Official 2014 MNSSHP Guest List (and discussion) Thread

Oh! You are my new best friend! Now, let's just get one of those mine train FPs, and we'll be alright! :thumbsup2
I would expect that wait times for SDMT will not be unbearable during the party itself either, as many attendees will be doing the party activities and not riding rides. We are hoping to sneak a ride ourselves :)

I'm not so sure. :-(. A lot is going to hinge on the placement of the Dwarves meet and greet, and how strictly they enforce the no ticket, no participation rule. This isn't something we've discussed on the Dis yet, but we should. Fantasyland may be an EPIC NIGHTMARE on a party night. I highly doubt that they will kick day guests out of a line they've been standing in for an hour out of the park. The party starts at 7pm, if the wait for the Mine Train is 2 hours at 6pm, and they still allow day guests into the queue, what happens?

That line, combined with the line for the Dwarves which WILL begin at 4pm even though they don't show up til 7, is going to be a serious problem.

9/23
2 adults
Not so much in actual costumes, but we plan to buy official party shirts and Halloween ears, since this is also a MK day for us.
ADR - LTT @ 2:50

This is our first party! Trying to work out a plan of attack to make sure we see everything we want to!

Updated finally got costumes sorted out DW Alice, DS(12) Tweedledee,DS(8) Tweedledum, DM White Rabbit, and me as The Mad Hatter costumes ready and aisle decorations finished, so excited about the new things happening this year. , :-)

UGH! I hadn't even thought of that!!! That's true, they're unlikely to kick non-party guests out of the SDMT line, and while it would certainly make for the nightmare you're describing, it is unlikely they will put the dwarfs anywhere else. Perhaps I will just avoid that area altogether....especially since no one in my family (except me...sigh....) cares about meeting the dwarfs. :(

Bought tickets yesterday for Sept 1. Hadn't planned on going this year, so I have no idea what we'll do for costumes. But I know we will have a blast!

I can't imagine they wouldn't let day guests continue to get in line up til 7pm. And I don't foresee anyone getting kicked out of line who was in by 7pm. Once the ride is over, day guests will be directed out of the park. They were pretty strict and efficient last year at getting non-wristbanded guests out.

But you're right, the queue at the beginning of the party will be long.

I bet the dwarfs will be at the same placement as last year. That's the only place that won't cause a severe bottleneck. All around the rest of the attraction the walkways are kind of narrow.

2 adults, 1 child (14 yr old) for Tues 9/16
2 original Mouseketeers and 1 Rapunzel

Here's hoping Fantasyland IS a crowded mess - more people there means less people everywhere else:thumbsup2

I'm very interested to see what happens with this situation. If a day guests gets in line at 6pm, doesn't ride until 8:10, then exits the ride, how will they get out? The 1st parade will be beginning, the Horseman will be making his run. If they get in line at 6:50 and exit at 8:50, they may get to see Hallowishes from inside the park.

Finally, we have costumes for the 10/31 party! I'm going to be Chef Mickey, DS 9 is Peter Pan, and DS 7 is Captain Jack. DH and MIL are party poopers who will be wearing pumpkin Mickey ears...

I can't help but wonder if they will use Standby tickets like they have been testing on other attractions? They had them timed out so that wait times were about 30 minutes once the person returned with the standby ticket. That would be one way to ensure people aren't stuck in line hours after party start.

Theoretically they can get in line at 6:59pm. The park doesn't officially close til 7.

2 adults (DS23 and myself) - 10/23 - no costumes - ADR California Grill at 5:25

This is our 2nd party, we went two years ago while there for my son's 21st birthday, now we are going back for his 23rd. Can't wait!!!! :yay:

Date attending 10/30
Attending -- my DH and I
Undecided on costume
No ADRs yet

DH and I are attending on 9/26
No suitcase space for costumes, so going as Seahawk fans (shirts).
Planning on eating early at CHH.
Shhhh! It's a surprise!!!!:)

Planning on 9/26 party. Daughter wants to be Aurora, husband will go as "dad" or some other non costumed person, son has no clue, and hopefully I will be in some kick butt Maleficent get up (which I'm sure no one else will be this year-- haha).

Now please calm my (hopefully irrational) fears that the 9/26 party (a Friday night) will not be packed to the gills. Getting a little nervous after the reports I've heard from the Villains Unleashed event. I know MNSSHP is a different beast and is well established, but I am concerned that I am completely underestimating how busy things will be on that night.

This is our first MNSSHP and we were planning to do an AK park morning before the party and I also think that might be a ridiculous idea. Basically, now that ADRs and FP+ are booked I have totally lost faith in my planning abilities. My ADRs are really messing with things, but I've had no luck in rearranging them. So we either do AK on same day as MNSSHP or I buy hoppers so we can do AK after our 11:55 CRT on 9/27. The Idea of $200+ for hoppers and another $200+ For party tickets kind of makes me sick though.

Sorry for rambling. My husband wants to have no part in planning and I feel like no option is great. We have only been to WDW once as a family (5 years ago). We have 4 days for parks and have not been to AK at all, but the CRT reservation and MNSSHP are pretty high on our list. I haven't even begun to make a party plan because I'm overwhelmed with my lack confidence in the whole schedule.

Anyway, this thread is great fun. I love to read about everyone's costumes!

So I just read that the dwarfs will be located at the "castle walls in New Fantasyland." Are those the walls at the entrance to NF? We have not been to WDW since SDMT opened, so cannot visualize how close is to the queue?

Last year the 7 Dwarfs met by the castle wall close to Pinocchio's Village Haus, sort of behind where the Carousel is.

The entrance to 7DMT is across from Winnie the Pooh, and the extended queue runs the other direction, towards the Mad Tea Party and Storybook Circus. So the two lines will probably not interfere with each other.

But you're right-- between Anna and Elsa, Maleficent and the Evil Queen, and the 7 Dwarfs meet as well as 7DMT, Fantasyland will be pretty busy during the parties.
