New package info released!

I also just went to price this on the WDW site and it isnt in effect there yet. Why do they do this to us??
It takes them time to get it on the different computer sites. This always happens - at least for the last 5 years.

1) MouseSavers and the other 'net boards get the word
2) it spreads around the internet
3) people call and book or get pricing, CM's at CRO have no clue "Oh yeah, look at that, it just popped up on my computer!"
4) it will appear on disneyworld.com etc
5) it will reach the Sunday paper.

They don't do this to us - WE do this to us.

Before the internet, we didn't know about these things until it was in the paper or TV.

I just called and got prices with the new codes. I priced pop century standard view for 7 nights (value season) with 2 adult and 1 child 10 day park hopper passes no expiration. The tickets include park hopping and 5 water plus features. I also have a 1 year old but no additional cost for her. I was given a price of $1456.15 with no trip insurance. The same plan with dining was $2064.94. Travel insurance would be $60 per adult but I didn't add that in. I was told that it is a disney visa promotion for all visa holders. I was planning on $492 for room with AAA plus $970 for the 3 10 day park hopper no expiration (no plus features) so it would have been $1462 and dining plan I thought would add on about $650 but with room at full price. I haven't decided yet but leaning towards package to get dining plan.

I saved $228.08 at AKl savana view for six nights. Not great but I will take it. My CM "Michael" was great. He said it is a Visa promotion but you don't have to pay with a Visa. BUT to do have to tell them you want the premium tickets which includes hoppers and waterparks and DQ etc, if they don't have the premium tickests listed the code will not work.

Maybe this is just the beginning and 11/3 will bring us more discounts. ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Right but I am a travel agent and I was informed it was being released on Nov. 3. We just did our Specials board and I didnt put it up because it wasnt supposed to be released yet. Geesh!! Live and learn I guess!

I just called to see if I could save with the new code (I booked with the PIN that came out last month) and she said that it priced out EXACTLY the same with the new code as with my PIN rate.

She also said this is a Disney Visa code (and the offer is on the DV site) but you do not have to use your Visa.

Waiting for Thursday to see if more comes out--I need a few days of room discount!

Hi everyone. Lisa from Small World Vacation confirms this discount is the one that was due out (according to rumors) on 11/3. We have Pop Century, 7 day, 2 adults, 1 jr, and 1 child, with preferred room, dining package with park hopper for $2277 before the discount and $2200 after. This includes the ability to go to Disney Quest which we did not have before and possibily includes insurance for our trip. (she's checking on this for me and is going to call me back....We have a family member with cancer so we could have to cancel at the last minute so we MUST have insurance). Thats a good deal for us---I haven't worked the numbers yet, but I'm pleased with it. Not as great as free dining would have been but...we were going either way and I was going to pay for insurance too which was not in the package so I feel like we've done okay with it. I know everyone likes to save maximum money; I'm trying not to look a gift horse in the mouth and complain.

I just had code YRD applied to my MYW package, it saved us $275.60. My rate changed from $2247.64 to $1972.04
The CM had no clue, so a manager ended up doing it, but for AKL, that's a great rate.......... so, I'm very happy!!!

Ok everyone. I just got off the phone with Disney. I had an existing reservation already so after checking my ADRs and chatting with the cast member, I asked him about the code. He asked me what the code was about and looked it up. The code came up as a Disney Visa cardholders code. He asked me if I had a Disney Visa and I answered NO because I don't have one and sounded sad about it. He told me that you needed to have a Disney Visa in order to book it. He then said "you must have found this code on a non-disney website" to which I replied that I did. He then asked me to hold on and it wasn't more than 30 seconds when he came back and said that he was told to apply the code to anyone who called and ASKED for the code. We have booked a 6 nights/7 days stay with Magic Your Way Dining for TWO and staying at the CBR in a preferred room. Our previous total was of $1,984.24 but our NEW total is of $1,777.90 for a saving of $206.34. Not too bad, my fiance was happy with it so I'll take it. It does give us free Plus Options and free Hoppers. It's nothing compared to free dinning but it's something; I won't complain. I know alot of people are saying the Plus Options don't matter because it will be too cold, but also remember that it includeds PI, Disney Quest and Disney's Wide World of Sports. Hope this helps.

I wonder if it was supposed to be released to Disney VISA card holders today and then to the public on Nov 3rd??

Just a correction (although I already fixed it on my original post). Our previous total was $1,984.24 and our new total is $1,777.90 for a total saving of $206.34. Sorry for any misunderstandings (when I typed $1,577 I was looking at our current balance after we put in our "deposit")

Hi--just talked to Lisa again and for us, with the insurance, the Disney Quest, etc. we ended up saving about $400. So, now I've asked her to give me a quote with non-expiring and with 10 day tickets and non-expiring. Just gotta find a way to spend my money at disney, lol. :earsgirl:

I've been lurking for a while now but this is my first actual post. Thanks to your great thread and my obsessive compulsive checking of mousesavers.com, I just saved $226.00.
Got off the phone with Disney and a lovely CM who happily used the code to get me $$$ off my Jan 1 - 6 ressie at POR for 2 adults + 1 child +1 Jr.

Includes MYW tix for 6 days hoppers/plus. Maybe too cold for waterparks but a visit to Disney Quest might be in order.

Thanks again for the great tips and ideas. :cheer2: :cheer2:
Hope you all get savings too!

:disrocks:

61 days and counting till next ::MickeyMo sighting.
Last trip August 2005 (free dining) Pop Century

Currrent ressie:
Dec 31 rack rate POP
Jan 1 - 8 : 7 nights room only with CAA discount $70 per night with tax
7 day base tix from ticketmania $694
CAA special membership (not bought yet) 40 US
TOTAL = $1229

I called CRO and asked for a new quote using YRE
Dec 31 rack rate POP
Jan 1 - 8 : MYW package for 2 A, 2 C incl. hopping and water park
TOTAL = $1292.24

I am not interested in hopping or water parks/DQ/PI this trip and the only value I can see is to upgrade this during trip to a 10 non expire ticket to use water parks and 3 extra days tickets on another trip. Still, we are not planning on going back to WDW for awhile after this trip.

So should I simply stick with what I have currently (room only with CAA discount ) and buy tix from ticketmania?? Or is ther some reason why I should consider going with the YRE deal????

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Suzy V

Do you mind if I ask for details? Do you have dining? What are your dates? How many traveling? Tix for how many days?

I ask because I asked for a quote for AKL for 2/1-2/7, 2A 1C, 6 day tix, and dining & my quote was $2248.81 for a standard.

Can you not use the code with an AAA package? And if not why not?

Thanks

No, because the AAA package is already a discounted package. Disney will not stack discounts. It's one or the other. :)

D4est, we have the MYW plus dining for 5 nights, standard, with the hoppers. Our dates are for Jan. 29th thru Feb. 3rd. Actually, if we added a day, to make it 6 days like you, we'd pay the exact same price you were quoted. So, the price you were quoted is with the discount. Hope this helps.

Well that explains the increase. My AAA agent did check to see what it would cost me with the code and I would have to pay $120.00 more for 5 people at POR for eight nights. We already have the park hopper option. Good luck to everyone. Hope it helps somebody.
