BIG hugs to you all :grouphug:

I will TRY and think of you all :teeth:

Hope you all had a great weekend, our lounge is FULL of dust .... yuck !

Brenda,

The only problem I see is that you are choosing to do MNSSHP on the 24th.

You know I will be there on the 26th and if Linda likes it (which she will ::yes:: ), she'll be there too.

I think you are trying to avoid us! :snooty: :rotfl:

Seriously, you look like you have a great itin.

For the record, our itin is as follows:

10/25 - arrive at POFQ, maybe swim or go to DTD (AirTran got us on the non-stop so now we are in 3 hours earlier :thumbsup2 but still in the evening)
10/26 - Blizzard Beach (unless icky, then SeaWorld), Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, and then MNSSHP for DS to T-o-T as a Pirate pirate:
10/27 - drive :car: to Disney's Vero Beach (sit around pool or on beach thinking how much fun Nancy is having back in Wisconsin  :rotfl2: )
10/28 - Disney Vero Beach (thinking about all the laundry Nancy is doing back in Wisconsin  :rotfl2: but then realizing how much I'll have to do when we get back :scared1: )
10/29 - leave earlier than we wanted because AirTran moved our flight up 5 hours :furious: and then fly home (but we will be home in time for Trick or Treat for DS, and to clean up the t.p. job that Nancy probably did while we were gone :lmao: )

By the way, did you all know that Nancy is not going to WDW in October?

Hmmmm...let's see now.

Menomonee Falls to Hartland, round trip about $10.00 for gas,
Twenty heavy duty rolls of toilet paper...$5.00
One black ski mask $3.00
The look on Jeff's face when he returns from FLORIDA...priceless!! :woohoo:

Nancy,
as the veteran of more than five of these procedures I don't think it's wise to use the word "crack" in the same sentence as the word "colonoscopy." :lmao: :lmao:

BTW - did I hear that you're not going to WDW in October? That's too bad...can I send you a postcard? :teeth:

Loved your itinerary - it was a hoot!!

I saw it earlier today and it is really cool! :cool1:

I told DW about it and she said I need to bring it up for her (remember I told you she won't go on the DIS but if she wants something, I have to bring it up). :confused3

Before I drop off the radar for the next few days...

Linda - thanks for bidding on the pin. No big deal that we didn't get - there are plenty of others headed our way within the next year and that will make Jason a happy hubby. :)

Jeff - I'm not trying to avoid you guys at all...I bought my tickets back in May before I even had the pleasure of meeting you fine folks! And besides the 24th was the last time we could get discounted tickets through DVC (I think) and I'm hoping that it might be a little less crowded on Tuesday night. Not happy with all this chatter about day guests being allowed to stay, though. Hopefully we'll find that it's just chatter, otherwise I will never buy another hard ticket to an event like this again.

Nancy and Cass - We'll send postcards if you want...or would that be cruel? I know that I would not be able to provide a live trip report (I need to give things a little bit of time to stew in my brain before committing events to cyber-paper) but I will definitley be writing a trip report and a food review report. Hopefully those will be good for a few laughs...actually, with my parents tagging along I know there will be lots of opportunity for post-trip mockery! :teeth:

Take care this week - I'll check in on Friday and I hope to have some good news to share about the hubby who has also been having some health issues. I swear, sometimes I wonder if we're on hyper-age at our house... :confused3

Brenda,

I was kidding about avoiding us. We bought our tickets well in advance to, to take advantage of the discounts of ordering ahead of time. We had to go Thursday because we weren't coming down until Wednesday and I wasn't about to go on the weekend before Halloween. You probably will see a lighter crowd on Tuesday night than we will on Thursday and much lighter than the weekend.

Not sure what is going on with regards to guests without the passes staying in the parks. :confused3 We've been 2 times before and they make you get a wristband at the front gate for the evening. If you don't have a wristband, they are to remove you from the park. If people are staying in and enjoying what we've paid $30 some dollars for, I too will be p'd. :furious: Usually they close down the park except for Future World and those with the wristbands can go there until MNSSHP starts at 7:00. The park closed at 6:00 the last 2 times we went, but I see they now list it as 7:00. I see problems with this one. At least with the hour in between, they could get a good handle on who should be there. This will just be caos.

Is there a thread somewhere that this is being discussed? We'll have to see what is being posted after MNSSHP starts in late September.

Jeff

Brenda, hope Jason has some good news. pixiedust: to him.

Jeff, Hi. :wave2: the thread is Attention all MNSSHPers, on the theme park and attractions thread. Have a read................... wanring its LONG!

Linda,

Thanks. I was just skimming through it. Closing at 7:00 makes no sense. I just hope they are as strict as the one poster said (the one who talked to the Disney Exec). If they have people checking you 2 or 3 times on a ride, hopefully they will get them out. But if someone just wanted to see the parade and fireworks, I don't see how the CM's will catch them. If they get food around 6:45 and take a while to eat, then pick a spot on the curb to watch the fireworks and parade, they have seen everything they wanted and no one checked for a wristband.

If it seems overly crowded this year compared to the last 2 times we went, we will probably not go again.

Jeff

Brenda....I would love a postcard!! :thumbsup2 By the time I actually get it via Pony Express, you'll be home already.

Good luck to Jason. Here's a hug for him from me and 4 other really cute chicks!! :grouphug:

Jeff...I tried viewing your pictures you have posted but keep getting an error message. I really wanted to see your pictures, so that when I am t.p.ing your
house and you come home in the middle of it, I'll recognize you and I'll know to run. :goodvibes

Nancy,

Those aren't pictures (wait, yes they are - of me in a spedo :rotfl: ). They are supposed to be count down clocks for my upcoming trips. You know, THE ONE IN OCTOBER TO WDW (when you'll be going postal on your boss) and the one for my Western Cruise in January (when you're back here freezing). :lmao:

For some reason they are not working anymore. They had up until about a week ago. Then I just started getting the "x" in a white box error, now there is a link but it errors out.

Not sure why.

And don't worry about me showing up during your t.p. job. If I see you :magnify: I will quickly run to your house and t.p. you. :rotfl2:

Jeff

Good evening everyone!

Linda, any updates yet from Disney about your emails on the MNSSHP times? We go on Oct 16th, and have been following the other thread. DH & I agree, if they really mess things up, we won't be buying tickets to the Pirate & Princess Party in January. Doubt we will go to MNSSHP next year either! We LOVED it last year, but they closed the park at 600pm, not 700pm. Keep us informed! Enquiring minds want to know! :goodvibes

Nancy, loved your itinerary! You just need to plan a trip. I hear October is a great month! :listen: :teeth:

Hi poohbush

No reply to me yet!
Why ask for your number and then not call or reply to my e mail?? It kind of makes it worse :furious:

On the thread it seems most repies are the park in closing at 7pm to day guest, although disney will announce its closing from 6pm. Hoping day guests will start making their way out of the park ( year right !) Well I can see that upsetting everyone, day guests will say the parks states its open till 7pm .So they have the right to be there till then.Party goers will be wanting a clear park for their $s, but wont get it ! Till way way after 7pm.

A big big mess. Fingers crossed by the time we go we will have some reports on what happened, at the first few parties. I feel for those people. I WILL be seaking a refund on my Credit Card IF there are lots of non wristbanded people in our way during the parade etc. Plus I wont give a hoot about being vocal to CMs either.

Just found out that DH will be the recipient of another all expense paid 3 night trip to Wisconsin Dells again. We will be staying at one of those hoidy toidy resorts that we can't afford on our own. (Jeff...we get to pick between the Kalahari & The Wilderness or chose Sheboygan's Blue Harbor Resort). I'm thinking the Wilderness again. His company will pay for the room, food, and gas money.

Hmmm...I'm thinking sometime in October. Maybe even the week of Oct 15th or the 22nd. I'll get another vacation this year if it kills me!! :rotfl:

I really do hope everything works out for all of you going to MNSSHP. I think I'd be a little bugged too if I paid $30.00/ea and other's got to hang around for free. We might go next year after the cruise.

Last year when DH and I had this little weekend, we saw tons of people running up to the front desk to get the free Waterpark bracelets for the day and they weren't even guests of the resort. The girls at the front desk were just handing them out left and right. I would think they would ask you for your room number or to see your room keycard. I guess it takes all kinds of people to make up this crazy world we live in. :confused3

Take care everyone and good night.

Nancy,

I'd go for the Kalahari. It is supposed to be the biggest and best. I can't remember, but there is one up in the Dells that will NOT allow outsiders in their waterpark. Not sure if it is Great Wolf or Kalahari.

We were just up in the Dells on Wednesday. I took the day off because my audit is finally done (4 straight weeks of working until almost midnight - sometimes after - and on the weekends). So I took DS out of day camp and we went up. We usually go next week Monday, because he starts school on Tuesday (last day fun with dad before school), but Riverview Park and Waterworld had a $5 per person for WI resident special going. Well let me tell you, it was only worth $5. Glad I didn't go next week and paid $35. We usually go to Familyland (which I believe is now part of Mt. Olympus), but I didn't see any specials this year. We will be back there or one of the big 3 (Kalahari, Great Wolf or Wilderness) next year. DS has a 5 day weekend in March, so he and I may go do the Kalahari that Sunday night (should be able to get a good rate at that time). Let me know how it is if you go. Also, how is Wilderness?

I don't know much about Blue Harbor. Is it bigger than Country Springs in Pewaukee? I will take DS there on days he has off during the school year. It's small, but he has a great time for 4 or 5 hours. He loves  waterparks.

If the weather is decent, we are doing Blizzard in October. He really likes the tobogan racers there. We haven't been in 2 years. I hope it works out.

Now what you need to do is get your DH's company to just give you the cash for trips instead and use it for a WDW trip. :thumbsup2

Jeff
