How is your breathing? As long as you aren't too out of breath, and you are willing to take it slow if necessary, I would still do the 5k. Hope you feel better!I came back from a work trip last week with a cough and a sore throat. Tonight was supposed to be my first 5k (ever). My sore throat seems gone, but still coughing a little. Not sure I should do it. booooo. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would go ahead and do it- since it's your first 5K, anything will be a PR! And then you can know how it feels to do a race when the stakes are very low. And have fun! If it's a night 5K, it's got to be cool, right?
That is so cool! LOVE that the majority of it is in the park and that we run through Carsland. I hope my photo ops don't slow me down!
I'm running a local 10K here in Kansas City tomorrow. It's a tough course with lots of hills. Hope it goes well!
DLR here we come, then it's on to Wine and Dine at WDW!
We did the 5k for HH. Weather was great. I was undertrained, the second hill killed me. Official PR, however.
Good for you! Wasn't it a gorgeous morning? It was only my first 10K and I wasn't running it on a sore ankle (which I have NOW!) so it was a PR for me!
Loved the course, though. Trinity Hill at the end sucked but the downhill into the finish was awesome!
Had some crazy developments in the travel department lately. American Airlines has gone to only one direct flight from MCO to LAX a day and it is at 5:55 pm landing at 8:05 pm. Our original flight was for Thursday but that is so late and would really put a damper on our fun. We have decided to switch to the Wednesday flight so that we don't have to stress about getting out and getting to the expo and still getting enough fun time in without completely being worn out. Called the airline last night and flight is changed (no charge!!) then called hotel and have additional night booked. I had ordered tickets through GET Travel but they can just adjust my order since they don't ship until August so it looks like everything will work out and we will have an extra day of fun.
Now if I can just get up the energy to run in this terrible humidity! Ugh!

That's exactly what happened to me with AA. I was furious since I had the morning flight booked. I couldn't leave on Wed. So I told them to cancel me. Even though it was non-refundable, after almost 2 hours on the phone last nite, they are refunding my cc. I booked with Delta, instead.
