BAMA - CHOKE! :)

Being in a University, you have to know how difficult it is sometimes to root for rivals? And, yes, I had to say that.....just like your marketing rant.

Took me a couple minutes........but now I get it.....Bama choke, Donald asleep...LOL. Sorry about Bama. (I think that was Indiana too wasn't it........now I am seeing it all!) Sorry, Glenn!

Actually, I surpassed it long ago, but awhile back something happened to that counter and many of us lost posts. Some people lost 1000 or more. I have sort of been watching that total and it has been stuck for a long time! We will see if it ever hits 500 this time.

That was some story about skipping in the MK. I'd better be careful next time! :) Wouldn't want to break something.

However, the joy just comes out when one is in WDW in many ways. Last August, after we checked in at the D, we walked over to Epcot (that in itself made the excitement rise in all of us) and strolled into the Rose and Crown for lunch - no PS but no wait. Once seated, we, all 8 of us, looked at each other and with big smiles said - We're in Disney World!!!! having lunch! Life couldn't be better! :bounce:

The only thing that beats that first walk into Epcot (I can here the music now!) is an hour before when you first turn on to the park entrance/exit ramp for WDW and tuning into to the radio information!

"I'm Ready!"

LOL...Have to AGREE with your DS, THOSE ADULTS should NOT have been skipping! HeHe...:p

Kimmar...YES! I too, miss Jen. Her son was hit by a car (not too serious) and was recuperating. She had the cats...and one had to have special meds mixed in with food due to a thyroid condition. She was always stressed when planning a trip to the magic...as she LOVED this kittie! I hope all is well w/her, and miss her monty python-ish sense of (Warped) humor and wit. Although, Glenn is pretty adept at this type of fun (- heck I'm just hiding right now!). LOL!:p ;)

RobMax...Glenn, LOL...."washing the balls" asap. :p That thread is pretty funny, and should include the skipping-gash post by Mitla! :)

Mouseteacher...you ALWAYS know how to make each day BETTER! Thanks for the extra sunshine today. :sunny: I could almost FEEL the joy you all felt as you sat around the table at the R & C, enjoying the moment. My days of Disney...are a Collage of moments like these. Not one or two monumental events...just a myriad of moments. Thanks...again. ;) AFTER ALL: "Why do we have to grow up? I know more adults who have the children's approach to life. They're people who don't give a hang what the Joneses do.....They are not afraid to be delighted with simple pleasures, and they have a degree of contentment with what life has brought - sometimes it isn't much, either." Walt Disney

Sorry about the illini & Bama, Ozzie. :( It was a tough day. Just remember...when you need a reason to smile, out of the mouths of babes came: ....."you're really good for an old woman." This would have me rolling. Take it all in stride, to a Kindergartner...a FIRST-GRADER is OLD!!!:)

Robmax-

We are indeed at Michigan State. I'm of course glad when we win, but last time we were #1, couches were burning downtown! I don't know how to send a PM:confused:, but I know some people at Alabama (my sister got her masters in Nursing there) and I know Bruce (DH) has contacts there in Lung Physiology. I'm interested in what you said about your field-I have a 15 yr old son who is interested in Engineering.

My husband leaves for Italy on Wednesday-sure wish he was going to fake Europe (Epcot) instead!

Ozziewags-
your post made me laugh. My 9 yo DD seems impressed if I can walk across a room. She sure loves her PE classes, and often points out to me how much fitter she is than me because of them! I'm afraid with all the educational cuts here in MI she may not have them as often.

Mouseteacher-

After reading your posts, I sent a thank you note to the Swan re: our Feb. visit. It is true that we all make requests and probably hardly ever say thanks.

My favorite Disney thrill is when you are driving onto Disney property and see the arch that says Disney World. I could actually feel my pulse go up. However, if I got out of the car and SKIPPED through the arch, I would probably break a hip or something!

RobMax...Glenn, LOL...."washing the balls" asap

Oh my Gosh! This was a strange story! Does he mean washing the balls in a ball pit-I certainly hope so, but with little kids you can never tell:p

To Dreamflight and all-this is where my husband is going on Wednesday:

Pretty cool, huh? WELL, he probably won't even notice it-I say send the wives to Italy and let the scientists meet in Michigan!

...an AGE-OLD, timeless tradition! LOL.

Wow...your DH certainly has an interesting journey planned. Hope he has time to visit the Antiquarium. There are SO many sights to see...I would assuredly HAVE to join him on the trip. Are your bags all packed?! Surprise, Honey. I'm tagging along, for the company. :p ;)

Dear Dreamflight-

I had gone with him in the fall to Switzerland (Montreux)-the first time I had gone with him in 2 years-we just can't afford for me to tag along on all his trips. This time I really don't think both of us should be gone from the kids with the world situation what it is. It does look fabulous, doesn't it??!! I talked a lot with the booking girls and made them laugh, reminding them I will be eating mac and cheese with the kids while he is banqueting overlooking the bay! I wouldn't have gone unless all four of us could have gone-I'm that uneasy about overseas travel now, and believe me, I would go anywhere at the drop of a passport if I could swing it.

The shame is he REALLY won't enjoy this much. It is a business trip for him (paid for by them!)

I pray that soon the world will be back to a state where talking about being WORRIED about traveling will be unheard of.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Janet

You guys are tooo funny. DF, I think it is the last one....Lily Tomlin is soo talented....I loved Edith Ann.
Mitla.....I'm with you...send the wives and let them meet in Michigan. What a beautiful place. I have always wanted to see Italy. Not sure if I will ever make it, we usually end up at Disneyworld!

...a moment of silence (sniffle-sniffle) for the "dear departed" illini (oops, sorry about the spelling!) but it doesn't matter anyway, because Duke's gonna TAKE IT ALL!!!! (or Kentucky:tongue: )

It seems since our first visit to the Swan in Dec 2002 he has aquired a fetish......The Oatmeal soap that they leave in your room......and his last bar is almost gone....If any one is visiting and could aquire and additional bar or 2 my dear Zurgie would be very greatful.....If you PM or email I'd be glad to send you a few dollars for postage....

Otherwise the poor dear will have to wait until Dec 2003...and his dear skin will probably fall off unevenly without that wonderful defoliating action...
