New package info released!

HAAAAA confusion!!!!! :confused3 :earseek:

Can I use this code for the hopper & water parks if I booked through AAA & got their discount as well? I have been talking with my TA about this & she hasn't mentioned that I can't but we were both expecting it to come out on the 3rd of Nov. & not today so maybe she hasn't done any research on it?!?

I went to the Disney Visa Site a few hours ago and couldn't even find this offer on there anywhere. Has anyone seen it on there?

I am just curious to see the actual offer.

I have a Disney VISA...just checked the site and there is nothing about this code there. I'm planning to call tomorrow as I already booked for Jan 31-Feb 6 with park hopper and dining plan.

My AAA agent checked and said it would cost me $120 more to use the code. Go figure.

Yep... how depressing... AAA comes out ahead by like $105....would have been nice to have PI etc but not worth the hundred dollar difference...

My AAA agent told me the new code would cost me $83 more than my current AAA discount. BUT when I called disney myself and had the code applied I was quoted $40 less than my current AAA discount.

Maybe we have the same TA! If mine doesn't get this straightened out today, I am going to cancel with AAA & book myself.

I have a "Room-Only" booked at AKL for Feb 10-Feb 12 and called to ask what the cost would be to do the MYW 1 base ticket + dinning package and was told that the dates I have are SOLD OUT!!! :scared1:

The CM I called said that the only way to upgrade to a MYW package is to cancel and re-book and that if I did this I would lose my current booking and wouldn't be able to re-book with the tickets and dinning :confused3

Now, I'm wondering if the AKL is going to be super busy while I'm there?

Also, Is there a way of applying the new codes to online bookings?

It appeared that the room/package was available online.

Just subscribing to the thread. I was disappointed to see another diser report that the code cannot be used for CR Tower MK view which is what we have booked. I wonder if the savings is the same as the email pin code that came out a few weeks ago? We booked using that and are saving close to $400 on 6nights, with park hopper plus and dining for 2 adults. I know that is definitely more than just saving the upgrade in tickets.

Thanks for the code! I just saved $200 over my AAA package price (that was on two rooms in the CR) -- also, I did not have pluses before and now I do.

Hoping AAA comes out with something similiar which will take my AAA price down more though.

Those discounts scheduled for tomorrow were released this morning. Here is what I had originally:
2 Adults, 5 nights Allstar Music, 2/15 to 2/20 with MYW dining, 4 Day MYW base tickets, 1 free 5x7 photo pass, 1 dinner certificate for Planet Hollywood and some type of gift from there. $1,220.36 w/tax

Using the new code YRD:

2 Adults, 5 nights Allstar Music, 2/15 to 2/20 with MYW dining, 4 Day Hopper with Water Park and fun and more option tickets. $1142.16 w/tax a savings of $78.20

My TA, Deb from Magic For Less was able to modify my reservation so we will still get the photo, meal certificate for Planet Hollywood and the free gift from their too.

Heck we may even stop into DisneyQuest for a little bit since we have that option now.

They also have a discount code YRE which is for a MYW package without the dining. Good luck and happy hunting.

I'm liking Deb and Magic For Less more and more even though I can't give up total control and had to call this morning to get the discount too!

I'm off to cancel the reservation that I made this morning.

I was able to make a reservation for the same day and same place that I already had. Just call and make the reservation, if you get a better rate that you want to keep you can then call back later or cancel the original reservation. Make sure you have a new reservation with the confirmation prior to cancelling anything.

Is everyone having to cancel existing reservations & re-book this morning to get the discount? I'm on the phone now holding because the cm is telling me these dates (1/31-2/6) are not in the discount. WHAT? She's rechecking...the computer is not allowing her to apply the code...

I just tried and was told that there is a glitch with the code and it is down right now. They can't apply the code to anyone and to call back a bit later.

Amazing isn't it? The biggest entertainment industry in the world, and they have problems like that so often.

Here is what I was told:
Because I booked a "preferred" room I cannot have the discount applied...I would have to change to a "standard" room (which I don't want to do because I have to trek twin 2 y/o boys to and from the buses in the mornings and after naps). IF I switch to the standard room I would save $353.20. Anyone else book with the discount AND a preferred room? I'm wondering if I should try calling tomorrow & see if I get a different answer...

To the last few posters: Why wait to call back?? CALL BACK NOW!

If I have learned NOTHING else on the DIS--I know that what you are told by one CM can be completely different when you talk to another one. I would NEVER believe the answer I get from ONE CALL. Now if I call several times and get the same answer at least 3 times then I would believe what I am being told.

There are thousands of stories on these boards of people being told something only to call back and have a different CM be able to help them.

CALL BACK NOW! And keep calling until you get what you want, or are completely convinced that no one can do what you want! By waiting you only run the risk that things truly will be sold out!

I just called and got the park hopper and water parks added on PLUS no expiration on a 7 day ticket with the YRD code. No change in price, but i had not seen anyone else get offered the no expiration yet.........

We are AKL 1/11 to 1/17 2006

Agreed.

Just wanted to share what I found out when I called last night.

I was able to book the new package for a 3 night stay in Jan. at POR that will save us a little over $100 compared to our previous AAA room-only rate plus AAA-discounted 4 day hoppers (2 A, 3 c) with no plus options. Plus the 3 plus options will be thrown in. Compared to the AAA room-only rate plus AAA premium tix the savings would be over $300.

I was told several times by the Disney agent that this deal requires a Disney Visa -- not to book the package, and not even to pay for the package -- but that I had to be Disney Visa cardholder by our arrival date our we'd be bumped to rack rates. I will be interested to see what others are able to nail down about that so I can decide whether I really need to apply for a card.

I just booked with the YRD (the one with the meal plan) code for 6 nights in January at Pop Century for 2 adults, 1 jr, and 1 baby (free). The total came out to $1549. Not bad at all in my opinion.

This will be our first trip back since December 02. Typically we stay off-site in a rental house but the package deal with dining and tickets just can't be beat. This will also be our first time using disney transportation. All kinds firsts on this trip, can't wait to go back!

This is really interesting since there is so much conflicting information about it. I would love to know what the "real" story is? Expecially since when I looked on the Disney Visa site yesterday I saw nothing about this offer!

Mary W., I know you are probably lurking here! :wave2: Can you shed any more light on this conflict about the Disney Visa connection????
