newbe planning july 03 trip interested in renting points

we are going to beach club resort july 13-19 just found out about renting points wondered if we would do better with renting points if they can be found or going with package. package cost with tickets about 3grand would love to save money if possible any tips or help ? thanks jngff@msn.com
