Before i get into replies i ask you to keep my Mom in your thoughts/prayers. She is going to have an MRI done today- to hopefully see she does NOT need surgery on her upper back. She will need a procedure done on her lower back as all her nerve endings and stuff is all fused together somehow I know i am not explaining this correctly. it's not as an intense surgery as if the upper back will be. I just PRAY the upper back will be OK and it's only the lower part.. So thank you in advance.
Halloween looks like a big party at your house! Meg was braver than my kids. They ventured out and were back in about 15 minutes to warm up. We went out again a bit later, but by then the rain and sleet were coming in sideways and it was absolutely brutal. My son Max is a diehard and usually wants to go on and on and even he had enough after the second trek out. And then the weather Saturday and Sunday was so great, and even this morning was warm out, I keep saying "I wish today was Halloween". I guess that's Chicago for you, right? Don't like the weather, wait a day.
I was hoping to see something on the news about a re-do for them on Saturday.. Nothing.. Guess the city was too worried about election day then to give the kids another chance at trick or treating!!
oh well we have next year!
We ended up staying home to eat chili and watch Villains take over House of Mouse. Since we live in the country, we do not get trick or treaters.

BUT, we did all get to dress up in costumes and get candy on the cruise, so it wasn't a complete wash this year.
this sounds delightful. I would NOT mind sitting in a warm home eating yummy Chili and watching house of mouse!! we did none of it.
We ordered pizza, i think the movie Halloween was on or was it Rocky Horror picture show?!?! Can't remember as both were on ALL DAY..
I need to catch up, but I can't do it all at once. She looks extremely happy. This kind of makes it all worth it, doesn't it.
anything to see the magic and a smile on my children's faces is worth it!!!
Excuse me, but you were the
navigator!

But I agree with you, they really need some signs at the exit.
You caught that...

They DO need exit signs!!!
I am also extremely claustrophobic and missed the warning about claustrophobia. When the seat restraint descended down on my shoulders and the control panel came forward, I thought I was going to have a panic attack right there. It was the most awful thing ever.
I hear more and more people who have the same fear. I didn't know how i was going to do on this so we tried the green first. I did ok. made jokes to make myself feel better so i might do the orange next time!!!
Your room looks fantastic! And to think, you had a view of the fireworks ... and paper towels .......... and you didn't have to pay deluxe prices to get them.

The Frozen fireworks were beautiful, and such a nice end to your busy day.
I have stayed Deluxe there are NO paper towels!!! SCORE!!!!!!!!

It was awesome little surprise for us!!! AoA ALL THE WAY!
I am in Nashville...Opry Mills. Oopsy Daisy and I have met!
Now i'm jealous! I feel like i have known her FOREVER yet we have never met!!! One of these days...
If you all are ever in the area, let me know!
YOU KNOW IT!
So sorry your Halloween didn't go as planned. It rained most of the day on Friday here, but by 4 pm it had cleared up. About 6:30 pm, we met up with neighbors and Chelsea got to trick or treat (as Sonic the Hedgehog). This was her first year of not being a princess or a fairy or a fairy princess. It was very nice weather but we had lots less kids this year. We were back by 7:45. We don't have any of the scary houses in our neighborhood.
I am so glad you had a great time!!! SONIC! he is one cool dude!
you need scary houses.. just sayin.
When I was little, there was a house we went to that scared the kids. My sister and I dropped our bags and took off running in opposite directions. My parents didn't know what to do, but we were gone and since we lived in the country, we had been driven to the neighborhood so we got lost fast. Parents finally found us both, but we were crying hysterically and the night was over for us. I am 42 years old and still traumatized.
I don't mean to laugh.... but i am.. I am sure your parent's were FREAKING OUT!
The board is not emailing me when you update. Grrr!
Love the Ohana breakfast! Yum!!
humm.. i had that happen several times on some reports!!!!! grrrrr
I did not realize just how much the kiddo's looked like Mom until this picture. Wow, you could not pass them off as being someone elses for anything. Talk about Mini Me's! LOL
Nope they are ALL MINE.. friends say they are the UPS kids as they look nothing like my husband! I'm Ok with this!!!!
Your Bday breakfast looks so fun! I have not been to 'Ohana, however, before Ohana, when it was Papeete Bay Verandah, I can remember that being one of my Aunt and Uncles favorite places to eat when they use to bring me to Disney all the time. Breakfast/lunch/dinner/late night snack, it was always the place to go.
I do HIGHLY recommend O'Hana! it was DELISH!!! Yes the characters are worth it too! then again all Character meals are hit of miss.
Hope the fun day continues with the 10th Birthday celebration! Can't wait to see how it all goes!
I had TONS of stuff planned today! 2 years worth of planning this trip!
Awwww... Happy Birthday youz guyz!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the CUTEST birthday triplets EVA!
HA HA HA HA HA you nut... they are the cutest triplets ever aren't they?!?!
Glad you made it to your ADRs on time... BUmmer that they all didn't get to listen to their birthday wake-up calls though...
ugh that Zack. who taught this kid how to answer a phone?!?!?
Love the photobomb picture! You are too cute Mo!
HA! No i am not.. But i HAD to photobomb! thankfully i didn't have a mouth full of food!!!
Lookie... That's where we sat 1 week prior... Right there... By the wall... You know - the wall that had nothing on it...

We were there with you in spirit, I promise!
not happy with the boring walls.. very sad!!!
you were with me as i was messaging you and Suzi while here!
Loved al of the pictures with the characters... So glad you are spending the day in MK - that's where every birthday should be spent!
I agree!!!! I couldn't think of another park to spend their birthday!!
Mom and I loved our breakfast at O'Hana! Stitch even sat down and joined us at our table.

Sounds like you had a great time too despite the sad state of the Poly. It made me so sad to see all the walls up.
I do believe stitch is one of the best interactions from a character!!!! He and Daisy are always amazing!!! Now Mulan made the list!
O'Hana was one of our favorite character meals too! The pictures with Stitch are just fantastic!
thanks!!! anytime i get to go to the Poly i am ALL OVER IT! O'Hana is just amazing!
Oh my gosh! Ohana looks like so much fun!! Can'twait to go there.
The pictures, as usual, are adorable. I love your kids' smiles!!!
And the photobomb picture is awesome!
O'Hana is a LOT of fun!!! i hope you have as good experience as we did!!!
I had to do the photobomb.. they were way to close to me not too! HA HA
Ha! I love the photobomb pic......Meg is looking at you out of the corner of her eyes....haha, too funny
HA! It was like - Oh God what is she up to now? -
Every.. SINGLE.. TIME.. we had Mickey waffles i thought of you and laughed my head off!!!
I can't wait to see how the Poly comes out.....the new pool area sounds awesome!
You're right.....lets get to the MK already!
I agree. I am still on the fence if i will like the view from the beach.. or anything else going on over there... Won't be staying there for at least 2 years...
Take your time. you have been on my mind. I hope all is well and you can come here for a couple of laughs!!!
Halloween was awful. I think we had a total of 20 kids during the hours of Halloween.

I felt so bad for those that did brave the elements.
i KNOW!!!! it was the worst!!!! we need a re-do!!!!
Kids are way more resilient then we are.. But still it was MISERABLE!!!
Looks like a great breakfast at Ohana. We've not been there since 2001? It was still Minnie's Menehue at that time, and it was a buffet (I don't like family style because it never includes the foods I like) and we had Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Chip and Dale. A lot of it has to do with my dislike of Stitch (although you'll question that statement at some time in my TR). But it looks like the kids finally woke up and had a blast.
I know your not a stitch fan. But honestly he is a GREAT interaction! I don't think the kids had seen the full movie before meeting him.. After they met him on our first trip? He is Matt's favorite! We must visit him every trip! I knew having breakfast with him for their Birthday was going to be a hit!
the food was a bonus. the potatoes were out of this world... and who can deny BACON?!?!?! LOADS AND LOADS OF BACON!
I read trip reports because they make me happy. This post also made me sad. My dd will be 10 in April and I don't like it either (and she won't be celebrating at MK)
I know.. I'm sorry i just cannot get over how big they are getting SO FAST!
too fast.
Thankfully they will revert to my babies in a nano second and cuddle with me!!!
But those photopass pics are super cute!
Thank you!!!
We stopped at the Poly for lunch when we were there in September and thought that the lobby construction was very depressing. The sea of mud and heavy machinery outside wasn't very attractive, either. Were you glad that you switched to Art of Animation?
it is depressing!!!! I was over the moon happy with the decision to switch over to AoA. First Poly is MY favorite not the kids. they have been asking to stay at AoA ever since it opened. well how can i deny them to stay there when this whole trip was for their 10th Birthday!!!
The birthday breakfast looks like a lot of fun. You sure planned a wonderful birthday for them.
Thank you!!! 2 years in the making i think i have a few things right! LOL Plus the help of all my adorable Dis Friends!
Sorry your Halloween had such bad weather. We lucked out this year it wasn't too bad here. As long as you were wearing pants and had a coat, you were more than fine.
So glad you had a good Halloween!!!!
I know it is a bit late, but please give A BIG FAT HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH to all three of your precious children!
I will do just that!!! they are awesome kids.
Bummer about Halloween for you guys. It was actually fairly nice here. A bit windy, but temps were good with long sleeve Ts.
i think it was nice EVERYWHERE but Chicagoland!!!! WTH is that about?
Oh my gosh, I LOVE those breakfast pics. Especially when Meg didn't realize Mickey was behind her and then WHAMO! She gets soooo excited! Those kids are just plain adorable. No disputing that!
Thank you!!!! Yes she does get excited! I love how the Disney magic will Never die in their eyes!
Looks like a great time was had by all and um of course you had to photo bomb. Who made all this magic happen in the first place after all!!! And Yay for being at Magic Kingdom finally!!! Hope the weather was good for you this day. Can't wait to read more
.
That's right I DID!!!!
Love the mom photo bomb! Thanks for reminding me that breakfast at Ohana is awesome! We'll have to do that again on a future trip.
Looking forward to reading all about how they spent their big birthday!
Yes you do have to go to Ohana for breakfast! YUM!!!!
there is a LOT going on this day!!!
Update on my Mom already!
She had the MRI and wont' get the results until she see's the Doc next week. so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers she does NOT NEED Surgery!!!
