You know me just FOMO over week 49. My FW is at VDH. It's a week in February I remember that much. Purchased with no solid intention of using it.

I would be willing to bet that week 49 is the most-sold FW by a decent margin. With week 50 a distant second. Then 48. Then I'm not sure after that...

IIRC Week#43 is far & away ahead at CFW specifically. Elsewhere, #49 may be popular but so is #39 (end September + start October at September points level, depending on the resort and when you got it).

I'd be interested to see data on that. I'm skeptical that week 39 is more popular than 48 or 50. I have no idea about CFW, but otherwise early December remains the most popular time of year for DVC, and anecdotally, people I know are more willing to take their kids out of school in December than they are in the first few weeks after school typically starts up again in the fall. I realize that DVC likely skews older than the average park-goer, but I suspect a significant number of owners still have kids.

#39 has become fashionable here on DIS because the calendar it is based on is as favorable as possible. The base calendar has almost all of 39 in September, but in many years several of the days are higher-point October. I don't think it is driven as much by "I want to be in Disney World in late September" so much as "I get to work the system this way."

I’m only aware of a cumulative tracking for CFW. Someone would have to throw something together for the other resorts:

Through November direct sales there’s 24 CFW FW sales, incl 9x Week43, and 8x total between Weeks48-52.

For the other resorts articles like this will mention what the FW was (like a Week50 Resort View Studio sold for Riviera) but we’d have to go back through each monthly report I guess to tally it up.

Disney has Club 33. Let's start our own Club FW49.

My other FW is 41, and I may be the only one who has that week AFAIK. I may not be working the system like those who have found FW39 with its point advantages, but 41 is around my b-day, Columbus Day holiday, Food&Wine, and though it is a couple of weeks before Halloween, it is a prime time for celebrating the Halloween season with a MNSSHP.

I also purchased a week 49 at Poly immediately after @juliebee after seeing her buy one just so I can sing Sweet Caroline with her . Who is going to join the cool kid club next? I now have a week 49 Poly resort tower studio and a week 50 RIV resort studio.

I'm just here to interrupt everyone's walk at the 11 month mark and then I'll drop the reservation at like 9 months so the good, honest DVC member can have a chance. I feel like the robinhood of reservations

Waiting for my guide to get back to me about FW at Riviera! It must be his day off because I've emailed and called and I've heard nothing! Does anyone have a current rate sheet for FW there? I currently have an April use year and thinking either getting week 18, 19 or joining you all with week 49! I always go early May ....but the last few years I have also had a trip in early December. I know banking wise, week 49 is just outside the window for April use year...but it's close enough for me. I love Christmas, but also early May is very competitive to get!

Also, I want to get it to a point number so that I can get magical beginnings for the 2025 points! Thinking a Standard View Deluxe studio (at x number of points - I think all of those weeks are probably less than 150 points) + 50 point contract to get me there. Any help on this would be great!
