Hello ALL!!! I have big news!!! We are going back!!! We have decided loosely on an Oct. trip for next year with BIL, SIL and Niece and Nephews. We have convinced them to stay at the Lodge!!!! Yeah! What do I need to know about traveling to the Lodge in OCT??? I am so excited!!

Well weather wise we go into our dry season, so the Ponchs may not be needed. LOL

Really Oct. is a great time for the weather as it is the month we Floridians look forward to as for the next 5 months is the reason we ive here.

Crowds will pick up towards Halloween and drop off until Thansgiving.

We need pics of the boat dock and launches. Lobby art and sitting areas. When shooting in the lobby kick the F stop up a little because of dark interior. Bus stop area.

Glad you are planning another trip. Yes the Lodge does have some connecting rooms. Not sure how many they have, but they are there.

Make sure you look into this:

Grand Gatherings!
Starting in early October Walt Disney World will offer a new service, Grand Gatherings, which will provide assistance and special offerings to groups of eight or more adult guests. Grand Gatherings will be part of the new Magical Gatherings theme at Disney World.

Especially if you are trying to make room, dinner, and even parade viewing reservations.

I posted this in a reply to Corky for one of her trip reports and thought it was usefull enough to post in the FAQ. Hope it helps someone.

The person who did your room was Diana. She is the mousekeeper that did our room and was also recommended highly by Beth in the WL Faq forum. She is one of the few that still does towel animals from what she told us. Nobody has the time or desire anymore to learn. She used to work at the CBR but was pulled from there to come work what she called the VIP floor at the lodge. (That was kinda cool to hear....we were on the VIP floor. Heheheh!) Now that I think of it....we were in a VIP room too! Hehe!

Anyone who wants Diana as their mousekeeper should ask for a room in Section 42 on your room request from what she told me.


And to add, she actually took some of Julia's toys and towel animals and arranged them in the bathroom one day. The large turtle that Julia won at AK was sitting on the toilet with the small dino she won at AK on top of the toilet. Dory (I bought this one for her!) was watching from the tub. There was a note that said, "I told you not to eat that much pizza last night!!!".

We nearly wet ourselves when we saw it.

That gave me a good idea! I just made a section of our photo gallery for towel animals and toy arrangements. Just added lots of pics from our most recent trip. Including the one with the toilet.

Not sure but that could be something for someone that is going down soon to do!!! Hint Hint!!! I know that she did the section that 7058 to 7037 was in and I saw her doing both Courtyard and Woodsview rooms so....

It does....thanks Fred. Maybe someone will get some more info on Diana over the next few weeks.

I have to make my room request in 32 days.......but who's counting I want to make the best request possible.
