Move over Dumbo our circus is taking over! Surprise trip adventure!!

I will say. Friday sucked.
horrible. the weather just did not want to cooperate for the kids.

... the weather really put a damper on our normal Halloween antics, yet we made it work with what we had!

Halloween looks like a big party at your house! Meg was braver than my kids. They ventured out and were back in about 15 minutes to warm up. We went out again a bit later, but by then the rain and sleet were coming in sideways and it was absolutely brutal. My son Max is a diehard and usually wants to go on and on and even he had enough after the second trek out. And then the weather Saturday and Sunday was so great, and even this morning was warm out, I keep saying "I wish today was Halloween". I guess that's Chicago for you, right? Don't like the weather, wait a day.

We ended up staying home to eat chili and watch Villains take over House of Mouse. Since we live in the country, we do not get trick or treaters. :worried: BUT, we did all get to dress up in costumes and get candy on the cruise, so it wasn't a complete wash this year. :rotfl:

I need to catch up, but I can't do it all at once.
Tom took the kids to go see the fluffy lovable DUFFY! FINALLY MEG GETS TO MEET DUFFY!!!

Look how HAPPY SHE IS!!! :lovestruc
She looks extremely happy. This kind of makes it all worth it, doesn't it. :goodvibes

Getting OFF the ride proved to be the most difficult thing EVER. we followed the rules got out. and had NO idea where to go.. there were NO Cm's anywhere to tell us either!!! how the... what the... I look at Matt.. YOUR the Pilot. get us out of here!
we walked in circles for a while until we finally we found a bunch of CM's standing around.. They look at us like we just did something wrong! :confused3 I point at Matt.. It's his fault.. He is the pilot..
Find Tom Zack and Meg.. give us the Where have you been look.. I point at Matt again and apparently it's the OHHHHHH OK that explains everything explanation..
Excuse me, but you were the navigator! :rolleyes1 ;) But I agree with you, they really need some signs at the exit. :)

What did everyone think of Mission Space? It's one of the few things we haven't done at Disney - DH is super clausterphobic (however you're supposed to spell that work) and I read about several people dying on it due to heart related issues (this may be urban legend) but it's enough to keep us away. Tell me about your first hand experience so I can decide if it's time to try something new :)

I am also extremely claustrophobic and missed the warning about claustrophobia. When the seat restraint descended down on my shoulders and the control panel came forward, I thought I was going to have a panic attack right there. It was the most awful thing ever. :scared1:

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG the Frozen Fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poof all my anxiety and being upset melted away when watching these! Can you believe we were able to see such beautiful fireworks right outside the windows!!!
The room was perfection! yes it was loud in your face Disney -surprising I LOVED IT!
Your room looks fantastic! And to think, you had a view of the fireworks ... and paper towels .......... and you didn't have to pay deluxe prices to get them. ;) The Frozen fireworks were beautiful, and such a nice end to your busy day. :)

I am in Nashville...Opry Mills. Oopsy Daisy and I have met!

If you all are ever in the area, let me know!

So sorry your Halloween didn't go as planned. It rained most of the day on Friday here, but by 4 pm it had cleared up. About 6:30 pm, we met up with neighbors and Chelsea got to trick or treat (as Sonic the Hedgehog). This was her first year of not being a princess or a fairy or a fairy princess. It was very nice weather but we had lots less kids this year. We were back by 7:45. We don't have any of the scary houses in our neighborhood.

When I was little, there was a house we went to that scared the kids. My sister and I dropped our bags and took off running in opposite directions. My parents didn't know what to do, but we were gone and since we lived in the country, we had been driven to the neighborhood so we got lost fast. Parents finally found us both, but we were crying hysterically and the night was over for us. I am 42 years old and still traumatized. :rotfl2:

Today was THEIR day! Their actual birthday! The big 10!!! double digits.
I hated it. Cannot believe they are getting older, time is just flying by!!!
We had a morning wake up call at the crack of........... dawn. Zack 'answered' the phone. What i mean by answering it i mean he picked it up and put it to his head.

without saying a word.

They missed the wake up call from the gang and wishing them happy birthday. :sad2:

Fine. I jump on their bed singing happy birthday... Come on!!!!!!!!!! I don't care that it's only 6am GET UP. geesh! what? do they think they are on vacation? like it's their birthday or something? We have one heck of an early ADR we need to get to!

Everyone up and moving.... Finally... Donned in their Birthday shirts (Tess rocks)-lanyards- everything that screams IT'S MY BIRTHDAY- We once again have to get into the car, we are running late.... AGAIN!!! We needed to hustle to make our Birthday Breakfast 7:30 ressie!!!
beautiful sunrise!

At LAST we are seeing this WONDERFUL sight!

Glorious!!! FINALLY After two days of being on Disney property we are in the MAGIC KINGDOM!
I just couldn't imagine being in any other park for their birthday!!!

Then in no time at all we were greeted

ohhhhhhhh my POLY!!! my dear dear friend!
We were initially booked here for this trip but the construction made me change over, and knowing we were doing this trip for the kids and their birthday not mine. :rolleyes1 I am a Poly LOVER! there is nothing better then the Poly. i love the smells the sights the sounds. the BEST CM'S EVER! ohhh the Poly. how i love thee...

We were greeted by an UGLY wall right in front of us. No more open beautiful spaces no more sounds of the great water fixture. it was DEPRESSING.

Try as they might with cute little picture things. It was just hallway after hallway.

After a couple left turns we saw our familiar sight of:

we checked in by a hair of being late. Yet sat... and sat..... and sat some more. why is this place always like this? it's 7:30am for pete's sake! always takes forever to be seated?!?!
I ask did you bring the autograph books? YEP in the awesome backpacks Tess gave them! sweet.. how about pens.... oh.. umm no.. OK i go over to the cute store (anything to browse the poly store.) have to have a pen!!!
we didn't buy anything else. as the store was overly disappointing, and the pin store wasn't open just yet.
walk back the opening ceremony started! ALOHA cousins!!!!!

it was a great table. right on the main walkway! No time at all our cousin came and she was FANTASTIC! LOVED HER! made a big deal out of the kids and their birthday brought enough food to be able to take home doggie bags! :rotfl: Yelled at Tom for not eating enough..

oh my MICKEY WAFFLES!!!!! i could eat my weight in these things! I have to say everything was NUM-EL-ICIOUS. no complaints. My cup was never devise of coffee the kids had more then their share of the juice stuff. We were in HEAVEN.

Even the syrup is DELISH!

:rotfl2:

someone started to walk up!

kids were NOT impressed with her I thought she was adorable.

then the Main guy!!!

Look how Happy Meg is!!!

I will say this was a bit chaotic the character all came out at once and the handlers were all over the place. I felt bad for the characters but we had a blast! Characterpalooza!

I did not realize just how much the kiddo's looked like Mom until this picture. Wow, you could not pass them off as being someone elses for anything. Talk about Mini Me's! LOL

Your Bday breakfast looks so fun! I have not been to 'Ohana, however, before Ohana, when it was Papeete Bay Verandah, I can remember that being one of my Aunt and Uncles favorite places to eat when they use to bring me to Disney all the time. Breakfast/lunch/dinner/late night snack, it was always the place to go.

Hope the fun day continues with the 10th Birthday celebration! Can't wait to see how it all goes!

Awwww... Happy Birthday youz guyz!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the CUTEST birthday triplets EVA!

Glad you made it to your ADRs on time... BUmmer that they all didn't get to listen to their birthday wake-up calls though...

Love the photobomb picture! You are too cute Mo!

Lookie... That's where we sat 1 week prior... Right there... By the wall... You know - the wall that had nothing on it... ::yes:: We were there with you in spirit, I promise!

Loved al of the pictures with the characters... So glad you are spending the day in MK - that's where every birthday should be spent! :thumbsup2

D~

Mom and I loved our breakfast at O'Hana! Stitch even sat down and joined us at our table. :rotfl: Sounds like you had a great time too despite the sad state of the Poly. It made me so sad to see all the walls up.

O'Hana was one of our favorite character meals too! The pictures with Stitch are just fantastic!

Oh my gosh! Ohana looks like so much fun!! Can'twait to go there.
The pictures, as usual, are adorable. I love your kids' smiles!!!
And the photobomb picture is awesome!

Ha! I love the photobomb pic......Meg is looking at you out of the corner of her eyes....haha, too funny :)
Yum! MICKEY WAFFLES!!!
I can't wait to see how the Poly comes out.....the new pool area sounds awesome!
You're right.....lets get to the MK already!

Catching up, Mo.

Halloween was awful. I think we had a total of 20 kids during the hours of Halloween. :( I felt so bad for those that did brave the elements.

Looks like a great breakfast at Ohana. We've not been there since 2001? It was still Minnie's Menehue at that time, and it was a buffet (I don't like family style because it never includes the foods I like) and we had Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Chip and Dale. A lot of it has to do with my dislike of Stitch (although you'll question that statement at some time in my TR). But it looks like the kids finally woke up and had a blast. :)

I read trip reports because they make me happy. This post also made me sad. My dd will be 10 in April and I don't like it either (and she won't be celebrating at MK):worried:

But those photopass pics are super cute!:goodvibes

We stopped at the Poly for lunch when we were there in September and thought that the lobby construction was very depressing. The sea of mud and heavy machinery outside wasn't very attractive, either. Were you glad that you switched to Art of Animation?

The birthday breakfast looks like a lot of fun. You sure planned a wonderful birthday for them. :thumbsup2

Sorry your Halloween had such bad weather. We lucked out this year – it wasn't too bad here. As long as you were wearing pants and had a coat, you were more than fine.

I know it is a bit late, but please give A BIG FAT HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH to all three of your precious children!

Bummer about Halloween for you guys. It was actually fairly nice here. A bit windy, but temps were good with long sleeve Ts.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE those breakfast pics. Especially when Meg didn't realize Mickey was behind her and then WHAMO! She gets soooo excited! Those kids are just plain adorable. No disputing that! Looks like a great time was had by all and um of course you had to photo bomb. Who made all this magic happen in the first place after all!!! And Yay for being at Magic Kingdom finally!!! Hope the weather was good for you this day. Can't wait to read more….

Love the mom photo bomb! Thanks for reminding me that breakfast at Ohana is awesome! We'll have to do that again on a future trip.

Looking forward to reading all about how they spent their big birthday!
