I'll be posting trip reports soon, but I'll go ahead and list a few highlights and lowlights here first.
Highlights:
- We were upgraded to a wood's view room overlooking the lobby!
- We were able to stay at the lodge last night and did not have to transfer to ASMo after all. The WL was not booked as I had been told. We even got to stay in our same room.
- After returning from a walk at the beach our first night my youngest was holding my hand and he yelled, "We're at Disney World!!! Yahoo!!" It felt like we should be in a commercial.
- Philharmagic was fabulous!!!!
- I'm glad I tried Mission Space, but I probably won't do it again. I didn't get sick at all, but I didn't like the feeling either. It was still a highlight though because it was definitely thrilling. I would probably do it again if I traveled with a large group and everyone was going on it together.
- My youngest son got to be a junior bellman at the ToT while we were waiting for my dh to ride. They dressed him up just like the castmembers on the ride. He looked so cute and he got to greet people as they came off the ride.
- Seeing how much my oldest son loved Dinosaur which he now proclaims as his new favorite ride. He doesn't get excited about much. So, I love to see him when he really enjoys something because he generally does not react to things very much and it's hard to tell whether or not he's having fun.
Lowlights:
- I felt bad on the airplane last Saturday. I think I had motion sickness because as soon as we got off the plane I felt instantly better.
- I felt bad all day Sunday and we didn't get much done our first full day. This was very disappointing to me and ended up ruining our dinner plans.
- I got motion sickness at DisneyQuest. This whole place made me queasy and I will not return.
- My boys were really zapped by the heat and this slowed us down.
- Cartier Town Car did not make note of the fact that we were staying at the WL our last night even though I called them and let them know of the change in our itinerary. We ended up hailing a taxi to catch our flight today. My and dh and I were both really mad about this and will not use them again.
- Lots of crying kids (not mine) and parents who ignored the signals that their kids needed to take a break. My boys who are 6 and 9 needed breaks and we took them. I saw many very young children being dragged around and it was very noticable that they were spent. We also saw many parents who looked like they were not having fun.
I post full reports later.
