Timon you are just tooooo funny! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I know we find Fanny packs, REALLY REALLY weird. It is a rude word, but even if it wasnt ( we call them bum bags, even though they are NOT on your bum! :confused3 ) The concept, though practical, is just a big NO NO in the Uk. We have never used them, not will we.

Have a great weekend everyone. Linda xx

Look at what my husband does for me when he has a free afternoon:

workerandparasite.jpg

Anyone who watches The Simpsons on a regular basis should recognize these two from the episode where Krusty the Klown loses his show. It's one of my favorites! Now I just need to figure out how to make it my avatar!! :teeth:

OK, it was too big for an avatar, so I put both screencaps of worker and parasite in my signature for everyone to enjoy!!

Sorry if this is annoying, but this silly little cartoon has been the bright spot of the day. Thanks for letting me share it here.

B. :goodvibes

One more picture, if you don't mind (this is addictive). This is our "family portrait" after returning from Universal in May with Plankton!! He is our new travel mascot and will be accompanying us to WDW this October and will undoubtedly sail on the Magic with us next fall (I can't wait to get him a pair of miniature mouse ears). :teeth:

BTW - please excuse the visible proof of just how messy our house was!

Brenda - nice photo of you & Jason. :goodvibes Thumbs up for Plankton! We love Spongebob. My 2 year old says "Bob Bob" and even makes the "oooh" sound at the beginning of the show with the pirate. So very cute!

We have a travel mascot too. His names is...Travels. (Very clever I think!) He is a little peach bear, about 5 inches high, so he packs very well. That bear has some miles racked up for sure! Never thought about getting him mini mouse ears. Wonder where'd we find some of those?

Getting closer to our October trip. Next week I'll be making our last payment for our hotel. I'll be making a cruise payment too. After August's payment, we'll only have 10 payments left! Woo-hoo!

I'll tell you our secret...we're going to buy a Mickey antenna-topper and cut off the bottom half, hopefully making the perfect pint-sized hat for Plankton. :rotfl2:

Congrats on getting closer to paying things off. I'm not making any payments on the cruise until January 2007...I get two bonuses this year (one was an incentive not to take a job elsewhere) so one of them is earmarked (hee hee hee) for the cruise.

I am loving all of these pictures! Thanks for sharing. We are HUGE Spongebob fans in my house. Last month we painted DS's bedroom the same color green as on Patrick's pants and we put all sorts of Spongebob character wallies on his walls. At first the paint color was overwhelming but we've grown fond of it. But it is bright! :sunny:

Linda - you have one heck of a trip planned. You'll need to take a vacation to recoup from it! Eloise is a cutie!

Lindy,

You may be at MNSSHP the same night as us. We are going on Thur the 26th. We will be at BB during the day (unless it isn't too warm or rainy, then we will head over to SeaWorld). We have ressies for Cinderella's Royal Table before the event.

If you haven't ever been to it, you will enjoy it. This will be our 3rd tme going. The crowds are controlled, so getting on the rides is no problem (except in Fantasyland where they're always long due to the number of kids there. FYI go there first before the crowds get back there.)

Jeff

Linda, what a wonderful trip you guys are going to have! And Jeff is right - MNSSHP is wonderful, this will be the third time we've gone as well and I finally managed to convnce Jason to dress up with me...Mickey & Minnie Mengwasser are going to storm the MK!! :lmao:

You've got me so excited about our trip that I thought I'd post our "itinerary" as well. As you'll soon see, this trip is about a whole lot of food...details to be explained at excruciating length and with great good humor in our upcoming trip report...Divorce Court at WDW (that's a jab at my parents - they are both semi-retired now and are getting on each other's last nerve).

OCTOBER 18:
Jay & Brenda arrive at Saratoga Springs, alone! We go to the Mandara Spa over at the WDW Dolphin for a Couples Massage Package and then we're having dinner at the House of Blues, hopefully followed by a visit to the Adventurer's Club. I'm dying to try a Kungaloosh!!

OCTOBER 19:
We have single day passes to EPCOT so we can scope out the F&W Festival before my parental unit arrives on Saturday. We have a Food and Wiine Pairing scheduled this afternoon at Coral Reef and are planning on taking advantage of one the free beer seminars. As for food - we're grubbin' around the world today.

OCTOBER 20:
We're lazing at the pool and shopping at Downtown Disney - it's our last day alone. Breakfast will be over at the Kona Cafe (Jason has to have his tonga toast) and dinner will be at Raglan Road.

More things you probably didn't want to know about our trip...

OCTOBER 21:
Cue music from Midnight on Bald Mountain...the parents arrive this afternoon. Thanks to their unwillingness to leave STL early Jason and I cannot particiapte in the Food & Wine pairing being offered at Bistro Paris (wah wah wah...I know :teeth: ). We will be checking into the Beach Club Villas, which is where Jason and I have always stayed since buying into DVC. We have a 2-bedroom villa reserved so my parents can spend time sulking out of our sight.

Jason and I think we're headed to MGM once we get situated and we going to try lunch at Sc-Fi. The evening is reserved for EPCOT and Rose and Crown, where my step-father has always wanted to eat.

OCTOBER 22:
This morning we're going to Sweet Sundays in EPCOT - Warren Brown from the Food Network show Sugar Rush is supposed to be leading the demonstration and preparation of three yummy desserts - I love his show! After this 2-hour delight is complete we will probably wander EPCOT a bit with the parents. Jay and I will be headed back to the pool for some suntime and then we will head to MK tonight beacuse its the only late EMH they'll offer while we're there.

OCTOBER 23:
Headed to the Animal Kingdom this morning...a light breakfast and a light lunch are in order because we are dining at Victoria and Albert's tonight!!! I imagine this would be a good day to take Jon over to Fantasia Mini Golf unless there is a thunderstorm in the area - I also envision more pool time and perhaps a brief foray into EPCOT for some yummy snacks.

OCTOBER 24:
Perhaps will start the day with some MGM, followed by an afternoon at EPCOT where we have a Food & Wine Pairing at Restaurant Marrakesh later in the afternoon (I'm nervous about this one...don't like spicy food - it's bad for the Crohns). Tonight we are going to MNSSHP - I see Casey's hotdogs in my dining future! For some reason junk food doesn't set off the Crohns very often. :confused3

OCTOBER 25:
Character breakfast at Cape May Cafe and the rest of the day is open to whatever adventure may come our way. I think we'll probably end up back over at the MK and EPCOT as the day unfolds. I will try to offload the parents tonight so Jay and I can have a romantic dinner at Bistro Paris. I see Philly Chessesteak sandwiches in my parents future if my mother gets her way.

OCTOBER 26:
Jason and Jon (step-dad) and I are getting up at an ungodly hour so that we can take the a backstage tour at the MK - Magic Behind the Steam Trains. My step-dad is a huge fan of trains and we thought this would be pretty cool, but you have to be at the MK by 7:15....AM. Methinks this will be a nappin' day! We have dinner reservations at the California Grill tonight.

OCTOBER 27:
Boo Hoo!! It's our last day - the only thing we have planned is afternoon tea at the Gardenview Lounge over at the Grand Floridian. This is the traditional way that Jay and I always end a WDW trip. And my mom doesn't know it, but I'm ordering a couple of Cinderella Slipper Desserts to be delivered along with our tea (we did this the last time we had tea there and it was wonderful!). The day is a freebie but if I know Jason and myself by now...we'll be at the MK in the morning and EPCOT later in the day and in the evening so we can see Illuminations one more time before going home. I'm going to try to send my parents to Downtown Disney if I have enough confidence in their joint ability to navigate the WDW transportation system without doing serious damage to each other.

OCTOBER 28:
Gotta catch a plane and go home, returning to the real world. :guilty:

So what do you guys think? Anyone have any experiences or thoughts they'd like to share on our restaurant choices? I'd appreciate any insight you may have.

B.

Gosh Brenda, if only we didnt have Elouise............................... princess:

Thats schedules does look fun!

thanks for all the advice on MNSSHP, Jeff we will do Fantasy land first, or on another day. For us MNSSHP is to see unusua characters, parades, fireworks etc.

On the theme attractions section, there is a big thing about Disney not clearing the park till 7pm. Normally it was at 6pm? People are emailing disney to complain. I ve sent mine! :thumbsup2 Ok non payers cant ride the rides, but they can do all the other stuff. The tickets arent cheap, so why should they stay for free! :furious:

Off to bid for your pin Brenda! wish me luck ! pixiedust:

We were supposed to be on the Magic on October 21st but had to cancel it due to me having a super large belly and DCL officials not allowing me on their beautiful ship while being so huge! :sad2:

Now reading about everyone's October trip just makes me wanna CRY!!!!!!

They need a jealous smilie face here!

I don't suppose anyone is willing to post a live trip report??? :rolleyes1

I will be thinking of all of you in October, when I can no longer bend over to tie my shoes

Your itineraries sound just mahhhhhvellous!!! I can't wait to hear all about them when you get back and post your trip reports!! ahem....people...you are posting trip reports yes??? :cool1:

Brenda, are you not going to be in WDW for your b-day??? Looks like your first day is the 18th!! Can't get away a day earlier??

Linda,
Make sure you try the chocolate croissants on the Wonder, they have them in the pastry section every morning for the buffet breakfast! They are square-ish and don't look like a typical croissant, so easy to miss. And hey, if you happen to be at Beach Blanket Buffet on the 17th, have one for Rob and I, that's our 8th wedding anniversary! :groom: And hey, why not get a mocchachino to go along with that since it's also Brenda's b-day :teeth:

Sorry to make you so sad Timon............ you really shouldnt be that sad, as you know you have the cruise to look forward too................. and a beautiful baby daughter!

I know what you mean about a big tummy!.............. I still have it, 4 yrs on! :rotfl2:

Brneda sorry the pin went for ore than you wanted to pay. So it wasnt to be. Jules ( who I will cruise with THIS oct) is from Wales and she is going to get you the Wales pins. Im TRYING hard, to get her and Ian to join our cruise. They want to do a 7 nighter. Perhaps they are waiting to see how crazy I am, before agreeing to spend another 7 nights on our table :teeth: on here she is called Saragatgirl, so if you bump into her, say "hi". Brenda she was reading your trip reports, and thought they were ace :thumbsup2

Anyone want to read my upcoming "Trip Report"???

Oct 18th...Up at 6:00. Leave beautiful Menomonee Falls for a 20 minute trip to Waukesha. Work my butt off all day, get stuck answering phone calls from people who make their problems my problems, eat a bag lunch consisting of a bun with veggie slices (it should resemble cheese), tomatoes, cucumbers, an apple, and a cup of soy yogurt. Back to work again for my unappreciative **** of a boss, then out of there at 4:30. A 15 minute trip back home (notice how it takes me 20 minutes to get there, but only 15 to get home?) Home by 4:45. Skip reading messges on DISboard because almost ALL of my friends are at WDW somewhere and they won't be posting anyway. :surfweb: Make dinner for a family who eats at different times. :stir: Eat too much for dinner and skip any form of exercise :yay: because I hate it. :furious: In bed by 10:30. :cat:

Oct 19th...Ditto
Oct 20th...Ditto (and try to beat Cass from posting our one year marker on this thread)
Oct 21st...Saturday..clean the house, run errands, play with dog
Oct 22nd...Sunday...who cares??

Blah,

(Bitter?...Table for one?...)

Then...sometime in early November this thread will resume :bounce:

This trip report was brought to you by one very envious (no "smilie" for that) DISer.

Quick, someone call the "Waaaambulance"!! :rotfl2:

Gosh, I think I need a hug!! :grouphug:

Oh yeah...almost forgot! Sometime during October I will be enjoying the prep and procedure of my first colonoscopy!! :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

(Bitter?...Table for one?...)

Nancy....I hear ya :rolleyes1

I love your trip report :lmao: :rotfl2:

Let's see...by then I will be at my OB's every week, shoveling snow (well at least watching Rob shovel snow  ) and trying to get the baby's room all organized. Oh and probably REALLY freaking out by then about having a baby and being a horrible mother :sad2:

On the plus side, for our anniversary, Cirque du Soleil will be town and hubby got us tickets to Delirium, so should be interesting!

But Nancy, as you reminded me, it WILL be our ONE YEAR countdown to the cruise and THAT will be exciting!!

I just booked my mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law and her two kids into two staterooms on our cruise so I have been getting them all excited about it too, it will be their first cruise and WDW trip too!!

I am gonna have to plan many "Disney Nights" with them :teeth:
