I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, and I too mostly get Disneyland pins even though I go to WDW and not DL. I've gotten a couple WDW pins but double the DL pins. I too wonder if it's not a geographical thing . Or a far north thing!

I just keep waiting for the military rates to be announced! for a month, the wdw website has said to "check back soon" I really need the discount!
I'm a little bit of a control freak, and like to have everything planned out well in advance. (yes, that is me on the phone at 6:59am 180 days out making ALL my ADRs)
Regardless, November 10 cannot come soon enough!

I am thinking of going Nov 11-19...but now I have read that week has been blacked out before for free dining? Does anyone know if this is true? It is the week before Thanksgiving...

I have looked at Mousesavers but it doesn't say what weeks were blacked out, unless I am missing something?

I think it is Jersey week that causes the black out in Nov. The week that it falls on changes every year. This year Jersey week is just ending when you will be arriving. So if there are any discounts, they may not start until a few days into your trip. I do not know how best to handle that... maybe those with more experience splitting reservations and using other "tricks" can help. We will be there Nov 12-19 and can't wait!! I have split our reservations between AKL and GF and I really need a discount code too!!!

Some of it is Jersey Week and I think the other part of it is because of Veteran's Day Weekend.

Count me in as another person doing all kinds of tricks for a pin code and getting nothing.

I got the go ahead from DH to book if I can do it cheap(we are going in Aug). I found airfare for around $1000 r/t for the 4 of us. Wish it was cheaper but the week we can only go is during "Jersey Week" since our kids have 2 days off and will only miss 3 days of school. Looking to just get away for 5 days, Nov. 7-11 at POFQ(we are DVC members but are all out of points!) Ever since our visit of the resort in Aug I have been dying to stay at POFQ especially after the rehab they just did! But I need a discount!!!

I keep reading that they blackout Jersey week but what about Thanksgiving week? We are scheduled now early Nov. but may have to move it back to Nov. 24-Dec. 3 and I'm wondering if they every offer discounts for that time period. Does anyone know?

I got this in the mail this weekend, but it doesn't do too much for me But it is for most of November, so maybe they will offer more later too....I hope since we are going 11/29-12/4. That is a great question, and I hope someone answers it! It would be great if I could actually use this PIN for my whole trip!! I read someone else saying they had a similar PIN for December, so maybe I can?? I am going to try to find out today. That would be fantastic!

No, it doesn't work like free dining.

Got a pin code in the mail today for November 12-19!!!! I applied it to my reservations no problem!! I used the "tricks" of multiple emails and saved vacation plans. 30% off of my rooms makes all the difference. ( I have 2 rooms each night for our large party) Keep hoping everyone!! I will send some pixie dust your way

I'm still waiting on a pin for our TG week WL trip. We are AP holders so I will prob have to wait for that offer like I had to for this July. We made all our dinner res today. Got everything we want so right now all I got left is the get that rack rate at the WL down some!

I'm not hoping for AP rates till at least sept from how July went for this year.

I'm thinking of planning a trip from Nov 18-22. It would be for me and 3 preteens (ages 11, 12, 12).

I'm waiting for the FD to come out. We've done the DDP for our last 4 trips and LOVED it. I'm not sure if I should book a value and then upgrade to the DDP, or just book a moderate.

For those who are waiting for FD to be announced, have you already booked? Or are you waiting for the deal?

So, not only do I need to have FD in order to do this trip, but I need SWA to come down on their prices. It always seems to work out.

In the same boat...booked our AP package at WL CL for TG week too and hoping for a good AP rate. When I spoke with the CM at reservations he was telling me that an AP rate is almost guaranteed. We'll see...I need my amount to come down too!! WL IPO made all of our reservations on Sunday and we got what we asked for. I booke SW yesterday, rates were ok - $241 RT BWI-MCO. One flight is nonstop and the other is a 1-stop. Noticed that SW had more 1-stop flights than in the past and the pricing was reverse (cheaper for 1-stops).

We booked our SWA flights yesterday...rates are very high, but they have been for the last few months. I don't see them going down significantly unless fuel prices go down...and we were able to get such perfect flights at not all that terrible prices that I just booked it. However, I've never spent this much for a round trip ticket to Florida - but we had enough SWA flight credits to not pay the full load.

We are going with or without FD - it's really the difference between staying at a value and a mod for us...while I'd prefer the mod, the lack for FD won't stop us from going to the value. It's just motivation to get out of the room and go to the parks!

We're going at similar times. My dad is taking our entire family for a reunion (14 of us total). I just booked our airfar through Air Tran and it was ungodly expensive!! I know we're leaving the weekend after Thanksgiving, but YIKES! If were paying ourselves, I think we'd just drive the 26 hours there!!
