October People: When Are You Going to Start Packing????

I have a bag sitting in the corner w/the fanny packs, water bottle strap, Pal Mickey's, and someother don't forget stuff. I will be doing our packing on Thurs the 30th of Sept, my last day off before we leave on the 6th, this way kids will be at school & DH will be at work-no interference.

I keep a box of trip stuff always packed, laundry stuff, basic meds, sun screen, et.

But every thing else is the night befor! And food is the morning of as we live 6.5 hours away-barring stops for the Harley Davidson stores.... if DH is driving.

If I drive and they all sleep I can make it in under 6 hours- drinking and driving= restroom stops! Drat!

Haven't started packing yet, but we usually start about 2 weeks prior. I can't believe it's almost here.

I probably won't start actually packing until the week before. I do, however, have a pile of stuff started in my dd's closet. The best part is that she doesn't even know what it's for!

HURRY UP CLOCK!!!! The girls in this family have no patience!

My goodness, all of you are so on the ball! I leave in one day, and have not started to pack one thing! In fact, I have a ton of laundry to do before even beginning to pack tomorrow! See, now don't you all feel better! I guess I just perform best under pressure! hahaha

Not yet! I have some stuff in piles (non-clothes items). I will be making a list this weekend of whatever else I need to buy, then I will start packing.

I need to STOP eating so much so I can fit in my shorts! I don't know what happened over the last month, practicing eating all the good Disney food?? I don't know, but all of a sudden the shorts have gotten uncomfortable!! (sorry if it's TMI!)

We leave in 16 days so I got my suitcases out two days ago. I have already tossed the bathing suits in. As I think if things I toss them in and then go down a check list when I get closer. I have already finished packing DD's plane bag with new books and activities to keep her busy on the plane. I can't believe it is so close. I feel like I am way behind! LOL!

I have been wanting to pack for the past two weeks, but now that i'm actually two weeks out I have started to pull together travel toiletry items and making a master packing list with items I want to take. Hopefully, by early next week I will have the guest bedroom full of clothes for my trip. Is anyone else out there an overpacker? I have a hard time planning my outfits out ahead of time and love to have choices..plus I bring my own hairdryer and lots of shoes/sandals (prob bringing 8 pairs this trip what can I say I'm addicted to shoes) My last trip my bag just made it under the wieght amount before they start charging. I guess I like to be prepared for anything...my mother on the other hand packs extremley light.

Well we still have 27 more days until we leave, so I still have a lot of time left before I start packing our things up. But I have been thinking about what T-shirts and shorts I want to bring and try not to wear them( if I can help it), so they will be already to pack. I know I am going to pack at least one pair of pants and I will just buy a sweatshirt at WDW. And two weeks before we leave I will be making a trip to Target to pick up a few things, like flim, batteries, snacks to keep in our room and maybe a few other things.

I can't wait for this trip to get here( I have been waiting to go on this trip for like over 200 days)!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe trip! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo And maybe I will see some of you there! Don't forget to pack your lime green, so I can find all of you! ::yes::

i leave in 14 days and should start a list of what to pack but haven't yet.
But, i started my diet yesterday. really do need to take off at least five pounds before i go.........................

every trip i always say i will be prepared and ready. that means packed and all the ducks in a row a week before the trip......well, looks like its not gonna happen that way again.

next trip after this coming one, i will pack in advance....

hope you all have fun in florida, i know i will.

We leave on the 1st and i have only gotten so ar as getting our suitcases out of storage
i'll probably pack the few days before we leave at least that is what i say but i normally end up packing the night before

I picked up a new travel tube of toothpaste, does that qualify? :p

Seriously, I am debating on buying a new suitcase - I don't have one the size I would like. But, then again, money spent on a suitcase is less I have to spend on the Mouse......

I will pack in earnest the day before. My toiletries, meds, etc will be packed 2 days before.

I would love to start packing! But with a month away, I will try to contain myself!
Taking our now 2 month old son so I have picked up a few things for him for the trip...other than that, I am trying to get my body back in shape!:earseek:

Wow, this thread is really building the excitement for me!! I guess I should start packing!! I have a couple of new T-shirts bought and put away for DH ( he must have 75 stained ones !!) and I think I have procrastinated because of the 13 lbs I gained of 28 that I lost for my big springtime WDW trip!!Trying those clothes on might be the motivation I need to stop eating and start walking!!

OK ya'll have really got me ready to pack. I haven't done a thing yet. I guess I better get busy. We just decided to go to MNSSHP while we are there, so now I have to figure out costumes. I really don't want to make the kids wear things that will hinder them from getting in and out of rides. I was thinking of just doing face paint. What do ya'll think?

Ok so I have lots of things packed (mostly new T's the kids have 6 each and I have 2 ) the toiletries are always packed and ready along with laundry tabs . I have the kids suitcases out but they are still wearing their shorts.. in a few weeks i will have those in the suitcases.. by the way i am just over 40 days out and normally I am completely packed as we go in the winter so don't have to wait for the kids to get out of their summer clothing .. Oh well .. something to look forward too ..

Last year I believe they had face painting stations. So head there first and you'll be set for the night!

Let's see..........I keep travel bag packed with toiletries at all times. We sometime take spontanious trips so I just keep that stuff in a Vera Bradley tote. I have an idea of what clothes I'll take for me and the girls, DH packs his own stuff. Takes him all of 10 minutes to get everything together. I bought a Halloween long sleeved top and jacket (embossed/embroidered) on Monday, hope to wear it to the party if it's not too warm. Girls costumes are a hard decision, hoped to go to Atlanta or Birmingham to Disney Store (ours was a casualty of the downsizing), but the weather won't cooperate. Kids are out of school again this week due to the Hurricane, makes it hard to get in the mood. I'm just doing laundry and counting down the days.::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I've already started packing. We just got back from Vegas on the 8th and we leave for WDW on the 1st (3 1/2 weeks apart). We washed the clothes we took to LV, and put them back in the suit case for WDW. All we need to do is pick up our costumes for MNSSHP and we're set. Unfortunately our trip is only 4 days, so I can easily set aside some of my summer clothes for the trip. :( But a short time in WDW is better than no time. :D

We start getting things laid out in the spare bedroom about a week before going, and it's my job to pack the bags the morning of our flight. With everything laid out on the bed, we can see if there's anything we forgot before actually packing. Of course, all of the WDW clothing is the first things to lay out, including pins, lanyards, watches (our new DVC watches arrived), and DW's Mickey sneakers - she says they are the most comfortable sneaker she has found.:goodvibes
