Regarding trick or treat 👻

DH cannot eat gluten. If he takes a regular bag, he can eat M&M (except those with pretzel and the like), Skittles, regular Snickers and Starbursts. He could give me whatever he cannot have. If he takes a Teal bag, will he just have to choose among the free from 14 allergens choices like Enjoy Life and Lollipops?

If someone had a similar experience, which bag do you recommend he chooses?

My son has celiac disease. When he turns in his coins at the allergy counter, they tell him what is gluten free and he tells them what he likes. (He's 21)

If you think your husband can do some from both, you could get regular bags. Then go back and get the allergy bag. They will give you bags all night if needed, this is not a problem. Go through your first trick or treat line -- you get regular candy, he gets the coin. Then he can look at your candy and decide what he wants to do...stick with regular, stick with the gluten free coins, alternate at trick or treat stops, go through the line twice, once for regular, once for gluten free. There's no limit.

There are 2 places to turn the coins in for candy -- in Liberty Square (closes at midnight) and Town Square which I think closes at 12:30. We've only been to the one in Liberty Square. I don't actually know if the candy is the same at both places. You could stop into one of these places and get a quick look at what they have to help you make your decisions.

Anyone have luck in the past getting last minute tickets on a sold out date? I procrastinated and now 8/20 is sold out. We go home 8/26, so will miss the 8/27 date. I've learned that Disney sometimes releases more tickets sporadically. By stalking online and even asking at the ticket window the day of, I may be able to score some tickets. Can anyone confirm this personally? TIA

I've had previously sold out Christmas party dates show up again, so just keep a look out. The 20th is close though

This is just MY personal experience last year - I was able to get 1 ticket (I travel solo) twice last year by going to Guest Svcs at MK the day before or day of and asked (nicely) if there was maybe just 1 ticket floating around to purchase - it was not a problem and I even got my DVC/AP discount - and YES - both times the Sold Out sign was displayed…

With LL Single Pass not available for purchase with just a party ticket, does anyone think that the following attraction list is doable for a family not interested in characters? We do still want to see the entertainment. If so, what order would you recommend? My thinking is next in parentheses.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean (#1)
  • Big Thunder (#2)
  • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (#8)
  • Haunted Mansion (#9)
  • Seven Dwarves (#4)
  • Space Mountain (#6)
  • PeopleMover (#5)
  • Tron (#7)
  • Country Bears (#3)
Thanks!

Is this true? I remember always buying an ILL for the hours before the party began, starting at 4

Maybe I am mistaken then

Yes - doable. The order may need to be changed though.

I would consider moving Seven Dwarfs later in the evening as you may spend a lot of time in line if you do it earlier.

This changed in January 2024. Disney removed the option to purchase LL or ILL$ with only a party ticket.

Hmm I might need to cancel my dinner then when I get into the park. I figured I would grab a bite, ILL Tiana or Tron, then go enjoy the party

Thanks

We have tickets for 8/30. The Fray is playing in Epcot that night and I really want to see them.

I feel like I won’t miss anything too big before the 7pm start time if we stop in Epcot first for their 5:30pm show. Thoughts?

Anybody tried these types of costumes for the party? Would think it would be fine for the rules, but never tried one before so not sure how breathable it is for Florida on Halloween

My wife would probably do a similar one that is Tigger

The Fray is not playing the 29th. They are playing the 30th and 31st

...have you ever been to FL?
Hah....I actually live in Houston, TX so I experience essentially the same weather. So maybe I'm just a bit more used to it? Dunno.

Just trying to find something that's a "costume" but pretty simple and not a lot of pieces.

It's allowed but 5 hours in the heat in that would not be pleasant. By the end of the night even if you are use to that kind of heat you may not be able to stand the smell coming out of that thing. My experience with them is they are not breathable and meant to keep heat in for cold weather halloween in colder climates. I'm canadian and when we wore these we could skip the snowsuit

I think it really depends on the material, the one picture looks thin, almost like hooded PJs, hotter that I would want in Florida but not warm enough to wear outdoors here and honestly, my son lives in those year roundly. He was wearing a fuzzy dino onesie in 30c the other day 😂

Has anyone seen it posted yet what time the standby lines for Tiana and Tron will open? Will it be 6 when the park closes to day guests or 7 when the party actually starts? Trying to determine the best course of action for getting in line for those as my traveling companion has not been on either yet.
