New package info released!

Really? Adding one more night would cost $276.77 more? Hmmm.

Currrent ressie:
Dec 31 rack rate POP
Jan 1 - 8 : 7 nights room only with CAA discount $70 per night with tax
7 day base tix from ticketmania $694
CAA special membership (not bought yet) 40 US
TOTAL = $1229

I called CRO and asked for a new quote using YRE
Dec 31 rack rate POP
Jan 1 - 8 : MYW package for 2 A, 2 C incl. hopping and water park
TOTAL = $1292.24

I am not interested in hopping or water parks/DQ/PI this trip and the only value I can see is to upgrade this during trip to a 10 non expire ticket to use water parks and 3 extra days tickets on another trip. Still, we are not planning on going back to WDW for awhile after this trip.

So should I simply stick with what I have currently (room only with CAA discount ) and buy tix from ticketmania?? Or is ther some reason why I should consider going with the YRE deal????

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

just a thought...
are you paying holiday rates for the 12/31 check-in?
have you considered splitting the ressie and doing the package for value season rates? (12/31-1/1 r/o, 1/1-1/8 YRE pkg)??? you may be able to add dining and still save a bundle.

Plans for CBR (value season) x 7 days in January w/ king bed, MYW Pkg w/ Dining & 10 day park hoppers.

Website quote $ 2,238.20
AAA quote $ 1,993.00
New Disney quote w/ code YRD $ 2,022.00 (phone call to CM)

AAA still comes out ahead. In Sept or Oct. when last set of codes released, AAA had a special code that AAA could apply which lowered AAA packages. Sure hope this type of code is released again.

My AAA TA from MidAtlantic AAA on line services was already on lookout for code on Thurs. She been very knowledgable & helpful so far. Just emailed her to let her know of this info but since it was after 6PM when I saw it, I don't expect to hear from her until tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. If further code applied, I may consider applying the savings to a No Expiration.

Does everyone who is getting this discount code have the Disney Visa?

I just tried to get it applied to my package but was told it is only for Disney Visa holders even though I saw at least one person on here who was able to apply it anyway.

If it is only intended for Visa holders, I won't try again. But if some CMs are being told to book it for anyone who asks, then maybe I would.

I don't want to get it if I'm not entitled to it but I wonder if they are letting people get it because it's going to be released for everyone eventually.

The guy I spoke with said to keep a lookout and maybe a similiar offer would be made available in the future that didn't require having the visa.

CM who gave me quote did not even mention Visa.

I went to the Disney Visa Site a few hours ago and couldn't even find this offer on there anywhere. Has anyone seen it on there?

I am just curious to see the actual offer.

d4est -- Yes, it's exactly what you were quoted. In fact, we are considering adding another night!!! We'll see.

Padme -- I had the code applied earlier today, and NO-ONE even asked or mentioned that it was for Disney Visa holders. I have seen that on here too, but I don't have one, and she changed my resv. without any problem at all. I may be wrong, but I don't think it says that on mousesavers either??? I don't know, I think maybe some CM's just don't know either way. If I were you, I'd call back and ask for that code to be applied. Good Luck

JerseyJ and Wendypooh- thanks for the info. Maybe I'll try to call back a little later. I'll post if I have success.

Thanks, wendypooh. You've got me considering AKL. Right now we are booked at CSR. Not sure though. The price difference would be $353.04.

FYI, the CM I spoke to said it was a Disney Visa promo, but you don't have to pay with a visa.

I just got an email from DU saying my room type (MK View Tower Room @ The Contemporary) isn't eligible for the new code/discount :(

So, now I have to decide if it's worth changing room types.

Why would anyone use this if the AAA discount is better? :confused3

I just went to my online Disney Visa account to check to see if by any chance they had anything on there about this code (because I'm about to call and upgrade to the code, let you guys know more about that later) but when I went to view my credit card information nothing was there... I thought that was odd... anyone else have this problem?

Not everyone wants or needs AAA. But, for me atleast, the new code was cheaper that AAA, but only by $40.

I was doing AAA room only 'cause I am using a different TA. I didn't want to use a TA from AAA. So I'm probably going to use this new discount! Of course I'll lose my AAA room only rate, but we'll see how the pricing comes out!

Ok.. I just called and upgrade my room only ressie to the MYW package... I'm not even sure I did it right...

Anyways, the CM just took the code and that didn't ask anything about it. I told her I wanted to add tickets and use the code... I figure in a day my reservsation will upgrade on their site and I can double check to make sure she didn't add the insurance or change my room to preferred (because I did ask for the king bed)... anyone think she might do that?

Anyways.. I went to their site and booked my whole trip with the tickets and added the park hopper and water park etc and was quoted 1104.54... but with the code it cost me 852.50

Just so you know, it's my husband and I, staying at the ASMovies Jan 28th-Feb3rd.. 5 Day Park Hopper with Water Park Fun and More option.

That's a savings of 252.04 so that's not bad at all.

From a diser:

Yes, I am paying holiday rack rate for Dec 31 (on a seperate ressie) . Then using CAA 20% room only discount as well as ticketmania for tickets. What I have now comes out to about $1229 for (Jan 1- 8).
BUT was quoted $1292 using the code?
I am not interested in the dining plan.

So am I missing something or is my CAA room only rate (plus discounted tickets from ticketmania) better then the YRE discount package???
Thank you
Suzy

really confused
I called a cm to apply the code I already have ressie for por rvrside jan21 to jan28 with an 8 day plus pack 3 adults 1 kid for $2207. she said that I already had a code ynr and that I could not use this code. So I went on disney website to make the same ressie as I already have just to compare the difference and it was $2212.
