We have about 3 inches here and still snowing too.....I sure hope it stops soon and waits until we leave for Hobbs tomorrow morning....

I took my tree down....can you believe it! They came and installed Tivo yesterday and it was in the way and this way I don't have to do it when I get home. Dick got me Tivo for Christmas....I was a little concerned about it as I have trouble with operationing Tv but it is really easy. Now I can record Amazing Race while I am gone. I can record 2 programs at once and set it to record anything that has the same title whenever it comes on. I think the most amazing thing is that is only costing $4.95 a month....they were running a holiday special...I guess normally it is $l2 a month. Of course there is an installation cost but it wasn't bad.

I have to pack this morning and do laundry. I changed my scrapbook room around Monday....Ken came and got the furniture I am sending down to Patti and he moved the bookcase in where the organ was....so after he left I started rearranging and worked until 2:30 in the morning. Yesterday I packed my scrapbook stuff that I am taking to Patti's so we can scrapbook next week...we are all working on our Disney Albums.

Wow Sally that sounds like a great deal. I wish we could record 2 programs at once, but I guess I am still spoiled since we can record live TV, 1 program at a time. So is it Tebo or Tivo? I have heard of Tivo before so I was wondering if it is the same thing.

Mom - Stacey called, she was at the hospital until 10:00 last night. I guess they wanted her to do 3 bags, but they only did 2 and they wouldn't let her go home until her Keytones (????whatever that is) went down. She told me we studied keytones in child and maternal nutrition but obviously that class didn't stay with me, and to think I paid $300 + books for that class!!!

The two dogs are making me crazy . One comes in, one goes out. I finished baking the rest of my cookies & started my stuffing (don't laugh). It takes me forever to do the celery & onions. So I am going to put the stuffing together so I only have to bake it.

Colorado has snow. I'm jealous.

BONNIE: What are you doing for Christmas? You can come & have dinner with my nutty family if you don't have any plans. We are planning on dinner around 4:00 PM. The usual - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, turnip mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing & vegetables. Let me know if you're interested.

Hope you all are having a terrific week. Are you excited yet? Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Yes it is Tivo but they call it DirectTV DVR.....anyway it is great. At least I can operate it...lol.

What did you think of AR? I was surprised when they didn't get rid of a team and it is continued.....

Sally - I was so suprised about the To Be Continued on AR. I don't remember them ever doing that in any other AR's. I keep having a very strong dislike for the team that was pulled for you. Johnathon drives me crazy, I would never stand for being treated that way. I just want to slap him!!!!

So Jeanne what exactly were you stuffing?

I know....I want him to lose so bad.....he is a very dislikeable person and she is nuts for being with him.....my other team of the father and daughter is doing a lot better than I ever thought they would.

Dick came home from work early today because he isn't feeling very well. He has been coughing....sounds like he is getting what I had and I am not over it entirely and it is going on 3 weeks. I am going to have him ask the doctor if he can give him something...we are suppose to leave in the morning and between him not feeling good and the weather it isn't looking too good right now.

Hello, hello, hello!

I am in a GREAT mood. I lost 2.4 in two days. Maybe I have overcome the plateau. I have done it before and gained so who knows? I went to the mall today to celebrate and tried on clothes. Size 12 is a little snug but 14 is too big. I am on my way to a 10!

Jeanne, can I come too for Christmas dinner? It would be so fun to be with you guys over the holiday! :grouphug: I am exactly like you. I put my meal together in advance of a holiday so I don't have to do as much on THE day. Wow, do you guys like different mashed potatoes or what?

Sally, be very careful driving. I hear the snow is stretching all the way to NM. I was shocked for the "to be continued" on AR. I don't think we have ever seen that before.

Bonnie, hang in there. Things will get better.....hopefully. Yea, what are you doing on Christmas? Call me if you have a moment.

Julie, thanks for making me feel better about Stacey. I know everything is ok BUT it is MY dd and my grandbaby so it makes it feel different.

Heidi, should I call WDW and place an order for those decorations? Come on Merry Christmas to ourselves! Might not have them next year! Maybe an extra one for Stacey and Richard next year. I think I have talked myself into them.

Better run. I have to find something, anything to wear to the funeral tomorrow. I got to thinking that the high is to be 6 tomorrow so I will be in a long coat. Nobody would realize that my pants were ready to fall off!

If I have time, I will check back in later. Wow, was I a wordy person today. Guess I DO feel good today!

Love to all!

Hi everyone! It is snowing like crazy outside!!!!!!!! The westside is getting hit pretty good today. It usually is the eastside that gets all the snow, but not this time! I love the snow!! I have plowed the drive once today and by the looks of things, I'm gonna have to plow the drive again before Garry goes to work. It's gonna be a race to see who gets to do the drive!! We got a new snowblower this year and it is soooooo much fun to use!! That is why I did the drive once already(he was sleeping so I could use it). He will probably win for the second blowing, but that's ok. I love doing things like that snow blowing, mowing the lawn..etc... Garry does too, so it is a "race to the equipment". We do share!!! It isn't suppose to stop snowing until tomorrow evening!! YEAH!!!!!!!!! I think we have about 8 inches so far and it's still coming down!!!!!

Well, tis the season! The AnnaMarie and Cheryl crap (sorry for using that, but that is what it is!!!!) has begun! Every year we seem to have these "disagreements" as to what the plans are for the holidays. Cheryl (the ex) comes up with arrangements we all agree on and then changes them to fit HER needs and wants! OR she can't make plans until the last minute and then WE have to change our plans!! This year it's the samething!! Long story short, but I as asked her if I could get Anna Marie a little earlier this CHristmas eve at 6pm instead of the 7pm/7:30pm time due to Makenzie was going to sing in church at 7pm and I wanted to be there and would like to have Anna Marie there too. Plus I wanted her to spend sometime with Garry since it is his birthday. WELL, longer story short..... I'm meeting her at 7:15pm! NICE working with you witch!!!! If someone would have taken my blood pressure last night, they would have put me in the hospital it would have been so high!!!!!!!!! I end up being the bad guy either way you look at it, don't pick up Anna Marie and we don't see her for Garry's birthday and Christmas or do pick her up and then any plans that we would have as a family Christmas get shot down. Oh well, like I said before..... tis the season!!!! Sorry had to vent!

WHEN'S THAT WINE CHAT?????

Poor Julie. I know how much she agrravates you!

Still snowing like crazy. They are talking a foot of snow when it is over. Still have to get outside and shovel tonight. Probably not until Kaleigh is in bed.
Jerry worked from home most of the day. He will do so again tomorrow. I certainly don't mind and neither does Kaleigh!

Heidi: Jerry doesn't get raises either and it has nothing to do with the president! He just had a firedrill the other day when it was feezing out. He said half the building didn't evacuate.

Sandy: Good for you. We aren't even weighing ourselves right now. We are trying to be as good as we can, but we can't give up our holiday treats. Sorry about your friend.

Jeanne: Did you get any good bargains?

Bonnie: The saga continues.

Our 1st snowplow of the day just went past. A truck delivering wood got stuck earlier today.

Sally: Be careful and I hope Dick feels better.

Stacey will be fine. Some women just have it worse than others'. I did get away easy when it comes to that part of motherhood.

I wish we were getting snow! 50 today rain predicted. YUK!

Am I being unreasonable regarding time off? I sent the email saying if someone is off don't even bother putting in a request. I receive a scathing email from one of the offenders. People are so narrow minded. She seemed have forgotten all the times I didn't deduct time for her running to the doctor's or 1/2 day when she got sick or leave early or start late. All I heard about was how she sometimes works until 5PM! WOW! to boot she works from home! And not only that but upper management think that working from home decreases the amount of time lost from work...How about 7 days of call outs in less than a year? Just venting here! I guess my work ethic is out of the ordinary. I must expect too much based on what I do. Oh well...

Safe trip to Hobbs.

Julie-what a rip! would 1 hour and 15 minutes make that much of a difference? Gee, she sounds like some of my associates!

Heidi-whenever you get something for someone that you really like you should get one for yourself. I am regretting not buying one of the bracelets I gave to my fellow sups for myself!

Jeanne thanks for the invite. My mom is coming over...she wants to do dinner at a diner so I don't have to cook. Also invited to an open house which she probably won't want to go to which means I won't get to go. Darn!

Bonnie: I don't think you are being unreasonable about time off. When Jerry has an appointment, he does work from home, but he still gets up at the same time and then works later in the day to make up for the lost ttime, like yesterday with the tires.

We are home. I haven't read all that I missed but I wanted to post a quick note. Enjoyed the chat and gift exchange on Sunday evening. Wish everyone could have joined in. This time of year is hard to get everyone's schedule together. Just know, those not on the phone were definitely missed!! Bonnie, thanks for the box of goodies. Even Stanley says thanks. He is home with us and I gave him one of his treates as a welcome home.

We had a great trip but Monday was definitely cold at WDW. We ended up going back to the room a little early. I wanted to see Wishes but we postponed until Tuesday night since it was so cold. Tuesday's weather was great. Not too hot and not too cold. Wishes was fantastic. I just wish we could have had a little more time there.

Denine - I picked up the tooth fairy pillow. Since I haven't unpacked, it won't go in the mail tomorrow but it will soon. I found it at Tinkerbell's Treasures at Magic Kingdom and didn't have to go back to Downtown Disney. It is really cute. Now, I know why you wnated it.

Miss you all but I have to get laundry started and get to bed early. We were up at 4:45 and on the road by 6:00am. I have to work tomorrow and half-day Friday. I'll try to post tomorrow again.

Later!

Bonnie, I don't think you are being unreasonable either! People want everything for nothing! They think they DESERVE the right to do and get whatever they want!!! Garry always says, "I can't stand people"!!! Keep to your guns Bonnie!!! They don't like it, TOUGH!!!! We got your back Bonnie!! LOL!

Susan, glad to see you all made it home safe and sound! I love WISHES! I cry everytime I see it!

Sandy, congrats on the 2.4lbs!!! I've hit a plateau and need to get out of it too! I just keep doing my treadmill and bowflex but nothing seems to be coming off.

I was sooooo surprised to see the "to be continued" on the Amazing Race last night. Garry and I agree that we haven't seen that before either. I was thinking that it was going to be a non elimination segment because of the "toy car" thing, but I was wrong!

Boy, is it really really coming down again! I have done the driveway twice and it needs to be done again!!! I'm thinking that we will have a good 12 inches by tomorrow! I do love the snow! They are saying that we might be getting some freezing rain along with this snow. Now that I don't like!

Well, gonna go! I'll be back tomorrow!

Update from Ohio: We have at least a foot of snow and it still is coming down!!! They are saying that this storm could break records! The roads are unpassable! The three police cruisers that are out (the only police working for the city tonight- 3 officers for an entire city), are getting stuck in the side streets! Garry came home for a quick second and got stuck on our street! It is getting really bad out. I love the snow, butnow it is getting pretty yucky out. I would almost say it could count as a blizzard! Garry says there are cars all over the city stuck! The lovely city we live in only has a skeleton crew plowing and they aren't getting the job done! They can't call anyone in from the service garage because they said that the "first crew" worked 16hours already and they can't come back in until 4 am. NICE!! I sure hope no one need the police before then! Well, gonna go to bed...... Let it snow let it snow let it snow!!!

Julie, when we lived in Ohio about 70 miles from Cleveland, one time we had a blizzard like that and Dick was a township trustee. He went out to help plow because the road crew had worked so many hours he decided to help. Well he didn't come home and in those days there wasn't cellphones. I had no idea where he was...finally in the late morning he got home....he had been stuck all night on a country road. It was rather scarey not knowing what happened to him. The snow lasted for days....how well I remember those Ohio snows!!!

Up bright & early with my two doggie babies but they are getting better! Both went out at 5:45 AM & did their "business" & are now chewing bones. I hate this WARM weather. I want YOUR snow!!!!!!!!!!!!

SANDY: You have an open invitation... Christmas, New Year's, Spring Fling, whatever. You, Ted & Heidi are always welcome.

BONNIE: Don't go to the diner. Bring your Mom along. My Mom, Aunt, Cousin from N.C. & her two sons, my two sons & future daughter-in-law will be here along with numerous dogs (probably four!). The more the merrier. We may have to eat in shifts but who cares! PLEASE COME! :grouphug:

As soon as the hour gets a little more reasonable I will call my cousin & ask her if she wants to be to the "Berlin Mall". You'll have to ask Bonnie about that place.

Try to keep warm. We are in the 60's (hate it). Have a great day. Try to get too excited :jumping1: Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Wow it is really snowing in Ohio, I wish it would snow that much here so I wouldn't have to go to work today!!! We got a little bit of snow last night, they said about an inch and a half, but I wish I had Julie's snow. I remember our Blizzard 2 years ago with the 48 inches...I loved it, my mom and I had so much fun even though we had to shovel so much and our backs were killing us...my dad was stuck up in the mountains with my grandpa for a night!! I drove home in the blizzard and so did my dad...like father like daughter, what were we thinking??? I will never do that again!! But I just had to get home to my mom....such a mommy's girl I am!!

Mom - did dad go out and snow plow last night since he doesn't have to work today?

Well today we got an email message about the e-gov initiative and outsourcing of HR to service centers...nice to do that right before the holidays to make us remember that in a year we could all lose our jobs. What were they thinking?

If I don't get back on, everyone have a Very Merry Christmas.

Heidi, oh my gosh, that is so unreal. What does Lori say? Talk to Randy and see if HE knows more. I am so sorry to read that. Good thing that you didn't sign on the dotted line for the house!

WELCOME HOME Susan. Sorry about your weather in FL. Hope it didn't spoil your trip. My day today will be laundry as well.

Julie, I absolutely love those kinds of storms. I love it when no one can get around! I remember just a couple of years ago (a different one that Heidi was talking about) that they were asking for anyone with a 4 wheel drive to help get the Broncos to the airport. Man, we are so sports minded in this country. Stupid! We have a snowblower and if Ted is nice he can use it, too. I love mine!

Denine and Julie, stay safe and warm! Look at the bright side of it. You will definitely have a WHITE CHRISTMAS!

Awwww, Jeanne. You are so nice. Wish we could come for real. It would really make it a special holiday. Sounds like your house will be full of love. (and food)

Bonnie, what can I say about some employees? No ethics! We might go out to eat as well. Our family gathering for my extended family is here tomorrow which leaves us open on Christmas. We have been doing that for years so that the little ones in the familes can enjoy their toys on Christmas day. We have been going to movies for the last 5 or six years. My immediate family will open gifts early and have a brunch and then Stacey will leave to go to her in laws in Monument. (between here and Barbs)

Well, it is terribly cold out. I heard that the wind chill is -18. What does a person do? I feel it is disrespectful to wear boots into the church for the funeral but it is still snowing. Guess I will put them in the car and decide what to do when I get there.

Gosh, Heidi. All I do is think about you now. Hopefully they will give you more info. But remember.......this job will be good for "experience" on an application if you need to find a new job. Trying to do this fresh out of college would have made it very difficult. Guess what! I might make dad take me to get lutefisk. Mmmmmmmm

It's us snowbunnies here! We have about a good 18inches on the ground. Early this morning we had a freezing rain which didn't help matters. It turned back into snow around 8am. Our temp is going to be dropping. They sayby Christmas morning it will be inthe single digits or even in the negatives! I'm really happy about having a white Christmas. I wish I could send some Jeanne and Bonnie's way!

Heidi, sorry to hear about your email. People can be sooooo rude during this time of year. Last year we had 3 companies which closed their doors to their employees without any warning. Try not to let it get to you, which I know is hard. They will be sorry campers if they lose a great employee and person like you!!! Keep your chin up and pixie dust your way!!

Well, If I don't get back on.......EVERYONE HAVE A VERY BLESSED AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

OH YEAH..... and for tomorrow.... Christmas Eve.........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRY!!!!! :cake: :bday: :cake: :bday: :cake: Hope you have a great day sweetie!!!!

Happy Birthday Old Man!!! A day early!

I wish we had that snow!!! POURING RAIN! WIND! and 60 degrees! YUK! Umbrella turned inside out several times walking to the train today. I agree with Sandy and Heidi...I love being snowed in. As long as I have food in the house. Around here when a big storm is predicted you cannot find eggs, milk or bread. Weird!

Well, off until Monday. YEA!! Meet with legal next Wed. I can't wait. Today was good at work. Everyone brings in the little ones (except our division, forbidden) but I still get to have fun with the ones from the other areas. Our HR rep brought his 2 year old...what a beauty!! She one a contest and her picture ended up on the cover of Baby Talk. Not a shy bone in her body. Tje Disney kids brought a gift for me because I helped mom plan their trip. The little girl is my soul mate...loves TOT!!! I told them next is the Disney Cruise!! Mom said to let her know the next time all the cruisers plan to go and count her in!! We are growing!!! April 2006 right all???????

Jeanne...started to talk to my mom about Christmas dinner...she wasn't biting, said she would call me tonight.
