i 'll bet the lil'fella will be very, very special....after all, he has a
mom that loves him, and in the whole world..there isn't anything
more special. * you are still very young..& i always been
impressed with your family!

* utah m...is right...they could be like the osmonds.

when we used to play "music"..wiht pots & pans. now that's a name
for an all boys group? the pots and pans band..featuring the rubber
band man?
..well, since we swapping stories...my parents had 5 boys in a row.
then came the "girl"...i was "matched up with...* my oldest brother,
wanted to be a lonely child...[which is nothing wrong with that...]
except after the 5th one...you think he would have given up on
that idea....

..me & my sister...then grew up..and by chance of nature..we each
had 3 kids...2 boys & one girl. however, we really did not plan for the
third one...

had brown hair and the girl was a redhair...but whoda thought-with
my wife coal black hair..we would have a redhair ?
names? ..jim bob, john bob, ben bob, charlie bob, tickle bob..oops that
the waltons ..family affair.....pretty sly?...i used to scare my kids into
behaving..by threatening to send them to grandma walton.

boy! i am damaging my good dad image, huh?
..% wised...it is much easier ..to have a boys...cos girls are stronger.
ironic...used to be alot of things a mother could eat...that they thought
could determined the sex...i've to think. if ever you decide...

...i work with a nurse..she has 5 boys, including twins....so how you
feel toward your sis..makes sense...
again, i can't express enough how special you are....from the first very
time~ i read your stories.. i couldn't believe how young ,you are and
how great you are doing family life. what ever in the cards..i believe your
will power, will turn every encounter....into magic. maybe, just maybe
there are some really special plans..for this new baby..and all your children.
..while it may seem out of place...for me to know so much about mothering,
* baby nurse can tell you...an ob unit are like a family... just from what
is taking place...every day~miracles....so you think..i told anyone outside
my work...what "we" were involve with..{ yep, babe...i help ladies delivery
their babies"...} right...that would impressed the girls-

that...ob ...is one of the scariest place to work..for all those involved..
..i'll never forget..on a sunday, making rounds..& the young lady..who
was supposed been stopped labor..saying the most dreaded words, that
every ob nurse knows.."its coming"...

everybody was gone...i never told anyone..but the ob nurse working
panic & left us in the delivery..so it was just me & the doctor...we
were both praying..."out loud" & top each other.
however, i never thought..i would experience anything like that again...
then "the diaster with our second...her scream [ which she have no
recollection-* demerol is given often for its forgetting effects]. but i
wish..you could seen those students...faces! f-e-a-r!
dear m. poppins..just for you:

..if i may..let me share one of my favorites boy stories, that happened
a long time ago...at cocoa beach-patrick afb. i was just learning the
trade..but sometimes...thats good enough...the ward was med-surg.,
a lil' boy had flipped over a dirt bike, & ruptured his intestines. we
had an outstanding surgeon, who did a great job. however, the injuries
were to severe & he kept leaking all his intestines fluids into the cavity.
what most never think of..these fluids maintain chemical balance..
for life. inside our staff meeting, our surgeon..was beside himself...
asking anyone for suggestions..he going to die and there nothing i can
do? there isn't no way to stopped this & he can't last the 7 days to
heal up?

why not drain his abdominal cavity and recyled the fluids thru the
ng tube...continous? we had no other ideas..so that what we did...
for 3 days, that was my kob..what came out, went right back in...& it
worked!..every day ..a lil' less...his parents....his father was a decorated
ww II pilot... but they were so over joyed..and when the dr. told 'em
where the idea came from..they "insisted"...i come to their home..as
a guest of honor...very d.

you know me? ..i'm was the 5th..of a family of 10. a lil'dirty ~rotten
boy [he,he,he, its nice to be able to refer to "that", esp. since iam over
50+

a part or witnessed alot of miracles...from above. all of my older brothers
had girls...until...me!

..thru some life -threatening events.., whoda thought....the one with
the most obstacles of all..would have grown up to have the only boy
that my parents would know...my dad conditon was so poor, that
my youngest brother rushed to the hospital..when he was born...with
news. and just unlikely..the stories i tell --they never knew the things
that my mother protected ..effected them.
ever think, the chances? on my second day of ob rotation..when our
elite /prestiged instructor...
asked me?..a boy~

recognized me...just because the new "grandmother"...had to
tell her..what really happened..i that labor room. i never seen them
since..some 30+ years later....
my life..experiences...has given me the gift to understand what special
people are...long before this, it is self evident..the things you are. i
hope life struggles never take it away from you & your family....
* i wanted you to have what you desired...and i am sorry, he isn't a
girl --except..tests ..not always 100%....but, i also hoping your baby
is healthy and ..just as adorable ..as his parents!
