Mythos closing time

I will be at USF/IOA on May 29-31. I was hoping to do a late dinner at Mythos but noticed that the closing times for IOA are at either 6:00 or 7:00 during my stay.

Does Mythos remain open even after the park closes? If I make a reservation for 6:30 will I still be able to enjoy a leisurely dinner?

We were just at Islands of Adventure last week and can tell you that Mythos closed at around 3:30pm. In fact we had made a reservation with guest services for a 6:15 dinner and arrived at the restaurant to find it was already closed for the day. Obviously Guest Services was not at all helpful in our situation. We were very disappointed because everyone on the boards said the restaurant was excellent! My advice - go for lunch!!

Mythos closed at 3:30 pm while I was there too (4/22 - 4/26) . Maybe when the park is open later during the summer months they will extend the hours. Does IOA really close at 6 or 7 in late May? I wish they would consider extending park hours.

This is my biggest peeve regarding Universal Orlando. The parks, especially IOA, close way too early! IOA is great at night and I wish I were able to experience it more.

Until june, we will be closing at 3:30 M-F and Su, 6 on Sa. This is not our decision, but the decision of the regional managers and executive chef. All of the staff's hours have been cut, so trust me, we'd like to stay open a little later.

Hi Second Chef, We are arriving Sun. June 3 and wanted to visit on June 4, 5, or 6 . Do you think your hours will be later that 3:30 ast that point???? Would HATE to miss our dinner there. What time does lunch start ( just in case) !! thanks... M

Thanks for the information. That is soooooo sad. I guess I had better plan a late lunch if I want to eat at Mythos.

Can anyone explain why Universal would close so early the week of Memorial Day? Except for Animal Kingdom all of the Disney parks are open until 9:00. I'm so disappointed.

Mabelette-We might go to dinner hours by that time, but I don't know for sure. It really is difficult to know when we're going to be open and not. I have a girlfriend, family and friends who love eating there (via her annual pass and dinning passes), but our schedule and theirs almost never coincide. I took Rachel there for our anniversary dinner, but we had to leave right after her classes to arrive in time for the last lunch seating. I digress....

Anyhoo, the best advice I can give you and everyone else on this board is call the restaraunt directly to find out what time we are open till and/or make reservations. Guest services never knows the right clsoing tiume, thus we've had several incidents described on this post- reservations made for a lter time, but the restaraunt is already closed.

The number for mythos is 407-224-4535. Hope that helps you all.

Oh, we open up at 11:30, regardless of the clsoing time.

Thanks for the info. We plan to go to MYTHOS at least for lunch and hopefully for dinner. We are hoping you will still have a gnocchi special ! My son's favorite and we are celebrating his high school graduation! He can really put it away. Thanks, hope to see you some time. M
