New package info released!

Wow, stinkybell2, congrats on getting the no expiration option. Did you ask for it, or did the cm simply tell you that you can have it?

I am getting a cheaper rate by sticking with my orig ressie (CAA room only discount plus discounted tickets from ticketmania) but if I could get the no expire that would be a different story!!!!!!

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I was told several times by the Disney agent that this deal requires a Disney Visa -- not to book the package, and not even to pay for the package -- but that I had to be Disney Visa cardholder by our arrival date our we'd be bumped to rack rates. I will be interested to see what others are able to nail down about that so I can decide whether I really need to apply for a card.

I had a previously booked reservation and applied the code to it yesterday and the CM did not mention anything about having to be a Disney Visa cardholder. At first he did tell me that this was for Disney Visa holders and I told him I didn't have one; he then asked me to hold and 30 seconds later came back to tell me that he was told to apply the code to anyone who asks for it. Hope it helps.

I just had a meeting with our Disney Rep and I was told that we will not be booking these deals until tomorrow. I dont see why people put the rates out early! Then, when my clients call me to try to apply it or I try to apply it on my own, it is sold out. I wish people would keep it under wraps until the official dates. That is the fair thing to do...

Here is what I was told:
Because I booked a "preferred" room I cannot have the discount applied...I would have to change to a "standard" room (which I don't want to do because I have to trek twin 2 y/o boys to and from the buses in the mornings and after naps). IF I switch to the standard room I would save $353.20. Anyone else book with the discount AND a preferred room? I'm wondering if I should try calling tomorrow & see if I get a different answer...

2poohbears, I have a preferred room booked at CBR and was able to apply the code with no problems. I would suggest that you call back and try again.

Just subscribing to the thread. I was disappointed to see another diser report that the code cannot be used for CR Tower MK view which is what we have booked. I wonder if the savings is the same as the email pin code that came out a few weeks ago? We booked using that and are saving close to $400 on 6nights, with park hopper plus and dining for 2 adults. I know that is definitely more than just saving the upgrade in tickets.

I just got off the phone with a CM who gave me a quote on an MK view tower room. I have one booked currently with a AAA rm. only discount.

***Didn't trust the first CM I talked to so I hung up and called back. I was quoted the same price for a tower room - not MK view. This CM told me that MK view rooms had been available but were sold out. Didn't give me significant savings so I'm sticking with my AAA room only.

This trip plan keeps getting better and better. I managed to get a choice of dates/times for CRT. Thats the first time thats ever happened to me!

I called today and asked for a quote and gave my them my PIN code that I recieved in my email as well... I thought the savings would be more, total cost came to $1539.82 Feb 12-17 with dinning/hopper and plus at POR. I wonder if I was just given this package deal or if the package deal is the same as the code.. does anyone know? :confused3 :confused3

This is really interesting since there is so much conflicting information about it. I would love to know what the "real" story is? Expecially since when I looked on the Disney Visa site yesterday I saw nothing about this offer!

Mary W., I know you are probably lurking here! :wave2: Can you shed any more light on this conflict about the Disney Visa connection????

What we've been told is that this is a co-promotion with Disney's Visa, to try and get people to SIGN UP for the Disney's Visa card. You do NOT have to have a Disney's Visa card to qualify for the discounted package. You may get a mailing from Disney's Visa with a sign-up offer. That's it.

If the reservations agent says different, end the call and call back. Most of the agents seem to understand what this is all about.

There are two different set of codes for the same deal. One was targeted as the Disney Visa promotion, even though you do not need a Disney Visa card to actually book it, you will be sent information on applying for a Disney Visa, and was bookable as of November 1st. The other is the regular set of codes that can't be booked until tomorrow, Nov 3rd. As far as we know the prices will be exactly the same.

I wish people would keep it under wraps until the official dates. That is the fair thing to do
The codes for tomorrow have not been posted anywhere and not bookable in Disney's reservation system yet. Nothing has been announced that wasn't available to book

Well thank you for straightening me out. The Disney rep had no idea (neither did I though) about a visa promo. OK...I take back what I said! Sorry...

Help, help, help!!!

Just need a plain and simple answer:

Does the YRE code (no dining) include a room discount or not?

I already have 10% AAA room only discount for BC standard, peak season. I also already have one water park visit left on old park hoppers that we planned to use so I wouldn't have been buying that feature anyway. I would be adding hopping to my base ticket though so I guess that would be a small savings.

Thanks for your help! :confused3

Yes it does include a small room discount. Most of the ones that I have priced came to a little less then aaa room only with park hoppers added on plus you are getting the "plus" features for free.

I booked with YRE and saved $200 over my AAA reservation. Then I called AAA and they called disney and got me the same price as YRE, but with AAA benefits like the AAA Diamond Card. Then they said "Oh, Disney says that for $2.14 a person you can get 6 day hoppers instead of 4 day hoppers" Seeing that we will actually be there for 6 days (arriving at 10 am and going home at 8 pm) that gives us the ability to go to the parks on the day we get there and the day we go home. Pretty good stuff. I am not sure how this works this way -- but I wanted to give you all a heads up on it so that you might be able to take advantage of that too.

Hmmmm, by my calculations this would be less than a $95 dollar savings as I didn't plan to buy the "plus" features anyway. Not sure it is worth the hassle, maybe I'll wait and see if anything else comes out.

Just spoke with my TA. She said "I am unable to price it using this code. AAA codes come out tomorrow." So once again I guess I'll see what happens. I'll let everyone know what happens once I hear from her tomorrow morning. I am hopping to get at least a little bit of a discount.

Kris & Steve - Bon Jovi tour starts tonight.

Going to see them 3 weeks from Saturday!

This code only hurts me. I would need to change my room in WL in order to be eligible and at that point it would be $200 more than what I was originally spending. My TA assured me that she had a NEW CODE that will go into effect tommorow. She's been on and off with her district manager for days and he said rest assured that there will be something else. The only way that there wouldn't be (she already has the new code) is if people jump all over this water park deal and disney changes their mind. I hope this will give some of you peace of mind. This new code is supposed to be much much better than what they offer now.

Do you mean a AAA pkg. code or just a different code in general?

Not that I'm denying what your TA said, but it seems VERY odd to me that Disney would release 1 code today, have people book that, then release a better code tomorrow. That would be a public relations nightmare.
