Barb - hmm, I am trying to picture a school teacher down there in her 70's or 80's. Hopefully my mom will figure it out. Glad Ethan is liking school, I think Joey and Tyler like it too, the problem they have is keeping Tyler awake. He gets very tired in the morning and ends up falling asleep.

I loved watching the girls play soccer, it made me laugh. Amanda would play and go right after the ball and Emily would stand in the middle of the field waiting for the ball to come to her. Of course when the ball came to her she wouldn't do anything and just talk to her friends! It was so funny! Basketball was also fun to watch them play. Now it is Emily that is playing volleyball and Amanda is trying to get into Track.

As for the twins, Joey and Tyler are doing pretty good. Last weekend Tyler lost his balance and burned his hands on a hot grill. Emily and Amanda are great, they love school now that they are in 7th grade! They are getting so big. Amanda called me last weekend to tell me something very important, turns out she got her period. Chris will be finished up with his Associates in Science and will transfer to Metro State to finish up with his Bachelors degree next semester.

Just a quickie, I am headed to the doctor for bloodwork. Time to check the thyroid again.

Heidi and Barb, I can't figure out who that lady is. Everyone use to know us because of our twins grow up and now they know us because of Stacey. Half the time we didn't know them. Heidi, I live in fear that it is Caroline (Carolyn). LOL

Barb, little posts are great. I can comprehend them better. LOL Missed you soooo much.

Julie, please post more today. We need to keep this family going through thick and thin.

I think of Krista almost daily. She is always in my buddy window. I might need to contact her and just check on her. I should also call Lori for lunch!

Heidi-You are such a great step Mom. I love the way the girls feel they can confide in you that says so much for your caring gental spirit!

Tyler's little burned hand :sad1:

My Mom said that the lady made a comment about her and Mary sitting at "her" table. not in a mean way but in a "By the Way!" way. :lmao:

I am SUPER excited for the new cruises to be announced!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE will you guys consider taking a reunion cruise again???

My sisters and brother and my parents are taking a family cruise in a few weeks to celebrate my Dads 80th birthday and my parents 60th anniversary. I cant go. Cant afford it with college the grandkids and still trying to bounce back from the wedding. I am so sad about not going makes me cry sometimes but it just the way things are. :sad1: Hope there is another family cruise.

Sorry Barb. I bet Stacey can sympathize with you about not going on the cruise with your family. I know there will be plenty of other opportunities. ya, I can't say that everyone at the campground is nice. Speaking about reunion cruises, Julie and I were just talking about one earlier this summer.

OMG Heidi, do you remember buying the Dill potato chips in Canada. Seriously, they are great and you would love them. They taste just like dill pickles. I will bring them down this weekend. Speaking of that, are you going down with us tomorrow?

Barb - that is funny what the lady said to your mom. That is so sad you couldn't go on the cruise with your family, I would be sad too. Hopefully you can plan one all together again soon. I am so up for a reunion cruise!!!!! My mom, Chris and I all want to go on the Dream so maybe we could plan for that!

Mom - yes, I will be hitching a ride with you tomorrow!

Anybody here ever eat at the Fountain or Picabu in the Dolphin? If so, which one in your opinion is the best? It looks like it will be our dinner on Saturday night. Maybe Breakfast, also.

It is great to see all the chatter being posted today. I don't have much to say except my dad has not been sick at all and he says he actually feels less pain today. That can be residual from the surgery meds, the steroids he has to take giving him a boost, or the chemo is starting to do its thing already (hopefully this is it).

He didn't take any pain medicine today so he was able to drive and he went to the hardware store to hang with the guys today - just a thing they do. I'm so glad he isn't worn out from yesterday.

Paul left for Florida and Turner and I fly out tomorrow afternoon. I am working from home 1/2 day and then getting him from school and on to the airport. Not sure if I will have internet access until we get back so don't worry if I don't post.

I would love to do a reunion cruise but not sure when we can swing it. We do talk about it all the time.

Sandy when do you go on your cruise? I am going to Disney for a week with my best friend and her son and will be there while Denine is there. Looks like we may be able to see each other while we are there. We are going down on Sunday, 9/27 and I come home on Friday, 10/2. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Her son will be 5 and her husband can only go for the last part of the week (he will fly in Thursday night) and I get to go in his place for the earlier part of the week.:woohoo:

I'm sitting in the ice rink. Turner has hockey practice til 9:50 (off ice and on ice). At least they have wireless access. I guess I will go farm for a little bit and then read.

Nope Susan. Ain't gonna happen. We leave next Friday for the cruise, staying at the Swan the night before. You and Denine are going over Ted's and my birthday. Wish I could be there for that day sometime! You will have a blast with a 5 year old with you. You crack me up, do a little farming at the ice rink.:lmao: Have a good time this weekend. Stay safe.

:woohoo:So happy your dad is feeling good so far!

Susan - Glad your dad is feeling better. Yay for WDW, enjoy your trip.

TGIF!!!!!! I can't wait to sleep in and not go to work! Anybody have any fun plans this weekend? We are just going to the campground to help my sister out and watch Joey and Tyler. Oh ya, and I get to pick up our lift tickets for this ski season!!!!!!

TGIF!

Another busy day at work.

Going to go for a walk soon.

We had so much f un at the fair yesterday. THe time went so fast and we didn't even see everything. I wanted to bring a steer home. He was so sweet. I love cows and I have to go to the fairs to get my cow fix. Growing up, we went to my parents friends a lot. They lived on a farm and had the usual farm animals. I spent my time in the barns. My favorite cows are the Herfords (red, white with blue eyes and pink rubbery noses) then the black angus. Doc kept snuggling up to me when I went to pet him. He is probably a market steer though and you know what that means. It breaks my heart. I love a good steak, but I can't eat it if it comes with a face and name!

I would love to have a reunion cruise!

No plans this weekend. We would like to take in a Crushers game. They are an independent minor league baseball team that just started here this year. They are only about 10 minutes from here.

Susan: Enjoy your parties! Good news about your dad!

Barb: I would like to get Kaleigh into basketball this winter. That would be fun to watch! Gotta love watching the kids play.

I will check in more this weekend. Kaleigh and I will have to do some school since she had 2 days off. She did math yesterday and that was it and Jerry was too busy with work today.

Enjoy the long weekend everyone!

Happy Saturday!

We went to a program on bugs at the park this morning. The kids caught all the bugs they could find and then we went back and the naturalist identified them and told the kids something about them. It was a beautiful morning for it.

Now I have chocolate chip banana bread in the machine and I still have to make sauce.

We are still catching up on school. Kaleigh is finishing Thursday's lesson and then she moves on to Friday.

Barb: Thanks for asking about Jazzy. He is doing OK. He is going up and down the steps more often and I am giving him less pain medicine. His heart has stabilized. He is being more social too.

Good news on Jazzy Denine. I can't believe how far he's come! Sounds like you are having a fun last few days. Good for you. Take advantage of the weather while you can. I, too, couldn't eat what I would come face to face with even if it's "just a cow". My SIL Richard is afraid of cows. We always laugh at him about it.

Big weekend at the campground. Heidi and I are watching the kids, Chris and Ted are washing and waxing the trailer and Stacey and Richard are busy with campground things. Tonight they are having a rib dinner and a live band. Hope I can go to the live band as they are AWESOME!

Sandy: Sounds like you are having fun too.

Kaleigh finished last weeks assignments today. We will have school tomorrow. I don't want to take any days off before we go on vacation.

We are going to take Jerry's Riviera out for a drive soon. Hoepfully we are going to a baseball game later. It is at 5PM.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Good Morning!

Thought I would post quick while I am tending to my farm. I have a friend visiting this weekend so I need to make it quick.

Denine-:cool1:Jazzy!!!! Glad he is going better!! Almost time for DISNEY YAY!!!!

Sandy-Sounds like a FUN weekend for you guys. How was the band?

Heidi-:hug::hug: Miss ya!

Happy Labor Day!

We just got back from our walk before it rains.
We just started school.

We had fun at the ball game last night. It was so convenient too. The stadium is only about 10 minutes from our house.

Julie - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new addition!! I miss my baby. He is at the kennel until tomrrow. Give yours hugs from me!!

We got home a couple of hours ago. Tired but had a great time in Florida. The surprise 50th party was great and the baby shower was awesome. She is having a girl so there were lotsof cute frilly things!!

Got to go walk on the beach a couple of times but just not enough.

Talked to my dad each day. Today he is starting to feel drained and worn out. But, otherwise, still helping with the pain. He is going in on Thursday for Zometa to help strengthen the bones.

I'll try to chekc in again later this evening. I am doing laundry and need to get some dinner going.

Missed you guys - had no internet access!!!!!!!!!!! I hated that part.

LYMI

Denine - The Fair sounds like a lot of fun. Glad Jazzy is doing better.

Susan - So happy to hear you enjoyed your time in Florida, welcome back!

Barb - For some reason I thought a lot about you this weekend. How was your weekend?

Julie - Off to run quickly to FB to check out what this new addition is!

Had a good but very busy weekend. Glad to have spent all weekend with Joey and Tyler.
