The last few days have been ok. My fridge is getting very bare! We are on our last half gallon of milk. We do have half a gallon of soy milk though, so hopefully it will last until we leave on Tuesday. My family is getting tired of canned and frozen veggies though. I think I may have to make one last grocery run for a few apples, bananas, and baby carrots tomorrow. But we're almost there! And I've saved so much cash-o-la this month! Thank you guys for keeping me motivated! :worship:

Total No Buy Days--- 15 Despite a rough start, DH's b-day and vacation I made the goal I set for myself. I am happy about that. I was going to set a lower goal this month because of those things but figured it would give me something to stive for (though I didn't expect to reach it.) Yesterday and today were $0 days because of that goal. Today was DD10's teacher's b-day. She really likes her and wanted to buy her a gift. Instead we decorated a flower pot we had and an old glass decanter we had and planted flowers we had gotten free for Earth Day in the pot and she picked a half dozen tulips from our garden and put them in the vase. She had fun decorating them and they were really pretty and it cost us nothing. Tonight we have a Girl Scout sleepover and we are all need to bring a snack to share. With items in my pantry I made Puppy Chow and Smores in a Cup so I was able to make it a $0 day today too. I can't believe I made my goal this month. Sorry to go on, I am just really happy about it!

Total Spent- $1715.51

4/28/10: $3.17 shake (Hardee's) and $2.65 gardening tool (DGMarketplace)

We spent some $ today, but it's been a pretty good month overall. Not sure about May yet... may just track my no-buy days or take a break. Spent just over $700 for the month (not including gas for the car); found about $4.50. I think that's OK for a family of four.

Gas: $272

"Extras": $42.12, $32.70, $2.10, $49.73 x 2, $15, $22.34, $38.49, $59.41, $118.26, $114.63, $26.99, $119.96, $7.67, $13.61, $7.79, $13.90, $302.40, $9.00, $4.40, $16.04, $17.47, $30.00, $16.14, $1.59, $9.81, $15.95, $4.61

Total for "Extras": $1161.84

**I am ashamed to say that most of it was put on the CC. :sad2: We bought a new exercise bike, I got some new clothes, we bought gifts for some people, I got some new scrapbooking materials. It was a bad month. As soon as we get the $$ from our taxes $302.40 will be paid off for the exercise bike. That leaves $859.44 some of which was paid in cash for. Next month I will mark CC next to the amounts I put on the CC which better be $0.**

Medical: $30.00, $25.00, $25.00, $9.96, $6.12

Total for Medical: $96.08

**This was all paid for in cash except for $9.96.**

$0 Days= 12 (4/1, 4/2, 4/5, 4/7, 4/8, 4/12, 4/13, 4/18, 4/19, 4/20, 4/24, 4/27)

This really allowed me to track my spending and be held accountable for all of our purchases! I hate CC, I never used to use them until we got married and I don't know what happened. I need to take them out of my purse and tell DH to take his out of his wallet.

Now to think about next months goals...
