We used our SPG points yesterday (5 days out) to purchase the CL. The cost was 1,500 a night. I asked why it wasn't the 1,000 or the 1,250 that Starwood had quoted to me as recent as 2 months ago and was told that was the new rate. Go figure!
We have never stayed at the Dolphin so have no idea on what to expect from the Club Level and their "unrenovated" rooms. Wanted a renovated room for the newness and for my wife to experience the "Heavenly Bed". We can live without it but it would have been nice.
I faxed our additional room request today so.......we'll just have to see what we get Sunday night. Worse comes to worse...we'll be on the Club Level and...at WDW!!!! (Not too bad!)

), I would have waited until check-in for the upgrade. I resisted the urge to do anything to my reservation until I got to the Dolphin and spoke to someone at the desk. I kept my newly renovated room with a balcony and view, and was correctly charged 1000 points per night for the CL access. By waiting, I was able to see if I could get a complimentary SPG gold upgrade of some sort. When that didn't happen, I used my points.

Keep the faith, and think positive thoughts. The regular rooms are not too shabby (not-yet-renovated rooms), and you should be very comfortable there. If you stay on another flloor, with CL privs...you merely call Housekeeping, and the ROBES will be sent to your room. You should also receive turn-down service, if not...just call and it will be noted.
Maybe I could earn extra points...with a stay at a Starwood property....

Hi, Kelli - Have a wonderful trip. I wish I could say I would be there the same time as you...but, not so. I have stayed at WDW during the week of Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed it. We (my immediate family - 14 strong!) stayed at he BWI and had our Thanksgiving dinner at the Flying Fish. The Christmas decorations started to pop up at the resort during the week.
