My family and I are coming to WDW in July, and I am planning to order multi-pass LL for each park on the morning when I am able to (7 days in advance of our arrival). In anticipation of that day, I have a few questions.

- Do we have five minutes to make our selections and check out for each park? For example, I am planning to prioritize HS first because Slinky Dog Dash is so tough to reserve. So, I could (hopefully) pick that, Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Mania, pay the price of four multi-passes, and then start EPCOT, MK, and AK (likely in that order)?
- We don't need to declare which days we'll be going to which park until LL check-out, correct? So, this will be the point in the trip planning where we actually "lock in" what's been on my draft itinerary for weeks?
- We are planning to do a half day at MK on the Sunday when we arrive and a full day on Thursday before leaving on Friday. Would I order multi-passes for both days as part of the same transaction?
- If my youngest daughter decides she doesn't want to ride some of the more intense rides, like ToT or Expedition Everest, can she and my wife just not check in at those reserved times and switch their third multi-pass ride of the day somewhere else?

Yes 5 minutes but each park is an individual transaction. You are able to book your days out of order to prioritize your park selections. In your example you can Select HS, make your (3) initial selections, and adjust your attraction times before checking out. Then you are able to mix your next most popular park.

We don't need to declare which days we'll be going to which park until LL check-out, correct?
Yes you are purchasing for a park, and a day in a single transaction.

Would I order multi-passes for both days as part of the same transaction?
No LLMP are on a per day basis, and again limited to a single transaction per pay / park basis.

If my youngest daughter decides she doesn't want to ride some of the more intense rides, like ToT or Expedition Everest, can she and my wife just not check in at those reserved times and switch their third multi-pass ride of the day somewhere else?
Yes no problem making day of pack visit changes for your travel group or a subset of the whole party. You would just be modifying a LLMP selection at that same park or even for another park that same if you have park hoppers.

Does this make sense so far?

You might consider the Sunday MK second, right after you've bought/scheduled LLMP for HS. That's a weekend and your arrival day, so you should be exactly 7 days out for the first MK. Depending what's on your list that day, it might be easier to do that day and park second. Then EPCOT, the final MK day, and AK. Just a thought. Once you've gone through the schedule and purchase process once or twice, it'll seem easy for the remaining days!

Just be sure to have the approximate times you want to ride something - and if you don't get that exact time initially, just complete the purchase process, then go back and use modify to make minor tweaks to your times. The initial purchase isn't too keen on much overlap in your times. But modify will allow you to fine-tune things later. Hope that helps and doesn't make it sound more complicated!

Thanks very much for the helpful feedback. I really appreciate it.

Follow-up question I just thought of - We are planning to do HS on Tuesday, but let's say I log in, and Slinky Dog Dash is already gone for that day, can I back out of that transaction and look for it on, say, Monday instead?

Yes that is how it works. You get to see your (3) initial selections, and times and if they don't meet you plans then you don't have to complete the purchase step.

The first thing you do when purchasing is choose which day you are purchasing for. You select the date from a calendar. The next thing you do is decide what you are buying. You can buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass for any park, but only one park, for that day. You can also buy up to two Single Passes (assuming your ticket/pass allows park hopping). If you can park hop, you can use LLMP in more than one park, but you purchase it for one park and use it at least once in that park before choosing any attractions in other parks. You then decide what LLMP attractions you want in the park you are buying for, only one of which can come from the top tier in AK, MK and HS. If any attractions are unavailable for the day already, they'll be grayed out on the list of attractions you will be selecting from. MDE then offers you times for the three attractions you selected. You have up to five minutes to modify the offered attractions times to other available times, subject to restrictions on time overlap, or to other available attractions. You then complete your purchase. Each day is a separate transaction. You don't have to decide whether to purchase or not until the end. If you decide not to purchase LLMP for HS on Tuesday, you can go back to the beginning and choose a different day (Monday) and start over, assuming you haven't yet purchased LLMP for another park for that Monday. (If you have already purchased LLMP for another park on Monday, that can be modified to another day. But you'd have to do that before purchasing LLMP for HS on Monday.) Selections can be modified any time after purchase also, as in the case of your youngest daughter, but many have found it is easier to get times they want on the day of their park visit.

Thanks very much. I appreciate this advice, and it certainly makes sense.

Although, I will say that we are arriving at Wilderness Lodge on Sunday, July 5 around lunchtime. So, with the holiday crowds, there might not be three rides worth of multi-passes available. I'll take a look ASAP, but that day might end up just serving as a special Disney arrival memory (seeing the castle, Main Street, etc.), and any rides we can do are a bonus.

Thanks very much. I really appreciate this in-depth feedback.

Quick question about the single passes, which I haven't really looked into - Can those be booked on the same day as a multi-pass? So, for example, I could use an MK multi-pass on Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean, plus a single pass on Tron later that night?
