Grrrr! What is it with these rude CMs? I had one at HS that gave me the ugliest glare when I went to use my 10% AP discount. Like I was stealing from Disney or something by using it! Luckily that was the only rude one we ran into all week. Sounds like you didn't have as much luck.

I have to say i ran into more grumpy pissy pants CM's this trip then i have EVER witnessed...
YES! how dare you use your well earned 10% off! i just don't get it. At least you only had one!!!

Love, love, love the Lion King rooms! I so want to stay in one of those someday. And so awesome you got to see the Frozen fireworks. We missed those by a few weeks. I do hope you find the rest of your pictures and post them for us.

i am telling you it is the best room we have stayed in so far!!! I could NOT believe we were able to see the fireworks!!! Can't lie... I teared up.. a little more Pixi dust again!

Oh, he will freely admit that he does that! Although he did kill a spider for his Mom this week (at 1 am in the morning no less, she woke us up). Usually he calls me to do it. Guess he didn't want to look too wimpy in front of his Mom.

I have been on the boards and knew every inch of the resort before we even got there.. Nothing prepared me for how adorable it was!! instantly fell in love with it!

I worked in guest relations for a large restaurant chain for several years. I know that we would bend over backwards to make sure guests were given the BEST we had to offer. If you got a "gold card" from us...you deserved it, and when you used it, the folks at the restaurant had BETTER bend over backwards to make sure your experience was top notch!

So, whether you got that "no strings attached" card for complaining or just for being fabulous (which was the case with your kids), those CM's should have done EVERYTHING in their power to make sure that shopping experience was one heavily pixie dusted event! If you got it because you had complained...hey, make these people see that not everything that happens at Disney is bad like whatever they complained about.

And another issue I have with this is...did either one of THEM have to personally pay for those stuffies your kids got? Why should they be bothered to give the stuffies away? They are not owner/operaters! That cost of those stuffies did not come from their paychecks. I mean, really!!! They should have been excited that they could participate in this magical experience for a great Disney family.

With Job #2 the guest is always priority ALWAYS. MAKE the guest #1 bend over backwards with the training and things for job #2 getting people like this just is like a slap in the face!

You know....we had some horrid CMs this trip too. And supposedly the GF CMs are supposed to be the best on property. So it wasn't just AoA. I think they send all the best CMs to the Poly. Never met a bad one there.

AoA rooms look so great! I wish they would make some other suites in a more "toned down" theme for adults and older kids. Maybe they will. Maybe they will turn some Pop rooms into suites....that would be cool

But you did have a great view of the fireworks. How unexpected! Yay! A great end to the day

What a crappy CM you got at MouseGears. Glad the CM at the cash register made things a little better. I didn't realize that they give those certificates to people who complain. My son got one 2 trips ago for just being sweet and skipping along with my DH (which we have joked since then is so out of character for him because he can be a royal PITA) and we were able to redeem it for a pillow pet Mickey by paying the difference. We redeemed it at MK at the Emporium and they went out of their way to check inventory there (and at every other store at MK) because he really wanted a Stitch Pillow Pet. It really made his day, made our day and definitely should have made your day (had the CM not been such a jerk).

regardless of all the ugly CM's getting the little magic and the kids being happy was all that mattered!

Building 10 looks great. The view of the lake was over-rated. I got a lake view at POP and was wishing we had been closer to the busses. Although, we did get to see some of the fireworks, but we had to step out of our room and around the corner.

The room looks like it would have been fun, so bright and colorful.

After 4 days of jury selection, I do not have to serve on the jury. It would have been a long one. So relieved.

I woke up to the Halloween song in my head from Nightmare before Christmas. It is cold and pouring down rain, must be trick or treating time.

Yes, like i said above the few bad Cm's we ran into the other outshine them!!! made us forget the bad and in with the good Disney Magic will conquer all! HA!!! we have every stitch imaginable!!!
I highly recommend AoA!

I have to say it was buried within the rest of our luggage so the surprise was a little difficult to see.

I will say. Friday sucked.
horrible. the weather just did not want to cooperate for the kids. As i was awaiting for the children to get out of school the winds were pretty much LIFTING my truck and shacking it everywhere. The rain was mixed with both sleet and snow. I was getting worried, kept checking to see if they were going to cancel trick or treating for the next day....
It didn't happen.

If any of you know Halloween is HUGE in my house. Here is a picture from last year

We really do it up. BIG! The boys get new scary masks every year and hide within the madness in my front lawn and scare the bajesus out of all who dare to come for candy.
This year was no different, except for the weather. we had some new stuff and were the boys were SO excited for this year! We even recruited a couple of new comers who wanted to help! My nephew being one of them..
The school bell rang about 7 minutes later ALL kids were pilling in... including a couple of others who didn't have a ride home. there was no way i was going to allow them to walk in that weather!
Dropping several off we finally made it home. Tom was trying to put some decorations out... Most was just falling of blowing. Terrible.
Didn't matter the kids were STILL so excited it was Halloween. Poor kids!!!

about 4:30ish Meg was about jumping out of her skin to get out there for some CANDY! I was not.

Shockingly Tom and Meg were out a lot longer than i thought they would be. she came home with a BUNCH of candy! I then had to come up with a better plan.
It was way too cold for ANYONE to be standing outside the rains were off and on along with the snow and winds.. So i was able to get Allie and the other monster things closer to the house so people would have to come up to the house and inside my breeze way thing. the candy was in a Halloween standing urn thing, the door propped open. tom was by my bushes to the right of the house My nephew was inside on the chair with a black blanket over his lap Zack standing behind him and Matt sitting opposite my nephew like statues. the candy bowl in the middle.
SUCCESS!
those who did dare come to the house either dropped the candy running. knew us well enough what and who to look out for, or just flat out refused to come to the house.
Perfection.
Granted there is normally enough people trick or treating they close of the streets cars cannot drive down with amount of kids all over the place.
there were hardly ANY ONE out. i have enough candy left over for next year.

Regardless ALL the kids had a blast enjoyed what little tricksters we had Meg was ecstatic she was able to get out for a while. we did call it a night about 7:15. Lights out it was getting colder as night was coming closer and closer.

again. the weather really put a damper on our normal Halloween antics, yet we made it work with what we had!

i was able to get sooo much accomplished! hosue clean, Christmas shopping! all kinds of tasks are OFF MY LIST I love weekends off!!

So sorry the weather interfered with your Halloween. Ours was supposed to be cool (for us) but it was perfectly comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. We took the girls trick or treating with some friends and we all had a lot of fun. We only saw 2 Elsas all night and I only saw one Sofia the First (other than Charlotte). I need to post pictures, but I didn't take any, they are all on DH's phone! I need to send myself some tonight.

How nice to have a productive weekend off! Our weekends have been jam packed for at least a month and I could really use a weekend to catch up! It won't be this weekend though - Saturday I am packing and going to a party and Sunday we are Disney bound!

Aww, Sorry to hear you don't have any little ones knocking on your door!!! i love seeing all the costumes while tripping all over them. such a riot. the bigger kids not so much!

So sorry the weather interfered with your Halloween. Ours was supposed to be cool (for us) but it was perfectly comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. We took the girls trick or treating with some friends and we all had a lot of fun. We only saw 2 Elsas all night and I only saw one Sofia the First (other than Charlotte). I need to post pictures, but I didn't take any, they are all on DH's phone! I need to send myself some tonight.

How nice to have a productive weekend off! Our weekends have been jam packed for at least a month and I could really use a weekend to catch up! It won't be this weekend though - Saturday I am packing and going to a party and Sunday we are Disney bound!

Sorry about the weather on Halloween, I know what you went through because that storm ran through our state yesterday and it was horrible! I cannot imagine it being on halloween. I am glad that Meg still got out and your boys got to do their antics.

If I was in your neighborhood I think I would also not go inside! I don't think my princesses would handle it!

it really was one of the worst storms. felt so bad for the kids. But we did get a little time in there!!!
HA HA HA! yes our house is pretty intense. a lot of people just walk past!

We are wimps, and did not take the kids for the party we were supposed to have due to the cold and wind.

I hate that your kids missed the normal antics, but glad you all were able to salvage it at least a little bit. I know your kids REALLY enjoy it every year.

I would have been upset if we had completely lost out on all halloween fun..

Sorry the weather was so awful. We also had nasty rainy and windy weather here. Luckily ours did tame down, so my kids still had fun.

we LOVE Halloween!!! LOVE IT! the kids like to you tube or go check out other houses to get ideas of what to do with ours.. They are Halloween nerds in the making! Glad you kids had a good time!

Ugh, what sucky weather you guys had on Halloween! We didn't have a single solitary trick-or-treater come to our house. You have to go through a neighborhood to get to our property and it's a dead end and it's kinda dark so nobody wants to come to our house. Over the years, I finally just stopped decorating outside.

awwww... your location would be PERFECT for my kids and their tricking!!! word of mouth gets them every time. our neighborhood is PACKED to the gills (normally) kids are bused in from other neighborhoods (undesirables).. our house has turned into one of the more popular ones to go to.

As a Disney Store CM, I am appalled at how your situation was handled. I will say this, we have recently hired seasonal, and sometimes it just takes time to weed out those that just don't have the Disney attitude. I would be so excited to help someone pick out something for free!
