Was it better than AAA? if so by how much?
Yes, better than my original AAA quote of $1935.71 New quote using YRD code: $1895.77

Of course, I called disney on my own because my aaa ta was out to lunch. She finally called disney & then me to tell me that she got a quote using the YRD code. Her price? $2018.67, while disney quoted me $1895.77

Why would she have a different AND higher quote??? She also told me that you have to use a disney visa. The CM I spoke with said it was a visa promotion, but you don't have to pay with a visa.

***! I want to scream. I also want to dump my AAA TA. How can I? Anyone know?

Also forgot to mention: she says to me "this is getting rediculous. I've called disney so many times..." Uh, dur...that's your job!

I booked on the disney site 2 months ago for 2 adults 2 kids with 8 nights at cbr with 7 day park with hopper & extras & dining and was paying full rack of $3114- with this new code I just saved $506 off that rate :cloud9: - I might be able to find better with caa discounts and room only with a lot more work but frankly , I am happy with that

I'm back on hold with a new CM and he said "boy you must work for Disney I have not even heard about this code, I'm going to have to ask someone its not in the system" --- so I am holding and not having much faith I will have any luck.

Well thats good to know that you get around $40 off...

I'm also curious about dumping my AAA TA...I mean if they can't apply the code, I do plan on going to PI, so it couldn't hurt to cancel the existing and rebook...and save a lil cash...I just hope AAA doesn't have a cancellation fee, im not in my 45 day window yet.

This is really only of interest to people who are already booked (and don't have old hoppers like me...bummer).

I mean, if you weren't planning to travel to Disney, would this package make you suddenly sit up and take notice? Can't imagine it's going to draw many people in. Which one would imagine is their intention.

This new code they have online is not for just anyone...only for Disney Visa...any Visa?

Heck...The limit on my Visa (by my choice!) is not enough to cover my 13 day package at AKL! :earseek:

Hmmm
:confused3 :confused3

New Pkg is a discount, but not a big one. We were originally at $1462.86 for All Star Sports, 4 nights, 2 adults, 2 kids (3-9) with Park Hoppers & Dining. The new price is $1398.48 ($64.38 less)

When priced without dining, the difference was more..($120.30) So theres absolutely no discount on the dining....

We've booked, but we're hoping that this so called package discount is not well received, so they'll have to make a better offering.....then we'll rebook...

why would mousesavers post information for the general public if it's visa card holders only? I'm still waiting till Nov 3rd. no sense in even speculating anymore.

You would be surprised at the number of people that don't do the math - this will draw in enough people to make management happy, wait until it hits the newspapers on Sunday.

John Q Public knows that right now that a family of 4 can go to Disney for about $1500....from the past years blitz of MYW promotions.

The Sunday newspaper may come out and say "get a 6 night/7-day MYW package for a family of 4 for just $1346 (normally $1642) and get the Park Hopping and Water Parks and More option FREE!"

With the right spin, John Q Public is going to call Disney and plan a trip.

Michael

Originally we had four nights booked at Contemporary garden wing room January 6-10 with park hoppers (no pluses) and MYW dining - total price $2787.86. New price for same plus pluses is $2486.36. So I saved about $300. Not bad for a four night package.

LOL, good point. Which would be why so many people get caught up in the hunt and buy ebay items that are actually more then if they'd purchased them new at the store ;)

I called to try to convert my room-only ressie that I just made 2 hours ago  to a package with the new code and the person I talked to just kept quoting the price for a regular MYW package with park hopping and water parks with no discount. She kept saying I get a Planet Hollywood voucher but that park hopping, etc.. was not free with this code.

It was very frustrating. I guess I will have to call back tonight and hope I get someone better. It is not a great discount but every little bit helps right?

Now this is what gets me mad! We got emails stating that this deal was coming on November 3. I can see why some people cant stand AAA. however, I just went to our direct link with the Disney site and it is not listed yet.

Are you a TA for AAA? If so, maybe you could explain something to me. My AAA TA had no idea about this deal. She is starting to complain about having to call disney (for me) so much. She finally called about the YRD code & quoted me more than what I got by calling disney on my own. How can this be? She also told me that you HAVE to pay with a visa.

I also just went to price this on the WDW site and it isnt in effect there yet. Why do they do this to us??
