Had fun talking and opening gifts last night. We missed Barb, Sally, Patti, Krista and Jeanne, wish you all could have made it. Thanks for the good laughs Julie, Denine, Susan and Bonnie.

THANK YOU SALLY for the cute pooh candle (which is purple, my fav color and fav character in the whole wide world!!!) and for the cute Pooh and friends ornaments. They instantly went up on the tree last night.

Today is a going away/birthday luncheon for my boss and we are going to a Chinese Buffet. I have a feeling I am going to gain a few pounds at lunch!!!

Slow today.

Good morning to all. We sure missed all of you who weren't able to attend the gift opening. Just not the same without the whole group. We had a good time and probably talked for an hour or so. Susan had my name and I got a wonderful mug of Charlottes skyline that has Susan's office bldg on it and to top it off, I got a cool wooden Nutcracker dressed in a ship captains outfit. It so reminds me of the Disney Cruise. Thanks Susan!

Busy day here. I get both Noah and Graci today and tomorrow. The kids are anxiously awaiting a craft project. We are making Santa out of red suckers. Tomorrow we are making reindeer out of clothespins. I have to weigh in with the kids today. Not looking forward to that one!

They are forecasting very cold temps for us this week. Today tho will remain in the 50's. Even talking about some dusting of snow through the week. Now they are saying that the storm might track a different direction so we might end up with more snow.

I'm so jealous of Susan. As I am typing I was thinking about her going to Wilderness Lodge and looking at the Christmas decorations. That was me last year. I really, really loved that trip! If only..........

Heidi, I got your email but I can't send any out but you are more than welcome. When I was at Disneyworld and saw the candle I knew it had your name on it......the ornaments too. Matter of fact everything with Pooh said take me to Heidi!

I went back to Curves this morning for the first time since Oct. My ankle did pretty good but I didn't push it....my cough is almost gone so am going to try to go the next couple days then off to Patti's and I will miss 2 weeks. Sure is hard to lose when you don't exercise and not watching what you eat. After the holidays I have to get serious about it again.

I got my hair cut really short Friday and today my friend is going to color it for me....think I will run to Walmart before she comes......

I got your gift.....Thank you Krista for the fairy santa.....

I have lunch on for Dick so better go before it burns.....but I thought you would like to know it got here

Okay it is too windy here, just got back from lunch and the newscast said there is 90mph winds. I can't believe how windy it is here right now. Of course today I have to get gas because I pushed it through the weekend, I knew I should have gotten it yesterday...the wind is going to blow me over!!!

Jerry worked from home today, so this is my first opportunity to sign on.

Thank you Patty for the aroma therapy and tennis ball. That one had us all laughing!

Really enjoyed talking with everyone last night. Was hoping more of you would join the chat.

We had a treachorous drive to and from my parents in that awful snow storm. The official total was 8" at the airport whihc is a fairly neutral spot. Out east always gets dumped on. We didn't get that much, but I have no idea how much we got. It was sooo windy, everything just drifted over here. Some places had no snow and others' had over a foot.

We had a decent time. We ate as soon as we got there since we were 1/2 hour late. Jerry was all stressed from the white knuckle drive for 1-1/2 hours. We opened present right after we ate. Kaleigh received a talking vacuum cleaner from my parents which she loves and a Little People doll house from my brother. We got my brother 3 bottles of wine and some goodies to go in the basket, plus the basket itself. He got us a tin of chocolate popcorn from the boyscouts. Hmmm...

Jeanne: Enjoy your shopping trip whil the other's are gambling.

Heidi: That is windy!

Bonnie: How did your day go with your favorite employee?

Sally: Just don't over do it!

Jerry is working from home again tomorrow, but it is so he can go down to Akron to get new tires put on the car. His friend works for Firestone and got a great price. The thing is he has to go to Akron. I just printed off all the driving instructions for him so he doesn't get lost. So, I should get on line in the afternoon.

Sally, you are more than welcome.

Thanks tons Lauter's! I do have to admit that we were at Big Cedar Lodge and Clare was having her elf tuck-in during the chat. SO...Julie, she thinks that the Elf left her those really cool presents - Disney photo album and great Mickey stickers. Sorry, but I will break it to her soon.
Thanks so much for the yummy Giradelli chocolates, we love them and the great Disney Cruise ornament. We will think of you every time we look at it on the tree.

Sorry again to miss the chat, hope we will have an after the holidays wine or nog chat.

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

Krista

Hi there everyone! Been busy around here today. Anna Marie's mother HAD to have her this morning, so I made her come over here to pick her up. I am soooooooooo tired of this poo!! (to put it nicely). Then between the other three, I had no time to much of anything. I had to make brownies for Makenzie's daisy troop since I was snack mom tonight. They made "reindeer brownies". All you do is make the brownies in a shallow pan like a cookie sheet with sides (whatever that pan is called, maybe a jelly roll pan?). Then you cut the brownies into triangles (cut the "sheet" of brownies in half then the halves into triangles). You take a triangle brownie and put a dab of chocolate frosting on each of the three points. Then you take 2 mini pretzels and stick one in two of the chocolate dabs (the 2 points closest to each other) for the antlers. Then you take a red M&M and place that in the last chocolate dab point. Finally, to finish it off, you put 2 dabs of white frosting in the center of the triangle for the eyes and put a colored M&M in each white frosting dab. Now you have a reindeer brownie. Anyways, that is what they did for "snack" at brownies! My mother watched the other 2 while I was at the meeting with Makenzie. My grandmother from Florida is just amazed with Brooke and everything she can do. Today she was copying The Big Guy and running around the house saying I did it! I did it! Clear as a bell!

Barb, THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for the Snow White cottage! I love it!! It goes soooooo well with our Disney Christmas house. I might even keep it out after Christmas. I'm sorry that you couldn't have been on the chat so I could tell you how much I really loved it!

Bonnie, we need a "co worker" update!

Krista, I was hoping that you would like your gift. I thought that the disney cruiseline ornament would be great since that is where we all became friends! I hope that Clare fills her photo album with great pictures and when we go on the REUNION cruise, she can take more pictures and re-fill it with pictures of her disney crusie family!!! I had to wait for the chocolates to come in the mail before I could send your gift out. I ordered it from Disney in the beginning of Dec, but it didn't come until last Tuesday!

Gonna go, I've got laundry to do. I'll check back in tomorrow!!!

Is it Thursday yet? I am so ready for the long weekend!!!

Not much going on today, just stopped by to wish everyone a good morning.

Good Morning!

I am sorry I missed the chat. Missy and Mike came over, we wrapped presents and I made pizza then watch Return of the King. I totally forgot about the gift exchange. My gifts are still under the tree.

Glad you like the house Julie. I thought is was cute.

Is everyone ready for Christmas??

Barb

Good morning everyone.

Heidi was right. I can't believe the wind yesterday. Thank goodness it died down. I heard on the news gusts of up to 100. It was blowing over the little planes and even a semi. It wasn't so cold until 4 or so in the afternoon. Now we are expecting Arctic air for 2-3 days and some snow tonight. Good luck if you guys get this one!

Denine, your drive didn't sound like fun to me. Ted doesn't mind driving in it. He just has to hit me over the head so I go out cold. It's ME that drives him nuts in that weather. I get sooo scared. To think I grew up in So Dak where it is 3 times worse!

Sally, a fairy Santa. It sounds so cute!

Krista, that lodge sounds so cool. Tell us all about your experience.

Julie, the brownies sound so cool. I am going to have to print out the instructions and that can be craft for next year. They love food crafts!

Nothing new here either. Better run.

Hi Barb, we posted the same time. Pizza?? Did anyone say pizza? I haven't had one since I started my diet. mmmmmmmm. Maybe Thursday. Shhhhhh, don't tell LA WEight loss.

Today it is sunny and supposed to get to 45. Tomorrow afternoon we are expecting another snowstorm and it is supposed to be 11 degrees on Christmas. BRRRRR!!!!!

Jerry is down in Akron getting the tires put on. Kaleigh is napping.

Not much else going on. I have a loaf of bread in the bread machine.

Why oh why didn't they have a fire drill in the last 2 days when it was actually warm outside. No they waited today to have it when we sit outside in the parking lot freezing in the cold weather with the cold wind whipping our faces.

Poor Heidi. Bad planning on their part!!

Denine, I wish I could turn on my bread machine but I would eat it. Sorry Heidi!

Just heard that we will be attending a funeral this Thursday. Just not something that I want to do before Christmas. I used to babysit a family that became an extended part of our family. The grandpa died over the weekend unexpectedly in AZ. It was sad to hear. He was a dear man! My dad and him use to get along so well. Now they are together.

Crazy day. Stacey called and is headed to the hospital. She just can't keep anything down with this morning sickness so they are going to hydrate her. They say that the baby is not in jeopardy. Stacey has lost 12 pounds and is in her 13th week. She is scared and I can't go with. I have the kids. It is so hard sitting around here twittling my fingers! I was pacing and then I thought that I would alarm the little ones so I came in here to sit and talk to you all.

Sandy, I wouldn't worry too much. My sister in law lost I believe 15lbs with her morning sickness. Both came through just fine. Pixie dust both to you and to Stacy. She ended up gaining weight in the end. THe first three months are a killer with morning sickness.

Sally, I got your PM. Glad to hear eveything worked out.

Just trying to clean up from the last few days. Gonna bake the Christmas cookie tonight.

Well, gonna go. I'll be back!

Keep us posted Sandy!!

Sandy-don't worry too much with Stacy...they say morning sickness means a healthy baby. She can go home with IV fluids to keep her hydrated...spoken like a true nurse who works for the insurance company!! However, most people are more comfortable at home.

Heidi-I love my gifts!!! The snowman went on as soon as I got home last night and of course the ornaments are on the tree. I told all at work about our exchange...they just smile and shake their heads...they just don't get it!!!

We are in desparate need for a wine chat (or at least I am) !!! Not as much fun on a work night.

Employee update...Yep, showed up at work on Monday...unfortunately, and despite all my prayers did not have a resignation letter in hand. Still waiting to hear from HR who has contacted legal...you all know why they have to be involved...to make sure all t's are crossed and i's dotted on this one. Speaking of employees...what ever happened to teamwork and consideration of others and unit rules. The rule is one nurse of each category at a time. These people think nothing of scheduling dr's appointments when someone else is off then put in a request for the day off..."it's the only appointment I could get." Was I born yesterday? Is the dr retiring the next day or next week or something?! Give me a break!! I am getting to the point of looking for another job! The law is being laid down at the next meeting...if a request is put in when someone has off it is being denied! So don't even go there!

I went to the Outlet Stores at "The Walk" by myself while the others loss their money but it was FREEZING. The wind/chill must have been below zero when the sun went down. My cousin from N.C. & I ate at Angelo's & then went to the Irish Pub for a beer & to pick up our sons. On the way home we stopped at the Shore Mall. Then Teddy & I picked up BOTH doggies - Dodger & Jake (I hope that isn't a mistake!).

It sounds like everyone is getting ready for Christmas. Tomorrow I am going to do the grocery shopping. I am planning on going REALLY early. I want to get as much done in advance as possible.

Hope you all are well. Bonnie keep us updated! Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Bonnie - I am so glad you like what I got you for the exchange. I was hoping you would like it!!! With your reaction to the Mickey Mouse/Snowman figurine my mom and I are now wishing we got ourselves one!!! So mom - how is that search going?

Well Christmas is here the only person that gave me some dificulty with their present was my mom. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING that I tried to get her became nonexistant, so I had to go to plan C and even then some things fell through. OH well, leave it to my mom to be difficult!! Hopefully she will like what I ended up with!!

Today is the last full day of work tomorrow will be a 1/2 day, my dad the spoiled brat gets tomorrow and friday off!! He wants to trade me though because he said that extra day is in replace of the raise that I got this year that he didn't get!! Doesn't look to promising for President Bush to give us civilian employees a raise for 2005, so maybe we will get an extra day (j/k).

It is very snowy here today, it is 16 degrees out, but it doesn't feel very cold. We got about 3 inches and still snowing. My dad would love to snow plow in this, too bad he has to work.
