I would expect that wait times for SDMT will not be unbearable during the party itself either, as many attendees will be doing the party activities and not riding rides. We are hoping to sneak a ride ourselvesOh! You are my new best friend! Now, let's just get one of those mine train FPs, and we'll be alright!![]()

UGH! I hadn't even thought of that!!! That's true, they're unlikely to kick non-party guests out of the SDMT line, and while it would certainly make for the nightmare you're describing, it is unlikely they will put the dwarfs anywhere else. Perhaps I will just avoid that area altogether....especially since no one in my family (except me...sigh....) cares about meeting the dwarfs.I'm not so sure. :-(. A lot is going to hinge on the placement of the Dwarves meet and greet, and how strictly they enforce the no ticket, no participation rule. This isn't something we've discussed on the Dis yet, but we should. Fantasyland may be an EPIC NIGHTMARE on a party night. I highly doubt that they will kick day guests out of a line they've been standing in for an hour out of the park. The party starts at 7pm, if the wait for the Mine Train is 2 hours at 6pm, and they still allow day guests into the queue, what happens? That line, combined with the line for the Dwarves which WILL begin at 4pm even though they don't show up til 7, is going to be a serious problem.

I can't imagine they wouldn't let day guests continue to get in line up til 7pm. And I don't foresee anyone getting kicked out of line who was in by 7pm. Once the ride is over, day guests will be directed out of the park. They were pretty strict and efficient last year at getting non-wristbanded guests out. But you're right, the queue at the beginning of the party will be long. I bet the dwarfs will be at the same placement as last year. That's the only place that won't cause a severe bottleneck. All around the rest of the attraction the walkways are kind of narrow.
I'm very interested to see what happens with this situation. If a day guests gets in line at 6pm, doesn't ride until 8:10, then exits the ride, how will they get out? The 1st parade will be beginning, the Horseman will be making his run. If they get in line at 6:50 and exit at 8:50, they may get to see Hallowishes from inside the park.
So I just read that the dwarfs will be located at the "castle walls in New Fantasyland." Are those the walls at the entrance to NF? We have not been to WDW since SDMT opened, so cannot visualize how close is to the queue?I can't imagine they wouldn't let day guests continue to get in line up til 7pm.
