YUM! I had my first margarita from there this trip and they are sooooo yummy.

They really are scrumptious!!!! it's also a really cute place to sit and relax!

Speaking of chickening out…next time go for the orange! I've only done the green once when the orange was down. I don't even remember what it was like. The orange is intense, but if you can handle the close quarters, you should be fine. Dan gets motion sickness, but he can ride it once a trip with the help of sea bands.

The kids looked really happy with Duffy. I don't know if Ive ever seen him out in Epcot.

He is something all the kids should see! Where else can you see a giant - angry looking- yet extremely soft and cuddly teddy bear?!?!

Considering the weather, y'all look pretty dry!

we learned (well mainly i learned) how to stay dry after that crazy monsoon from the day before. I was not about to buy more shoes/clothes...

We've skipped Mission Space the last few times. It is on my list to get on there next summer.

I've never tried the orange side of MS and probably never will. I'm just too worried about getting sick with all my motion sickness issues. I found the green side a little boring so I don't really have a desire to ride it again (well other than seeing Gary Sinise ). I dragged Mom on in 2012 and she HATED it. She couldn't handle the tight space and still talks about how awful it was.

I agree the Green was rather boring that's probably why Matt and i started to act up in the ride. hey it was just him and I in there.. I think i want to try the orange side..

Yes she had Florida! which was chalk full of Disney information! we tried to make it about the whole state as there is a TON of stuff to write about. We are talking about Meg here... it was all about Disney.. Her report itself is LONG... I'm proud of her!

Two days back to back at Epcot we were done. We were in need of Rest and Relaxation!

We did go to Mouse Gears to pick out their new stuffies!!!

Matt ran over to stitch grabbed the BIGGEST stitch there was.. I highly doubted this was part of the freebie...
So i told them hold on let's find out what you can get find CM's who are restocking ask the one older lady i show her the AWESOME No strings attached where i am bubbling with joy over she looks at it. makes a harumph noise and looks at us and says..


are you ready for this?


"oh a no strings attached something horrible must have happened for you to get one of these"

I was stunned into silence once again.

me: Um... No... Quiet the opposite.. We ran into the most AMAZING Cast Member on the grounds who saw it was my children's birthday and thought to do something NICE for them.

I get an incredulous look. I want to slap it off her.

Honestly i was really angry with the attitude from her!!! Looked at us like we were horrible people and had to complain about something to get something for free?!? That's not the way this family works I am sure you run into more families that do. But DO NOT ASSUME ALL FAMILIES ARE LIKE THIS!!! There is a certain way CM's are supposed to interact with guests. Danielle was superb and over the top amazing.. I wouldn't compare her to any other.. Yet these cast members i have run into have left something to be desired.
I think she knew i wasn't real happy with her attitude and called for a manager with a terrible short attitude on the walkie..

Mr. Manager walks up SHE still with the 'this family is trouble' attitude was about to explain what i needed when i jumped in the conversation.
Turn back on bubbly me and tell Mr Manager what and HOW we got the no strings attached, how MORE CM'S should be like Danielle while staring down nasty CM to my right.

Mr Manager doesn't look very please with having to give away the merchandise but accommodates us with medium size stuffies. a Not so far away CM (who is as sweet as pie) takes Zack and helps him with his choice.. A Bullseye! then takes Matt who picks a different stitch, then takes Meg who found a bolt.

No Pictures as i was trying to remember everyone's name to make my letter to Disney about CM's. I'm sure you can imagine my letter.

Stuffies picked out and we are MORE then ready to get the H-E-double hockey sticks out of this store
We get in line.

Register CM is EXUBERANT over the fact the kids get a cool stuffie and see it's their birthday and made the experience walking out a lot happier! GAH the mood swings are making ME CRAZY!

I was still worried as i have NOT received the text stating our room was ready.... it's about 6-7pm. I made the on-line check in with the priority of early check in.. Corner room top floor building 6. Yet EARLY CHECK IN was PRIORITY #1 which i made VERY clear to Morticia earlier.

No text.

Drive back to AoA stop at the gate to talk to the gate keeper. He said to scan the MB to the pole thing. HUH? thought the gate keeper was supposed to just scan us. New procedure? Tom who isn't very agile has to stop the car, get out, scan the band, back in car, and almost not make the gate coming back down!

Driver over to front doors to concierge hopefully we have a room.
the lobby is deserted hardly anyone around- go back to on-line check in line CM with the tablet comes up i tell her what was going on she then explains Amy will be happy to help us out.

I hope so!

I explain the WHOLE situation to Amy tell her about not receiving a text blah blah.
She tells me that I must have stopped the text from coming through
that when they send you the original text i am to reply YES.

i am there with her for about 20 minutes as Ana really screwed up our reservations.

Inappropriate cast member attitude, this is never okay. Its not like you are getting stuffies from her personal collection. There is no excuse for her being snarky. Its really none of her business what the reasoning was that you received the certificate.

so now lets talk about the missing pictures i had TONS of room pictures i have no idea where they are!!!

Along with the missing pictures are the SURPRISE Mickey left for everyone!
the FIRST Disney trip we went on Mickey and gang went bonkers in our room with the In Room Birthday Celebration when we went back in november Mickey didn't do a room delivery. they have asked about it for 3 years. I told them they only do it FOR their birthday!
So this year Mickey brought this:

It was piled with the rest of our luggage and was totally looked over
Once the kids and Tom figured it out everyone went nuts!!!
Wish you could see pictures of it because it was really cool...

as we were unpacking, kids stopped running amuck around the room, i was a bit upset over our view (right at the parking lot)
this started:



OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG the Frozen Fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poof all my anxiety and being upset melted away when watching these! Can you believe we were able to see such beautiful fireworks right outside the windows!!!
The room was perfection! yes it was loud in your face Disney -surprising I LOVED IT! The chairs were so cool and COMFORTABLE! The couch was comfy the kitchenette was perfect and couldn't ask for more. the fridge held EVERYTHING we had plus more! the safe was tiny and couldn't fit anything in there. we had enough room for everyone's clothes in drawers enough room to hang clothes we needed hung, the bathrooms were perfect size. the outside by the kitchenette was smaller again perfect for 3 midgets.
the bathroom in our room was HUGE! only had a shower no tub Which is fine with me. long bathroom counter the held everything we needed Plus a lower shelf when needed.
two tv's- kids go bananas when they can fall asleep to a TV since they do not have TV in their rooms at home.
we were IN LOVE! there was NO WAY IN HADES Meg was giving up the table bed thing as it had Simba sleeping so the boys got the couch bed Tom and i went to the big room asleep in no time!

We HAD to be up early for the next day!

IT IS A BIG DEAL kinda day!!!!

First, I'm very proud of you getting that drink. You rock girlfriend.

I can't believe it took forever for your room. And what's up with a happy CM and then two crabby ones. I hope you wrote up Ms. Crabby Pants at Mouse Gears (manager didn't sound all that friendly either).

I'm glad you finally got in your room...it's so cute! And wow on the fireworks you could see from your window.

I have SO MANY issues with how the CM's at Mousegears handled your gift!!!

I worked in guest relations for a large restaurant chain for several years. I know that we would bend over backwards to make sure guests were given the BEST we had to offer. If you got a "gold card" from us...you deserved it, and when you used it, the folks at the restaurant had BETTER bend over backwards to make sure your experience was top notch!

So, whether you got that "no strings attached" card for complaining or just for being fabulous (which was the case with your kids), those CM's should have done EVERYTHING in their power to make sure that shopping experience was one heavily pixie dusted event! If you got it because you had complained...hey, make these people see that not everything that happens at Disney is bad like whatever they complained about.

And another issue I have with this is...did either one of THEM have to personally pay for those stuffies your kids got? Why should they be bothered to give the stuffies away? They are not owner/operaters! That cost of those stuffies did not come from their paychecks. I mean, really!!! They should have been excited that they could participate in this magical experience for a great Disney family.

Okay....time to crawl off the soapbox.

Grrrr! What is it with these rude CMs? I had one at HS that gave me the ugliest glare when I went to use my 10% AP discount. Like I was stealing from Disney or something by using it! Luckily that was the only rude one we ran into all week. Sounds like you didn't have as much luck.

Love, love, love the Lion King rooms! I so want to stay in one of those someday. And so awesome you got to see the Frozen fireworks. We missed those by a few weeks. I do hope you find the rest of your pictures and post them for us.

That was sooooo wrong of the Mouse Gears CM to assume that you had something horrible happen to you or you were complainers just because you had the no strings gifts. Dumb old meany butt!

I'm glad that the kids walked away with some really cute stuffies after that fiasco.

Don't you just hate it when they say they will text your room number to you and you never get the text? We've had that happen twice. Your room looks amazing! I love The Lion King and would have loved staying in your suite.

You are making me sad that I gave up our AoA room for two rooms at POR. Oh well, no going back now, we check in in 9 days!

What a crappy CM you got at MouseGears. Glad the CM at the cash register made things a little better. I didn't realize that they give those certificates to people who complain. My son got one 2 trips ago for just being sweet and skipping along with my DH (which we have joked since then is so out of character for him because he can be a royal PITA) and we were able to redeem it for a pillow pet Mickey by paying the difference. We redeemed it at MK at the Emporium and they went out of their way to check inventory there (and at every other store at MK) because he really wanted a Stitch Pillow Pet. It really made his day, made our day and definitely should have made your day (had the CM not been such a jerk).

You have not had the best CMs around.

Building 10 looks great. The view of the lake was over-rated. I got a lake view at POP and was wishing we had been closer to the busses. Although, we did get to see some of the fireworks, but we had to step out of our room and around the corner.

The room looks like it would have been fun, so bright and colorful.

After 4 days of jury selection, I do not have to serve on the jury. It would have been a long one. So relieved.

I woke up to the Halloween song in my head from Nightmare before Christmas. It is cold and pouring down rain, must be trick or treating time.
