You can now go on to www.disneycruise.com and log in and see how many cruises you have taken and what level you are for the Castaway Club. You can also see the perks each level gets.

Yay, I am a gold member and only have 2 more cruises to take before I am platinum. I wonder if I can convince Chris to take 2 more cruises next year?

Heidi: The cruise sight just freezes up on me. Do you know how many cruises it takes to be Gold or Platinum?

Sandy: I am sooo jealous. For the first time in a long time we are not cruising. I know we are going to WDW and it will be great, but I love the cruise too. Hope you enjoy your verandah!

Well, Kaleigh and I got flu shots last night. We went to a CVS pharmacy that has minute clinics. It was really fast and easy.

Kaleigh's tonsils are still very swollen. There are no spots so I don't think it is strep. I don't think the other bug ever went away and it is growing again. I really need Kaleigh to be on a strong antibiotic for 10 or more days to get this cleared up completely.

Supposed to be another nice day. Yeah!

I work tomorrow.

How fun, Heidi. Love that site. The way it looks, I will be 2 off from platinum after this cruise.

Denine, good sign that Kaleigh doesn't have spots on her tonsils! We get our flu shots the week we get home.

Hey Susan, just checking on you. Hugs.

Off and running. Hugs to all.

Denine - once you have completed 5 cruises, you are gold. Once you have completed 10 cruises, you are platinum.

Silver - you get to book excursions and things 90 days before sailing.
Gold - 105 days
Platinum - 120 days

Plus when you are platinum, you get to board with concierge and get a free night at Palo. Only Gold and Platinum members can go to the castaway club reception now.

Heidi: Jerry was able to look the stuff up at work and we are platinum. We have completed 10 cruises, next year is number 11.

Sandy: I usually get my flu shot at work, but not until November. I did it early to show Kaleigh it was no big deal. She has to have a booster in a month though since this is her first flu shot. At least our insurance pays 100% for vaccinations.

Kaleigh will be 1/4 of the way through 3rd grade math be next week! She is doing very well. I am proud of her. Her creative writing skills have improved a lot this year too.

Yay, Denine is Platinum!

Here it is for anyone else who can't log on:

It's been an unbelieveably busy week. Work has been back to back meetings and some times triple booked. Don't they know I can't be in more than one place at a time??:confused3

I had hockey duty this week too and had to drive Turner to practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. I also had Parent Night at Turner's school from 6:30-9:00 on Wednesday.

My dad is really starting to get some side effects from the chemo. Mostly fatigue but he also has a mouth infection, trouble sleeping, and loss of appetite. They also gave him a drug to boost his white blood cells yesterday.

On a good note, Paul's niece had her baby last night. A cute little girl. We were in Florida over the weekend for her shower and I knew she wouldn't go til October. She had way too much swelling. Sure enough, they did a stress test yesterday and another ultrasound and decided a C-section last night was best. :cutie:

I'm gonna try to do some farming this weekend:cool1:.

I would love to go on the Alaska cruise but not sure Paul will want to go on it. He prefers the warmer climates for cruising.

Glad the weekend is here now. Gonna go start it off with a glass of wine...

Sandy: I hope you have an awesome cruise!

Susan: Too bad the side affects are starting to show up. I hope the chemo helps! Jerry is like that at work most of the time. We keep saying he needs to clone himself!

Heidi: I can't wait to cruise with the new benefits! With all the repo cruises taking place in the next couple of years, we are hoping to get on one or two. We could do the Atlantic repo in April for 3K, but then you have to add on another 3K for airfare. I don't have 6K right now to spend. So, we will have to find something closer to home. Now, if they could do number of days cruised instead of number of cruises it would be even better, but at least it is a start!

Gonna get some yard work and other stuff done today. Hoping to spend the day at Cedar Point tomorrow. It is season ticket holders weekend.

Hi Julie and Barb!

:surfweb:

I've had some good coffee, a great bagel, done some farming and internet surfing, and now I guess I better start some housework.

I'll be back to the computer soon;)

Happy Saturday everyone. Wish we were all with Ted and Sandy!:goodvibes

My mom and dad are having a great time on the ship. They had a rainy start but have had some sunshine and hot weather to make up for it. They met up with our favorite pool server and are enjoying him like we did. They should be in Tortola tomorrow.

Susan - Busy week you had! I am keeping your dad in my prayers. I hope the side effects don't get worse for him.

Denine - I would love to do another PC repo cruise, but it won't be possible for us! Still hoping to get on the new ship, that is what we are saving up for.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We were suppose to go to a corn maze on Saturday, but our high was 60 degrees and it ended up raining. So we ended up taking the girls to see Aliens in the Attic.

It was a beautiful day yesterday. We went to Cedar Point for several hours and got Kaleigh on another new (for her) coaster called the Blue Streak. She like it.

Today is supposed to be beautiful as well, sunny and 80. September has been much nicer than July ever was!

Glad Sandy & Ted are having a great time!

It is amazing to me how much better Jazzy is. We don't have to take him up and down to the potty anymore and sometimes he thinks it's a good idea to run down the stairs, at least 3-4 steps before he realizes it isn't a good idea. I feel much better about leaving him for vacation now. Our pet sitter is great though, so I am leaving him in good hands and I will have her call me every day.

Off to my farms!

It is miserable here at work. The air conditioner broke and is extremely hot and now we have a waterline break which means no water, no bathrooms. They should just send us home!

They did send us home! They released us at 11:00. I was able to work out at the gym, pick up my prescription, and rollerblade around the park! A very productive day for me. Can every Monday be like this??!!

Sounds like you enjoyed being sent home. Sounds lime you took advantage of it to be outside.

I'm going with my dad to the oncologist tomorrow. I don't eben know what to expect at this appointment. I'll keep you guys posted.

Glad Sandy and Ted are having a good time. Wish we could all be there with them.

I have to move my office at work on Friday. They are consolidating people on floors and for some reason I get to move around the corner. What a hassle that will be. I don't have time to pack up. Turne has a teacher workday on Friday. He doesn't know it but he may be going to work with me to help me pack my crap.:lmao:

Hope everyone ahs a great week. Love you guys.

Hey all! Just popping in to say hi. I figured since I posted on facebook, I would post here too...... My dad is having his other leg amputated tomorrow. The surgery is at 1:30pm. I will try and post something tomorrow about what happened. I don't know how long it's gonna be, so I'm not to sure what I'm gonna do with the kids after school. I have another mom picking them up, but she can't keep them too long...... I wish tomorrow was over already.

Susan, I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers too. We did that appointment with Garry's dad. OUR news wasn't good, but I'm hoping that yours is better. Garry's dad just looked like a little kid that just had his ice cream cone taken away from him.... that look on his face will be forever burned into my mine. I wish I could help with your office move too. My daughter in law just got some bad news about her uncle too. It hasn't been a great month!

Heidi, glad to hear that your mom and dad are having a great time! Right now I WISH I was with them! We had your favorite server too on our last cruise. He kept calling me Mrs. Julie and Mr. Garry. He took our card once and like you, we never had to give it to him again and he knew what we wanted. LOVED HIM!! Ok Heidi, you have been on more cruises then me???? You started after me! lol!! But then again, we could cruise a whole lot more if I didn't have 3 kids in tow and the cost........ WOW!! Even in the low cat. cabins. Oh well, we will be the lonely gold members while everyone else goes platinum.

Well, gotta run! Be back????????

TTFN

Julie - You poor thing, you have had such a rough year. I am keeping your entire family in my prayers. I hope everything goes okay for your dad today and I hope he can be in good spirits about this awful situation. I couldn't even imagine what he is thinking about. I wish I could be there to help you with the kiddos.

That is awesome you had Ernan, he is absolutely the best. My parents had talked with him and he definitely remembers Chris and I and it has been over a year since we have seen him. Our favorite bartender is down in Sessions right now they said so hopefully they stop by and say hi to him for us as well.

I was looking at all the cruises I have taken on the Castaway Club site and I cruised 3 times in 2002 (thanks to my parents, my ex's parents, and then a cheap 3 day for $99) and then skipped 2003 and then have cruised once a year since 2004. We were going to skip 2010 but Chris has me almost convinced that we are going to go on the Castaway Cay double dip cruise for my 30th birthday. We will be down in Florida anyway for Chris's niece's graduation at that time. We will see!

Susan - I will also be thinking of you today when you go to your dad's appointment. You all will be in my prayers. Such a tough time for everyone right now.   I wish we could all meet up and give each other big hugs. Hang in there. My girls have a teacher work day on Friday too, only they get a half day.

Denine - That is great news that Jazzy is doing better before you leave for WDW, now hopefully you will be able to not worry about a thing when you are on vacation.

Barb - Miss you.

Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a good evening. Not to much new with me. Our neighbor but in a new hard drive in my computer. I now have some speed. YAY! I am working overtime everyday this week except tomorrow because Ethan has a soccer game. I have been doing overtime everyday and missed his last game so I decided I am not going to miss anymore. Kids are both doing great. I sure love the time I get to spend with them. What a blessing it is to have them in my home. I get to see all the cute stuff they do. Kara is getting so bi

Julie-I am so sorry about your Dad and Garry's Dad.:hug::hug:
Wish we could all get together for a night of wine and cheese. We sure need each other right now. Sure is a lot of heartbreaking stuff going on.
