I tried getting 7DMT at midnight on my 60 day mark and the only times available were 6PM or later. I didn't have that issue when I went this past spring. I'm going the end of September this time so it really seems like there should be availability. I was wondering if they are reducing the numbers as well.
My working theory is that by bcit is off peak season the rides are not running at full capacity ... This along with reduced park hours due to parties makes FPP more scarce.

Anyone else notice the Little Mermaid for the Hollywood Studios' sliders? Seems like an odd choice if it's about to close for good...

Well - you are assuming that Consumer Products KNEW that VotLM was closing back 6 months ago when they probably designed the MB for production. Since there's a good chance they knew nothing about it - and it's still only a rumor, not official - I think it's understandable that this doesn't prove that the rumor isn't true.

I'm sure Disney did the math. My guess is that they make more of a profit from the many people who end up spending the $20 outright, compared to the larger number of people who would just pay $7 for the upgrade. If you do the math, and assume that the premium ones cost the same amount to make as the regular ones, you then find out that Disney would have to sell approximately (20 - Disney MB Cost) / 7 times as many upgrades as they would outright purchases as they do now. For example, if MBs cost Disney $6 to make, then Disney would have to sell twice as many upgrades at $7 than they would extra magic bands at $20. If they cost $3 to make, then it's about 2.5 times as many.

Are you more than twice as likely to spend $7 to upgrade to a premium band versus spending $20 to have a regular one and a premium one? For our family, we're already likely to all have the premium bands, so Disney would just be losing money on us if they offered us to upgrade for $7 instead.

True, however, speaking only for myself, we're not going to pay $20 for a premium band when we're already receiving a standard one. We would likely pay- at least for the kids, if there was one they wanted - the $7 (or maybe even up to $10) to upgrade.

I don't recall it being called a temporary theater, wasn't the term "flex theater?" I got the impression it was flexible meaning use for non-permanent shows.

Those are some really detailed pictures. I don't think we've seen such a big portion of the facade before. I'm really intrigued by what kind of effect they'll use for the floating islands.
Based on the photos it looks like they'll be "held up" by the large vines

Yeah, that's what it looks like. There must be some sort of illusion behind it though. It would look kind of silly to have a huge vine holding up an island. I guess there isn't much you can do to build floating mountains and make it seem realistic. Some sort of special landscaping and forced perspective should do the trick.
