*~* Muggles, Welcome to the Burrow! *~*

I've finished re-reading all the books (well, I only have about 20 pages left of HBP, but I'm saving that to read *right* before I start DH) and I came up with a few questions.

Can anyone answer any of these?

1) Why can house elves Apparate & Disapparate within Hogwarts?

2) Someone had to be with Regalus Black (or whoever was R.A.B) when he took the locket from the cave - who was it?

3) When Harry sees his family in the Mirror of Erised, he talls Ron it was because they were all dead. Does he not see Petunia or Dudley because they were so freaking mean? Or because they weren't dead yet? Or does his heart just want to see the family that he's never seen?

4) I'm wondering if Harry is the last descendant of Godric Gryffindor. The fact that his mom & dad lived in Godric's Hollow reinforces that (at least to me ;) ). Is there anything to disprove this theory?

5) Who is Ravenclaw's Head of House? Who is their ghost "mascot"?

1. House elves have a very powerful magic of their own
2. :confused3
3. The mirrow of Erised shows Harry his deepest desires - to know his parents.
4. I wonder as well
5. Prof. Flitwick, The Grey Lady

2. Kreacher? I think that it is Kreacher on the cover with Harry. Jo has said that Kreacher will be important and I think he has alot of secrets to give up.

4. I haven't looked for the exact quote at the moment but Jo has said that Harry is not related to Gryffindor. I think that Dumbledore is though.

Just saw the movie last night (Order of the Phoenix) and anxiously awaiting my book, just wanted to join in the conversation.

I am very curious about Kreacher as well. Originall he was left out of OotP the movie and JK told them he needed to be in it....makes me think he will be playing a crucial role in book 7.

I have often thought he helped with stealing the locket and leaving the fake in the cave...and don't forget the locket that was at Grimmauld Place...Mundungus stole it, but still it was there, in the possesion of Kreacher basically. I think that locket and Kreacher will definitely be playing a part in the end.

OMG Shelby, YOUR TAG ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Thank you! :thumbsup2 When the Tag Fairy gave me that I was so happy!! Having a HP related tag is the best!! Although my brother joined the board not that long ago and he called me to ask what the heck that meant. LOL:lmao: He's not a HP fan like I am. ;)

I also think Kreacher is a very good suspect! Somebody had to help, and a house elf is as good a helper as anybody. His madness could also come from having to drink that poison stuff to get to the locket. We saw that it made Dumbledore a bit crazy so maybe the effect would be a bit more permanent and harmful on a non-human. And now that Harry "owns" Kreacher and is searching for the remaining horcruxes, he might find that the nutty old house elf is exactly the help he needs.

4 more days! I am so excited!!!!!!!

Maybe, but not quite Jude Law? lol I never really liked Jude Law until I saw The Holiday. Now I have a major crush on him!;)
Shelby
Actually, I didnt like Jude at all till I saw The Holiday - I even bought it! I did think it was weird that he had a tan in winter, in England!

This is only one I THINK I can answer: Since it is part of their job to serve at Hogwarts, they have to be able to do what ever is needed, inside and outside of the castle. So they've been given the power to "pop" in and out.

Today I was talking to one of my co-workers about what MIGHT happen in the next book. When speaking about the book, the author said that she cried over the deaths in the last book. So I THINK that Hagrid will be one of the ones who will die :scared: :sad2:
I'm a slow reader, so I REALLY hope that it doesn't leak out who dies before I finish it!

I will be in disney when the book is released so i hope no spoilers will be released aswell. If i hear someone blabing endings around WDW i think it will see its first murder. lol

Ah ha! I hadn't thought of him...he would be just the one though - RAB would have been his master, so it would make perfect sense. Good call!

Isn't that funny? I never liked him until I saw that movie too! I bought it as well!:) It helped that I really enjoy Jack Black, but Jude Law plays a very likable role in The Holiday.

Sorry, back to Potter talk!:thumbsup2 I'm so excited about the book! I can't wait! I have movies that I'll be setting the kids up to watch so I can have blocks of time to just READ!! I usually finish in 2 days but I doubt it'll happen now that I have two kids to interrupt me!;)

I have NO kids, AND I'm a S L O W reader!
So after this weekend, I may not be on this thread for fear that someone will say something about what I havent read yet! :sad2:

I'm not generally a "fast" reader, unless it's a book I really love.

That said...I read HBP cover to cover the day it came out, and fully expect to do the same on Saturday with Deathly Hallows. DW is going to be doing stuff with the rugrat all day Saturday, so I will disappear downstairs to our rec room, turn on the British Open, and read the day away. Not sure if I'll finish it that day, but that's the plan.

So...what are everybody else's reading plans?

I'm starting at midnight (or as close to it as I can;) ) and reading 'til I drop. I hate that we get he book so late. I'm a morning person not a night owl!

Mine is being delivered sometime Saturday supposedly. I am definitely going to try to get through it this weekend.

OK, I'm outta here! :wave2:

Too much potential for spoilers on the 'Net, sooooo I'm YAGEing - it's media blackout time for this HP fan. :ssst: My desire to be surprised will not be thwarted!!:rotfl:

I will be in "Hear nothing, see nothing" mode while I'm waiting in line to buy the book. :music: :3dglasses

Can't wait to discuss the book with everyone when we're all done reading it! :hyper:

Bye! See you all "on the other side of the veil"! ;)

Happy reading everyone!!!! :goodvibes

Can I stop by and chat?

On one of the covers, UK cover I believe, there is a picture of a locket, is it the infamous horcrux? And on a different cover there is a dragon, could this be Norbert?

I originally planned on reading it over the weekend. Then I ended up with a baby shower, a bridal shower, my niece's 1st birthday party, relatives from OOT coming in, and a celebration for my mom's birthday. *sigh!!!!* I'm hoping to get it done by mid week. We'll see.
