I received the Monster PIN twice (as did my husband) but it excluded our week (11/7 -14). Anyone have a clue why that one week was excluded? As far as I know there isn't anything special going on so I'd think that would be slow week they are trying to push.

Anyway, I'm just curious because with all these rumors of the free dining possibly coming out in the next few weeks, I'm wondering if my week will still be excluded?

I'd really appreciate any insight anyone might have!

Got a great deal on airfare for 10/13-19. Monster pin code wasn't eligible for those dates--praying for a hotel percent off or a pin...

ok we havent booked..been waiting for the deal to come out for 11/9-11/14 but im curious..what is jersey week and is it that week? we picked that week bc of the kids bday 11/10 and 11/13 should we decide against it?

I am hopefully going Nov 27 - Dec 1, I am just waiting for them to release a code or get a pin. I went ahead and got a couple hard to get dining reservations, however. Now guess what I am thinking???? Hmmmm, maybe Disneys website "knows" I have made reservations, thinks I am commited to going to Disney and now won't send me a pin. All this guessing and wondering about why, when and how people get codes, make you a little paranoid

Not as far as I can tell...that's the week prior. That's why I'm confused. I can't find any reason for that week being excluded.

Maybe bookings aren't lacking for that week or something. I'm still hopeful something will be offered other than free dining (which I couldn't care less about).

Jersey week is Nov. 1-5. We're looking to come down then also (Oct 29-Nov 5), so we can get the monster discount the first two nights at least. Wish there was something more, but I'm not counting on it!

Then that makes no sense at all. Early November is usually about as dead as the parks can get. I think a CM posted here last year that some of the parks were at 20 or 25 percent of capacity part of that time.

Jersey Week is when the kids have no school Thursday and Friday due to Teacher's Convention (The teacher's union--NJEA-- is very strong in this state.) Many people take their kids out for the entire week (Nov 1-5) and go to Disney then. It is a bit busy, though nothing like spring break from what I've been told! J

We are also going Nov 7-13...staying at a Value using the 20/30/40 PIN, and for us free dining would be a bigger savings over the PIN. I did not receive the Monster Pin, but also heard these dates were excluded, and not sure why either.

I'm guessing it's because of Veteran's Day falling on a Thursday? Not so sure though, because I got a pin for Veteran's Day week a few *years ago when it fell on a Tuesday.

This is the same time I am going, with 2 rooms to book! Haven't seen anything as yet, and my one party lives in San Fran and we are hoping to be booked by August!

Also when the November calendar came out on Nov 9th MK is listed as closing at 6:30 pm , it is not a MVMCP nite so I figure private function? Also I know CSR is showing no availablity for my week so Big Convention?

Something I sure seems to be up for that week or it could just be a lot of people like myself thought catching the last week of F &W, MVMCP, OL and Festival of the Master and there is some Golf Tourny happening too made that week the best time to go?

My hunch is it will be excluded for any general public discount too

That is my dream trip too and if we were not traveling this year with DS and Ddil who both can only get 1 week off for vacation I might have been tempted to book from Nov 1 to the 13th ...oh well there is always Next Year

Usually we stay at a DVC via points, so I've never had the opportunity to use a discount code &/or free dining. Can you please tell me if you also have to book park tickets in order to get the free dining? Only one person in our party needs tickets.

Thanks for the info. They don't seem like major events that would impact the whole of WDW but I guess they do!
