Cool! Pam just called...she picked up some vodka to go home and make Cosmo's for her and her mom but she couldn't find martini glasses sooooo...
She called Blair (up from FL) and we're going to go have Martini's at Olive!!! YEA! Although I wish I didn't have to drive :moped: home. So off with the sweats and on with the duds!!! :cool1:

Forgot to tell you all...I got my permanent crown just in time for Christmas! I told my dentist all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth and he came through!

Also...Berlin Mall...yeah right a mall. It is a "farmer's market" and you feel like you have to take a bath or shower after you have been through there. Although you can find anything there...cheezy anything! When Ryan did his 70's disco act we found polyester bell bottoms and shirt there. That should give you an idea of what it is like. Jeanne can get a bargain on perfume there though.

Sooooo Bonnie, how were the martini's? How many did you have? Good dentist. Congrats on the crown! Wow, we are a growing family, aren't we? I am still planning on April 2006. Cross your fingers!

Julie, heard about your weather on the weather channel. My, my! Stay warm and dry! Sounds like the majority of the US is frigid. And................

Almost 2 feet of snow later and here I am! Luckily Jerry came home from work early yesterday morning and worked from home today. Elyria, which I can see from my house got 21" of snow. The airport got 15.5". We got some freezing rain and sleet in the night. There was actual rain that hit most of the area, early in the morning, but it didn't make it our way, so we ended up with more snow. We didn't get the newspaper or the mail today. We ended up with record snowfall for the month of December. THose are records I don't like to break!

Happy Birthday 1 day early Garry!

I don't know if I will get on tomorrow. Jerry is working from home, but he does have to go dig out his parents in the morning. Church is at 6PM.

Sue: Thank you so much! I can't wait to receive the pillow! Glad you guys had a nice time.

Any one want a 2 year old? Free to a good home. She has been driving us crazy this week. She acts like something is bothering her, but Tylenol didn't help. I don't know.

Bonnie: Take your mom to Jeanne's house kicking and screaming if you have to. It sounds like it will be fun!

Sandy & Heidi: You guys are nuts when it comes to snow! I hate not being able to get out! Right now, we can't even go outside. I can't find a pair of decent boots for Kaleigh and it is going to get too cold anyway.

Heidi: Hopefully you won't lose your job!

If I don't make it back on, I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Key Lime Martini's...2 of them! Boy were they good! Of course we were with the "beautiful" people there. Blair ran into some woman that he knows...or is somehow related to. When she left the table I said to him., "that isn't her original nose is it?" He proceded to tell me "Honey, nothing is real or original on her!" Too funny.

Well, it looks like I will be going to AC with my mom, Pam and her mom on Christmas. Will probably go to the Borgata and have their buffet dinner.
Jeanne, thanks for the invite however my mom is weird when it comes to mingling with strangers. Maybe I will stop by for dessert however!! Creme Brulee cheesecake sounds yummy!

What a day! As the day progressed I got sicker and sicker! Came home and went out to dinner (still no groceries in the house). I had a cup of coffee to try to warm up. It was in hte 60s here but my body didn't know it. Came home and checked and I had a temp of 102!! I have been in bed since 7:00 trying to shake the fever and chills. It's down to 100 now and I am burning up. So much for being cold earlier! I am putting off so much heat, Abby won't leave me alone. She wants to curl up next to me. At least I feel better than I did several hours ago. I just can't sleep anymore. Wide awake, so where do I turn??? Here with my extended family.

I am supposed to work half day today. We'll see how I feel come morning. We're supposed to go to my aunt's for dinner and then midnight mass. Then to my brother's for dinner on Saturday. Doubt they all will want this bug! At least I didn't get this mess while we were in Florida.

I feel for you guys getting all of this snow. I am so glad it is not us. Stay inside. Sounds like the temps are going to be extremely cold for most of the country. Our temps have already dropped into the 30s since dinner.

Happy Birthday Garry!!!:bday:

Good morning everyone.

Sorry to hear about you being so miserable Susan. No one should be that sick during the holidays. Hopefully you will have a miraculous recovery.

Bonnie, my dad was the same way about "strangers". ;He wouldn't have gone to Jeanne's house either. Just so you know.....everything on me is real. Unfortunately!

Denine, take lots and lots of pictures of the snow. We do. It makes for good memories. I just ran across the pictures of the last one Heidi was talking about earlier. I love the conversations that start with......remember when...... It always it so cool talking to all of the neighbors while you are out shoveling. Everyone helping the other guy. Watching people trying to get out of the neighborhood. Just everything I like. I like being stuck inside with my family. Calling my mom a lot just to check on her. The beauty of the snow itself. Just so much I love about the big storms.

Thinking of you on your birthday Garry! Yesterday was my sisters, today is Ted's late sisters and tomorrow is my sister in law. Lots of you Christmas babies!

Have to run and dry my hair then off to weigh in. If I don't talk to you guys.......Merry Christmas. Love you all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRY! :cake: :bday:

My son Derek announced that he is getting engaged tonight. He is taking her out to dinner & will ask after dinner. I made sure he got reservations since alot of restaurants are closing early. :bride: :groom:

I still need to clean the house AGAIN. It stays clean for about two minutes with the dogs!

DENINE & JULIE: I am really jealous. I'm the one who ASKED for snow!

New emergency call just came in... My Aunt dropped the Min-Pin "Buddy" & they think his leg is broken. Now we are waiting to see what Vet is open. The soap opera goes on...

Hope Santa Claus is really good to you. Have a blessed Christmas. Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Jerry gave me an early Christmas present. He took Kaleigh to his parents house while he shovels their snow!!!!!! I have had the whole morning to myself. This has been soooo nice. I am guessing they will be back soon.

Sue: I am so sorry you are not feeling well. Get better soon!

Sandy: I usually do take pictures of the big snows. Maybe I can do that later. Jerry finished digging us out last night.

Bonnie: Too bad you won't be going to Jeanne's. I hope you have fun. Oh, and everything on me is original to, just some is a bit downsized. Too bad it isn't my weight!

Jeanne: That is so exciting! Congrats to your son! Hope Buddy is OK!

Off to make some tea and maybe watch a Christmas movie or read a book.

Have a blessed Christmas!

Susan-HOpe you are feeling better. Awful to have a fever like that everything aches!

Me-TOOTHACHE!!! I can't win! I have been suffering all day. Nothing is taking the pain away. Well, Ryan was his usual self...called my mom and cancelled going over there. A cold and too much to do. Guarantee it was more the too much to do. It figures. So he and Olivia will go see her Monday. Heck...why bother! Just because it was Christmas? He should go visit her other than holidays! OK...Don't get started!

Jeanne-what is a min-pin? A miniature Pinscher? Poor thing! Dogs don't bounce like cats do.

Have a Happy Holiday everyone. I probably won't get any sleep with this toothache.

Merry Christmas to All

Abcessed tooth...paged the dentist...no response...need antibiotic...I look like a chipmunk!

Buddy the miniature pinscher is okay (after costing $220.00). The Vet thinks it is just some tissue swelling but gave him some pain pills so he doesn't run around like a nut. The x-rays didn't show a break.

BONNIE: My cousin just got over an abcessed tooth & he is still in pain. Poor Bonnie. :sad2: The creme brulee cheesecake is pretty "smooth".

Derek called to say everything went well & he is officially engaged! :bride: :groom: I guess today when they come over for dinner we will discuss when they are planning to get married.

I am busy cooking - my 20 lb. turkey is in the oven & everything else is just basically waiting for it's turn in the oven. Took the two dogs to the park early this AM & you would be surprised how many people were in the park with their dogs on Christmas morning. It is really cold here but no SNOW :guilty:. Have a very Merry Christmas. Toodles, Hugs & Kisses :grouphug: JEANNE

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

I am taking a break from the cooking and cleaning I have to do every Christmas, actually I think I am hiding. Last year this time we had just told the kids they were going to Disney the next day. I think next year I will spend New Years in Disney again.

Sandy thank you so much for the ornaments and the Mickey with the snowman. It is super cute!! I love them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRY!!

Hope everyone us having a wonderful Christmas

BARB

Just a quick post to say Merry Christmas. The flu has struck this house. I was in the ER this morning (3:30am) with a fever of 104.9!!! Chest x-ray is clear but they think it is the flu. What an experience being in a bed beside some guy who had been beat in the face with a gun and wasn't the nicest of individuals to be around.

Paul and Turner went to mass yesterday without me and then ordered a pizza. Today, they went to my brother's house but didn't stay long. Paul now has a cough and fever. Turner is trying to take care of both of us. Definitely not the best Christmas we have had. Just glad it waited until we were back from Florida.

Back to bed.

Love you all!

Merry Christmas!!!

Poor Susan and Paul...I hope you feel better soon.

I am still miserable with this tooth. Never got a call back from the dentist...why give out an emergency beeper number? Tried 5 times. Called my family doctor, left a message with the answering service...no call back. Tomorrow morning will try the dentist again...no return call in an hour I will go to the ER...now have a slight fever. And all I needed someone to do is call in a prescription for an antibiotic!

Ended up at the only diner open with just my mom...didn't feel up to AC. not much of a Christmas.

Hi everyone. So sorry to hear Susan, Paul, and Bonnie are under the weather! I wish I was there to help out! I don't like to hear that you guys didn't have a very good Christmas. I hope you can get some anti's Bonnie. Don't wait too long for the dentist to call if your fever gets worst!

Jeanne, glad to hear the doggie is ok! Congrats to your son!! What a nice Christmas for you and your family!

We had a very nice Christmas AFTER the Anna Marie crap that is. I did go to church Christmas eve to see Makenzie sing with the other two kiddies. I never did get Anna Marie Christmas eve (LONG STORY but I will post the whole story on a later post). Christmas morning after we opened gifts, Garry went to bed since he had worked Christmas eve and stayed up to open the gifts from Santa. Then around 2pm, the kids and I went over to my mom's to see my uncle's family who came in from Milan Ohio. We got home around 6pm and the kids were wiped out! SO many toys, so little time.

Today I'm cleaning the house, putting away stuff and baking more. I make a coffee nut tort that my late grandmother always made this time of year. I'm also making turkey with all the trimmings too. Yesterday I made filet mingon (sp) for the family. I ususally make that for Garry on Christmas eve, but this year the other officers who were working that night decided to have a "ribs and fixings" dinner at the station. So I just made him some homemade french onion soup and them I made some pasta salad and "cheezy potatos" for the guys at the station while the other guys made the ribs and brought other side dishes.

Well gonna go. I'll check back in later! Hope all the sickies start feeling a little better!

I was so sorry to get on and read how sick everyone is. Sorry Paul, Susan and Bonnie. Did anyone ever call you back Bonnie? I think that is so totally absurd! Maybe Walgreens might give you a couple. I know that some of them do. Gosh, I wish you lived here. My dr. has me keep antibiotics around because of my rheumatic fever. Susan and the ER. How horrible to be put through that at Christmas.

The rest of you sounded pretty good.

Barb, you are very welcome.

We went to the movies yesterday and saw "Meet the Fockers" (sp). Very, very funny but DON'T bring kids. Had a ham dinner afterwards. Nice relaxing day. Got lots and lots of Disney dollars for the Panama trip. I was so excited!

Have to run. It was a nice day so we washed the cars. Ted is doing the final chamois on my car.

Miss you all!

So sorry to hear some of you are very under the weather. I hope you all get well soon!

We had a VERY nice Christmas. I am glad I decided not to work. The look on Kaleigh's face when she saw all the presents under the tree was priceless. She really made out. Jerry got me some nice stuff and he was happy with his gifts as were Jasper and Hera. We ate ate Jerry's brother's house. His parents needed a u-haul for the gifts they brought. It took forever to open gifts, but the kids had fun. Jerry's mom made us a new afghan to match our new furniture in dark purple, forest green and cream. It is really nice.

We had a successful shopping adventure today. Jerry took me to work since the roads by us were still coated in about 2 inches of ice, plus we had a little more snow. So, he picked me up from work and we went straight to the mall. I bought the kids Christmas tree and a box of ornaments for it at Hallmark. I bought two Yankee candles on sale and a box of donkey's for my manger. I bought a Santa and the Dillard's bear. I stocked up on wrapping paper and bows. I bought Kaleigh a Christmas dress for next year and some other clothes that were on sale. I got everything at at least 50% off. I love shopping the day after Christmas!

Kaleigh received a stuffed white kittie from her Godfather. We asked her what she wanted to name it and without skipping a beat, she said Ollie. She misses him.

Jerry has off tomorrow and Friday and works from home on Wednesday so I can go to work. We are having friends over on Friday and then off to Jerry's parents on New Years. I need to put my pork roast in the freezer.

Jeanne: Glad Buddy is OK!

Julie: Sounds like you will be busy cooking! Too bad about Anna Marie.

Sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas, at least those that weren't sick.

So sorry to hear that we had some sick people over the holidays :sad1:

Our family had a great time together. A little crazy :crazy2: but isn't that what it's like in every family! We saw "Meet the Fockers" too. We all thought it was hilarious

Planned a nice after Christmas dinner with my cousin before she goes back to North Carolina & then an old friend joined us for dinner & picked up the tab! We had a great time together & I hadn't seen him for about two years. We have been friends for 29 years.

Back to work tomorrow (I hope I remember how to work :scared1:). Have a great week. Miss you all :grouphug: . 2005 is going to be such an exciting year! Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE
