Disney April 2025 - Cheer comp

Hello All,

Been a while since I posted here or visited Disney, lots has changed.
My step-daughter has a cheer comp coming up at ESPN in April. She will be staying with her team at a hotel off site. I have never been to a cheer comp in Orlando, neither has she. I was considering going to ASM with my son during this time and go see her comp on my own. It seem to be a lot more affordable than doing the the hotel package offered. Beside if anything like her other competitions, I wouldn’t even get to spend time with her.

My questions are :
- is there Disney buses between ASM and ESPN?
- Where do you purchase the ticket for the comp?
- Are park reservation needed?

Is there anything else I need to know?

Her cheer team should have details about onsite (WDW) packages. Typically that is the only way to get transportation from WDW. If you opt for a DIY plan offsite, again ask the cheer coach about tickets to the competition — you may be able to buy directly from the ESPN website.

ETA: no park reservation needed for ESPN. If you plan to visit the theme parks that will depend on what WDW ticket you’ll have.
