I have it linked to the Disney experience account. It has not been used. Are we good to go straight to the gate and go in?

Or do you have to go to guest services first. Was going to do a split day and try for ROTR first without a pass. But if have to go to guest services first.
TY

If it has not otherwise been activated and it's a new pass, it's currently a voucher. We go to either Will Call at MK or to the Welcome Center at Disney Springs, depending on our schedule on arrival day. You get the physical card at that time as well. I have never actually tried to just walk in and see if it self activates.

Can you get the physical card later?
You can request one at guest services but they are heavily pushing people away from them. The digital card is all you need unless you just don’t have a device or magic band you can use. Physical cards are being phased out.

Not surprising I suppose. Thanks for the update. We let them lapse in Covid so starting fresh with an activation next month.

We just tried to go direct to the gate but had to go to guest relations and they needed to verify my DVC member card showing we could buy the passes. Took about 10-15 minutes.

How did you purchase them? Online or through a call to MS? Just curious since others have said they could go straight through. Maybe they have changed things back that verification has to happen onsite.

Thanks for sharing. We still want to try to get a physical card if we can, so we'll be heading to guest services. This is very good to know though.

My daughters went to the parks without us on Saturday which was our first day. They are adults who are not on the deed and they went straight to the gate. No verification needed.

My Family and I used our Annual Passes for the first time back around June 15th and we were able to just walk to the gate and go straight through, no verification needed. We bought out passes over the phone with Cast Member, don't know if that makes a difference.

Just walked through the Epcot gate 45 minutes ago, all 3 passes activated with just a scan. Purchased online, 2 were for family members not on the deed.

We activated on Friday just by walking through the gate and tapping our MBs. We had 4 APs purchased online: 2 adults who are on the deed and 2 kids who are not on the deed.

Really? My digital card still says "Affiliations DVC Y, annual" and the last time I had an AP was 3 or 4 years ago. I get the discounts for having the DVC blue card anyway, but it seems strange I could still get the AP discounts. Or maybe the affiliation for current APH is different?

Mine says the same and I have a current AP. Probably just another example of sloppy programming. Most of the time, they are the same, amyway.

Wondering if someone with a blue card sells some of the points and fall below the threshold, would they lose DVC Y?

When I was there in June, AP holders got increased incentives over DVC and when I showed my AP, they wanted to see either the actual AP in my MDE app (not digital wallet) showing it was active or physical card (which I do have).

So, its still a bit inconsistent in what they ask for.

It automatically does change when going from ND to Y so my guess is it will fall off.

I know when I had a membership chsnge status the white card showed up immediately in the account to replace the blue card.

A thought. When you made your park reservations for your trip did you have the APs yet?

If you made them using a different ticket then that would cause you to need to go to GR.

That happened to me. I chose my renewal voucher and not my active pass and it forced me to go to GR.
