Move over Dumbo our circus is taking over! Surprise trip adventure!!

I remember the days of running back and forth to this practice and that practice or this game and then another game. John and I were talking about that just the other day. I miss the parents that we made friends with and the chili cheeseburgers from the concession stand but I do NOT miss all the hectic running around.

I keep thinking of all the money i will save on gas!!!! I could go to Disney for a couple of months!!!

You and your kids are braver people that I am. There's no way that you would have ever even gotten me to agree to go to a haunted hayride. I'm with Meg and don't like stuff popping out at me. Now I say all that but I have been trying to talk John into going to The Myrtles which is one of the most haunted mansions in the United States. Hunter has been and my sister has been (she even spent the night there and captured the ghost on camera) but John won't step foot on the property. Maybe I can talk Hunter and his girlfriend into going with me?

I know of the place!!! I used to be a ghost hunter a long time ago.. Before it was the cool thing to do! belonged to American Ghost Society was the area rep for chicago for years, I'm still very good friends with Troy and do a few of his outing for him like the Crown point jail a couple of weeks ago.. THAT was pretty amazing.

Just popped in while I had a second to check for an update. Thankfully, here's one report I'm not behind on. :cool1:

Thank you Kathy for checking in when you clearly have so much going on.
Please remember if there is anything i can do for you please just ask.
Until then please come back for some comic relief!

Thankfully, I am allergic to hay, so hayrides are out. My poor kids. Deprived of hayrides. I have been on a couple and suffered, so they know what they are like. I am not sure Chelsea would have done the haunted part very well.

I am going to be on here hit and miss. Second day of jury selection starts today and I have not been dismissed yet. Supposed to be a long trial, so we shall see.

oh no!!!! Jury Duty is the PITS!!! HANG EM!

Good LUCK!!!!

I don't know about you but having 4 years of high school spanish under my belt the title of this seems... Legit.

I left off with dancing with Donald we noticed the rain had settled down a wee bit.
We made a run for it.

Right across to LaCavade Taquila- which translates to: Kathy would be proud!

Got one of these babies:

de-lish-e-o-so <-- see perfect Espanol My Mom will be proud of all 12 years of Catholic education didn't go to the way side!!! <-- Dancing Platano!

BOOM............

If you've never had one of these.. Well..... you haven't lived.

Having such a delectable drink i was in need to :smokin: which thankfully is right between Mexico and DUFFY!!!
I sat with my drink and was enjoying this:

Pretty sky eh?

Tom took the kids to go see the fluffy lovable DUFFY! FINALLY MEG GETS TO MEET DUFFY!!!

I allowed him to take my woobie camera and video camera. Not going to post the video. the lens is totally FOGGED up.
I will give you these from my camera:

Look how HAPPY SHE IS!!! :lovestruc

Is it me or does Duffy look a little mad?!?

I cannot explain how Happy Meghan was after meeting her FAVORITE character ever. Didn't matter what we did for the rest of the trip she was able to finally meet Duffy!

After Hugging the softest bear in HISTORY the kids came running up to TELL on him. Since lenses were ALL foggy Duffy decided to help. he took his little Duffy paws and tried to CLEAN... MY.... LENS...

what.

YES! he TOUCHED MY LENS!!! :faint: inwards i was thinking of how to mamme the bear. Thankfully he is that soft also it wouldn't be good to set bear traps with Meg right besides me.
I took my lens and cleaned it. No scratches... I was able to laugh it off! :rotfl2:

all electronics back on track it was time to ride a couple of more rides!!!

we stopped back into the store for whatever reason?!?!

Except to act silly...

KID VISION!

it was time to see Mission Space!!! a ride we have never done 1. Kids were to short. 2. i heard the orange was pretty intense.

No line. But used my handy dandy FP+ darn it i could and i was gunna!
CM asked which line i looked at her dead in the face and said the Chicken line!
Green we went! Tom Meg and Zack went one way - Matt and I another.
All by ourselves!
strapped in Matt was the pilot and i think i was a navigator.
KABOOOOOOOOOM we were slingshot-ed into space! Wouldn't you KNOW it the systems went down!!! Matt had to pilot the whole mission.. I was watching him as he was elated about maneuvering such an exquisite aircraft
Then it was my turn... He looks at me and says: YOU HAD ONE JOB.. i think it was to press a button.. oops.
Hey i did it Look! we didn't crash! phew good... Better pay better attention...

Getting OFF the ride proved to be the most difficult thing EVER. we followed the rules got out. and had NO idea where to go.. there were NO Cm's anywhere to tell us either!!! how the... what the... I look at Matt.. YOUR the Pilot. get us out of here!
we walked in circles for a while until we finally we found a bunch of CM's standing around.. They look at us like we just did something wrong! :confused3 I point at Matt.. It's his fault.. He is the pilot..
Find Tom Zack and Meg.. give us the Where have you been look.. I point at Matt again and apparently it's the OHHHHHH OK that explains everything explanation..

It's getting pretty late.. i STILL haven't gotten a text about the room! :faint:
Come on Ana!!! I need this text!

We were all getting a little tired, we did a LOT I knew we had an EARLY morning ressie the next day, not to mention a LOONG day ahead of us. So we had to call it quits. find out IF we had a room?!?

One more picture!
since i have no idea if i posted it or not:

Hey look a PP person!

yeah they were nonexistent....
probably because of the weather.

Awww. I love that last shot of all of you. Everyone looks so happy.
So glad Meg got to meet her favorite! Great pictures with Duffy.

I don't know what that drink is, but I do know it looks delicious and I've never had one. Must rectify that next Epcot trip!

Meg and Duffy--too cute! But yes, he does look a little miffed about something. :lmao:

We've never tried the green side of MS. Might have to try of just to see what the difference is. We didn't think the orange side was so bad---but someone did get sick on it last time we rode it years ago. Gross!

Your daughter looks like she was over the moon to meet Duffy. ;)

I agree, he doesn't look happy. To much fur over his eyes or something.:scratchin

We loved Mission:Space...but green. :bitelip:

My daughter (age 4!!!) wants to do the Orange Ticket. She also wants Mission: SPACE to be her very first ride.

Look, she's pretty fearless, and she can rough-house with the best of them, but she still gets a bit timid about walking down the stairs if Mommy or Daddy isn't there to break her fall if she trips. Maybe she'll be a champ? Maybe the seatbelt will make her feel nice and secure?

And before someone asks: She's 44 and 1/4 inches tall. Yes yes, I did give birth to a little Norwegian Viking lass: very tall.

I am caught up again - apparently I either need to quit my job so I can DIS more during the week or stop going to Disney all the time so I can DIS on the weekend. :confused3

Love that Meg got to meet Duffy! How exciting for her! And so cool that she asked Donald to shake his tail feather - never thought of that but I bet it would be fun.

What did everyone think of Mission Space? It's one of the few things we haven't done at Disney - DH is super clausterphobic (however you're supposed to spell that work) and I read about several people dying on it due to heart related issues (this may be urban legend) but it's enough to keep us away. Tell me about your first hand experience so I can decide if it's time to try something new :)

OMG that picture of Matt with the wand! :lmao: So funny!

And um, yeah, Duffy looks a little angry. What's up with that? I'm not such a fan of Duffy. I just don't get it. I know the story and all, but he's just not my thing. I'm glad Meg got to meet him, though! She looks ecstatic!

I don't drink, but if I did, I'd have what you were drinking. Of course I'd probably think it tasted gross. I've just never acquired a taste for alcoholic drinks. My DH might like it, though!

So I hope your room was ready. Sheesh, you've been waiting long enough!

Duffy does look angry!

I tried mission space orange side this last trip. Green side made me sick. I was fine on orange and loved it. I have reverse motion sickness. I am fine in a boat on a rough ocean day. Put me in a boat on a smooth lake...sick as can be.

Hopefully you have a room. That would be such a drag.

Sounds like Biergarten was a pretty awesome experience for you all.

Awe, Meg and Duffy....perfection! I loved those photos SO much! I also liked reading about the interaction with Mulan and Donald. I don't hear people commenting on their interactions with Mulan so that was neat to read.

I enjoy all your ride photos, since I have never been, it's very interesting for me to see. You are getting some really good ones!

I don't know what that drink is, but I guess it needs to be added to my "Must try" list.

Mission Space...what was the consensus? Did they like it?

You sound super busy, I get tired just reading all that you do on your weekends.
I love the youth football atmosphere, I grew up with 2 brothers playing, Dad coaching, Mom as the President of the program, sister cheering and myself coaching cheer. I really enjoy reading those updates from you and seeing the photos, so fun. My own daughter was finally old enough to join a youth cheer program this year (I coached) and we are almost to the end of the season. I am always happy and sad to see the football season end, it's bittersweet.

:thumbsup2 don't you hang out with your marching bands friends during the season?!?!
What do you play in the marching band??

I'm actually not in the marching band. I do theater at my school, and most of the kids in marching band/colorguard have an overlapping interest and do stage crew/the musical when band season is over. I don't have the time to hang with them during football season because they practice every day and have games/comps every weekend! It's so stressful on them, but the hard work pays off. They've been #1 in ACCs (Atlantic Coast Championships) for a few years, but this year the marching band took home #4th place. Colorguard got #12 out of 26 bands because we only had 6 girls this year and 4 of them were freshman.

I'm loving your trip report! And the Chicago Mickey T-Shirt that you have is great. Where did you get it? Silly thing, but I was so excited to see the city sticker on your vehicle. When we meet people in Disney who say they're from Chicago, they usually turn out to be from Plainfield, Carol Stream, Schaumburg, Downers Grove, Wisconsin or Indiana. :rotfl2:

Awww. I love that last shot of all of you. Everyone looks so happy.
So glad Meg got to meet her favorite! Great pictures with Duffy.

Thank you!!!

I don't know what that drink is, but I do know it looks delicious and I've never had one. Must rectify that next Epcot trip!

it's a DELICIOUS Margarita! Form LaCavade Taquila.
Yes you have to fix that.

Meg and Duffy--too cute! But yes, he does look a little miffed about something. :lmao:

He does i don't know what the deal is with the angry eyes?!?

Yes Duffy is he end all for Meg.

We've never tried the green side of MS. Might have to try of just to see what the difference is. We didn't think the orange side was so bad---but someone did get sick on it last time we rode it years ago. Gross!

oh my yuck... I was apprehensive about the whole ride.. people really complain about being claustrophobic then saying how rough the orange side is. Honestly I think Tom and kids could do it, I wanted to make sure we can all handle green first!

Your daughter looks like she was over the moon to meet Duffy. ;)

She truly was!!!

I agree, he doesn't look happy. To much fur over his eyes or something.:scratchin

Maybe?!?! he is ANGRY!

We loved Mission:Space...but green. :bitelip:

I'm with you!! Have you ever done orange?

My daughter (age 4!!!) wants to do the Orange Ticket. She also wants Mission: SPACE to be her very first ride.

She is a tough cookie!!!

Got me.
I would try the green first. then if she still likes it then try orange i cannot be of help. we only did green.

And before someone asks: She's 44 and 1/4 inches tall. Yes yes, I did give birth to a little Norwegian Viking lass: very tall.

:stir:
Norwegian Viking? :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl: your a nut!!! I don't even know the height limit on the ride.

I am caught up again - apparently I either need to quit my job so I can DIS more during the week or stop going to Disney all the time so I can DIS on the weekend. :confused3

NO DO NOT STOP GOING TO DISNEY!!!! LOL!!!

Love that Meg got to meet Duffy! How exciting for her! And so cool that she asked Donald to shake his tail feather - never thought of that but I bet it would be fun.

It was THE highlight of her trip to meet Duffy FINALLY.

I thought it was quirky fun. Remember we did do green i cannot help with Orange. I have no idea.
It is a small enclosed space. there is a harness on you and your on top of the control thing. But once the ride starts? it feels more open. the screen makes everything a bit wider - then is a bit quirky.
Like i said Matt and i were acting like fools on the ride, I think making all he jokes and screwing around makes the bad stuff easier to deal or just forgotten?!?!

Try this:

OMG that picture of Matt with the wand! :lmao: So funny!

thanks.. He's a nut. Love the fact my kids aren't afraid to be silly or fun in public.

And um, yeah, Duffy looks a little angry. What's up with that? I'm not such a fan of Duffy. I just don't get it. I know the story and all, but he's just not my thing. I'm glad Meg got to meet him, though! She looks ecstatic!

I was adamant about NOT getting into the whole Duffy thing. NO WAY NO HOW.
Until we went to DTD in 2011. She fell in love with that Duffy she is carrying. Won't give it up for anything. They all now have the bigger one a couple of outfits for them. they aren't the most wanted toy. The one she has is the cream of the crop. She has loved Duffy ever since. Even with angry eyes.

I don't drink, but if I did, I'd have what you were drinking. Of course I'd probably think it tasted gross. I've just never acquired a taste for alcoholic drinks. My DH might like it, though!

I'm sure you won't like it as it has a strong alcohol taste. It was right up my alley.. I was in NEED of a drink.

So I hope your room was ready. Sheesh, you've been waiting long enough!

Right?

Duffy does look angry!

Does he always look like that or did the humidity get to him too?!?!

I tried mission space orange side this last trip. Green side made me sick. I was fine on orange and loved it. I have reverse motion sickness. I am fine in a boat on a rough ocean day. Put me in a boat on a smooth lake...sick as can be.

really? Is it like RnR? I think we need to try the orange next time.

Hopefully you have a room. That would be such a drag.

Tell me about it.

Sounds like Biergarten was a pretty awesome experience for you all.

We can have a good time in a cardboard box...

Awe, Meg and Duffy....perfection! I loved those photos SO much! I also liked reading about the interaction with Mulan and Donald. I don't hear people commenting on their interactions with Mulan so that was neat to read.

Thank you!!! Yes Duffy was adorable with Meg, which made Duffy that more popular with her!!!

I enjoy all your ride photos, since I have never been, it's very interesting for me to see. You are getting some really good ones!

Ohh I am so glad i can help!!! Thanks! I like a few of the pictures too.
any questions just ask away!!

I don't know what that drink is, but I guess it needs to be added to my "Must try" list.

a Margarita!!! packed with yummy goodness!!! :thumbsup2

Mission Space...what was the consensus? Did they like it?

Oh yes! Everyone liked it. we were going to go one again but the line got to be about 35 minutes for orange, no one wanted to wait that out

You sound super busy, I get tired just reading all that you do on your weekends.

Honestly i think it's starting to catch up with me.

I love the youth football atmosphere, I grew up with 2 brothers playing, Dad coaching, Mom as the President of the program, sister cheering and myself coaching cheer. My own daughter was finally old enough to join a youth cheer program this year (I coached) and we are almost to the end of the season. I am always happy and sad to see the football season end, it's bittersweet.

I am SOOOO with you!!! I just ADORE FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!

Colorguard got #12 out of 26 bands because we only had 6 girls this year and 4 of them were freshman.

Well that cleared that up! :rotfl2: I am glad you get to spen some good quality time with your friends again!!!

BIG CONGRATS on being champs!! 4th is a great accomplishment too!

:rotfl2:

THANK YOU!!! The shirt is from the Disney store on Michigan! I LOVE all their Chicago stuff!

Yep I am a true Chicagoan all my life!! Yes, my very expensive city sticker. :sad2: I don't like them and i don't like how they are working the payments either!

YUM! I had my first margarita from there this trip and they are sooooo yummy.

Yay for meeting Duffy! Meghan is so happy! Love it.

I can't wait to tell you all about my Mission Space Ride in my TR...you'll see why. :rotfl:

Even though you didn't see a TON of PP Photographers, the ones you did get are really great! :thumbsup2

Hahaha... Yes... ::yes:: Kathy would be sooo proud!

And I lurved the Spanish - you friggin crack me up! - I bet Alli would understand every word of it - if she ever Dised anymore... THat's Ok - I talk about her too much, she doesn't need to read about that. ::yes::

Darned rain...

Duffy touched Woobie???/ Oh wow... Duffy didn't get the memo, apparently. He is just lucky that Meg loves him so much... I think that saved him.

I sure hope your room is ready... You all have put in a long day - and could use the rest.

I hope tomorrow is sunnier and there are more photopass people out n' aboot.

D~ <--- Who sliced the tip of her middle finger while cleaning her Ninja this morning... The E & D keys are pretty painful...

Why do I always feel like I've run 10 miles after reading one of your updates? :confused3 :lmao:

Totally on board with Meg! I hate haunted houses/hayrides where they jump out at you. No idea why as I am a thrill junkie so you would like I would like them. I especially hate going with Jim because he screams like a little girl, runs off an leaves me behind. :furious: The Haunted Mansion at MK is much more my speed. ::yes::

This just made me laugh so much!! Better not let Jim see this!:rotfl2:

Amen to the end of football season. The end of football season means the end of marching band season, and the end of marching band season means I can finally hang out with my marching band friends ;)

Since you go by Newsies, can I assume you love the play? DH and I are going to see it Nov. 7th. I know I love the music for it. They were filming a commercial for the broadway play once when we were in Magic Kingdom, which was pretty cool to see all of them dancing their little hearts out.

Oh, and our high school band was part of the ACC for many years and consistently ranked in the top 4. It's quite a championship!

Sorry for the slight highjack, Mo. :upsidedow

I always think I'll get some sort of sissy alcoholic drink while at Epcot and then I never do. I'm a very light weight when it comes to drinking and I always chicken out.

Speaking of chickening out…next time go for the orange! I've only done the green once when the orange was down. I don't even remember what it was like. The orange is intense, but if you can handle the close quarters, you should be fine. Dan gets motion sickness, but he can ride it once a trip with the help of sea bands.

Love the pics of the Duffy experience! Glad he didn't scratch your lens. I would hate for the kids to have seen the ensuing brawl. I can see the news lead-in now…Crazed photographer with margarita breath attacks Duffy the bear, traumatizing nearby children. Film at 11!:happytv:

I'm also a huge fan of that last pic of the family!! Very nice!

Hope your room was ready when you got back. Can't wait to see what happens next!popcorn::

Have a great day!:flower3:

MMMMMMMMMmmmm..... adult drinks!

The kids looked really happy with Duffy. I don't know if Ive ever seen him out in Epcot.

Considering the weather, y'all look pretty dry!

We've skipped Mission Space the last few times. It is on my list to get on there next summer. ::yes::

I hope your room is ready!

I could use one of those Margaritas right now after a week of dealing with my MIL! And I still have till Saturday before she goes back home. I prefer the Strawberry version you can get at the little stand in between Mexico and Norway.

Awwww, such cute pictures of Meg with Duffy, she looks so happy. I haven't met Duffy yet but it's on my list of things to do next month.

I've never tried the orange side of MS and probably never will. I'm just too worried about getting sick with all my motion sickness issues. I found the green side a little boring so I don't really have a desire to ride it again (well other than seeing Gary Sinise :lovestruc). I dragged Mom on in 2012 and she HATED it. She couldn't handle the tight space and still talks about how awful it was. :rotfl:

I hope your room was ready by the time you got back to your resort!

Fun, fun, fun!!!!!!!! I have been reading along on my Nook at work so no replies......but at least I found a way around the system!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
