All the 5k's at Disney are unofficial. I believe there are clocks on the course but no chips.
Thanks, I should have noticed that when I registered him. I just told him and he said it's okay bc he can perhaps enjoy the race more than his average 5k. I had already warned him to expect a crowd of people.
It's going to be such a fun weekend. I can't wait! My DDs are doing the 1 mi kids race, my DH is doing the 5k, and I'm set for the 1/2. Then we get to head out on a cruise the next day!

Our weather here has been great for running, high 50s low 60s. However, the other day I went for a run on a rain off/on day and ended up being poured on for about 3 minutes during the run. It actually felt good and my shoes didn't get too wet. Must have been moving so fast they dried immediately...

I got to the 11 mile week when my knee whacked out on me and I had to stop running completely for 2 weeks. I kept active on the elliptical but it's hardly the same. I've gotten back up to 7 and am planning on doing around 9 this week then tapering down again. I've done a half before (5 years ago
) but I'm not too concerned about the distance. Like you though, I wonder if I should be doing anything different. Suggestions experienced W.I.S.H.'rs??
With the race energy and excitement, it will carry you through. At least that's what I'm thinking! I'm doing Galloway too. Not doing 14 this weekend. Was planning on 13, but am now thinking more along 10 this weekend. I see no need in doing 13 this weekend, and then another 13 in two more weeks. I hope I'm not making a mistake, but that's the game plan. Listen to your body and listen to your gut and you'll do what's right for you.
