 ..to m. poppins! though, not exactly- what i was hoping for you,
i 'll bet the lil'fella will be very, very special....after all, he has a
mom that loves him, and in the whole world..there isn't anything
more special. * you are still very young..& i always been
impressed with your family! :flower3:

* utah m...is right...they could be like the osmonds.

:rockband: ...want me to send the drums? ...wow, the reminded me of
when we used to play "music"..wiht pots & pans. now that's a name
for an all boys group? the pots and pans band..featuring the rubber
band man?

..well, since we swapping stories...my parents had 5 boys in a row.
then came the "girl"...i was "matched up with...* my oldest brother,
wanted to be a lonely child...[which is nothing wrong with that...]
except after the 5th one...you think he would have given up on
that idea....

..me & my sister...then grew up..and by chance of nature..we each
had 3 kids...2 boys & one girl. however, we really did not plan for the
third one...:rolleyes1 .she lives in illnois, & near st. louis. her 2 boys
had brown hair and the girl was a redhair...but whoda thought-with
my wife coal black hair..we would have a redhair ?

names? ..jim bob, john bob, ben bob, charlie bob, tickle bob..oops that
the waltons ..family affair.....pretty sly?...i used to scare my kids into
behaving..by threatening to send them to grandma walton. :scared1:

boy! i am damaging my good dad image, huh?

..% wised...it is much easier ..to have a boys...cos girls are stronger.
ironic...used to be alot of things a mother could eat...that they thought
could determined the sex...i've to think. if ever you decide...:flower3:

...i work with a nurse..she has 5 boys, including twins....so how you
feel toward your sis..makes sense...

again, i can't express enough how special you are....from the first very
time~ i read your stories.. i couldn't believe how young ,you are and
how great you are doing family life. what ever in the cards..i believe your
will power, will turn every encounter....into magic. maybe, just maybe
there are some really special plans..for this new baby..and all your children.

..while it may seem out of place...for me to know so much about mothering,
* baby nurse can tell you...an ob unit are like a family... just from what
is taking place...every day~miracles....so you think..i told anyone outside
my work...what "we" were involve with..{ yep, babe...i help ladies delivery
their babies"...} right...that would impressed the girls- ..not only
that...ob ...is one of the scariest place to work..for all those involved..
..i'll never forget..on a sunday, making rounds..& the young lady..who
was supposed been stopped labor..saying the most dreaded words, that
every ob nurse knows.."its coming"... . she was just 26 weeks..&
everybody was gone...i never told anyone..but the ob nurse working
panic & left us in the delivery..so it was just me & the doctor...we
were both praying..."out loud" & top each other.

however, i never thought..i would experience anything like that again...
then "the diaster with our second...her scream [ which she have no
recollection-* demerol is given often for its forgetting effects]. but i
wish..you could seen those students...faces! f-e-a-r!

dear m. poppins..just for you: :flower3:

..if i may..let me share one of my favorites boy stories, that happened
a long time ago...at cocoa beach-patrick afb. i was just learning the
trade..but sometimes...thats good enough...the ward was med-surg.,
a lil' boy had flipped over a dirt bike, & ruptured his intestines. we
had an outstanding surgeon, who did a great job. however, the injuries
were to severe & he kept leaking all his intestines fluids into the cavity.
what most never think of..these fluids maintain chemical balance..
for life. inside our staff meeting, our surgeon..was beside himself...
asking anyone for suggestions..he going to die and there nothing i can
do? there isn't no way to stopped this & he can't last the 7 days to
heal up? :confused3 ...me= knowing very lttle...spoke up..what the heck,
why not drain his abdominal cavity and recyled the fluids thru the
ng tube...continous? we had no other ideas..so that what we did...
for 3 days, that was my kob..what came out, went right back in...& it
worked!..every day ..a lil' less...his parents....his father was a decorated
ww II pilot... but they were so over joyed..and when the dr. told 'em
where the idea came from..they "insisted"...i come to their home..as
a guest of honor...very d. , i still have the picture of their home.

you know me? ..i'm was the 5th..of a family of 10. a lil'dirty ~rotten
boy [he,he,he, its nice to be able to refer to "that", esp. since iam over
50+ :rolleyes1 , who counting? ] ....* & for as boring as iam...i also been
a part or witnessed alot of miracles...from above. all of my older brothers
had girls...until...me! :yay: , so easily my mother could have given up
..thru some life -threatening events.., whoda thought....the one with
the most obstacles of all..would have grown up to have the only boy
that my parents would know...my dad conditon was so poor, that
my youngest brother rushed to the hospital..when he was born...with
news. and just unlikely..the stories i tell --they never knew the things
that my mother protected ..effected them.

ever think, the chances? on my second day of ob rotation..when our
elite /prestiged instructor...
asked me?..a boy~ :teacher: ..to stand in front of the class [all girl and
recognized me...just because the new "grandmother"...had to
tell her..what really happened..i that labor room. i never seen them
since..some 30+ years later....

my life..experiences...has given me the gift to understand what special
people are...long before this, it is self evident..the things you are. i
hope life struggles never take it away from you & your family....

* i wanted you to have what you desired...and i am sorry, he isn't a
girl --except..tests ..not always 100%....but, i also hoping your baby
is healthy and ..just as adorable ..as his parents! :flower3:

I can't believe you people are up at this ungodly hour!
This is prime snoozing time!
Next thing ya know, babynurse will be popping in.
I'm so tired. I want to sleep so bad. I've been trying to sleep for the past three hours, but I drank two energy drinks earlier and now I have energy. :(

And especially Congratulations to MommieP. My grandparents had 5 boys, then 5 girls. Then they stopped. [/SIZE]
Nite all
Thanks DTD. When we found out I told Chad, "Well, there's always next time." He said, "We'll keep playing this game as long as it takes." Good thing we wanted a big family to begin with. ;)

Lil G - Thank you for your wonderfu and encouraging words.

Chad's working this morning. I plan on cleaning out the boys pool and taking Ethan and Kaleb out this morning. He took Jeremiah and Seth with him. I've been up since 6:30, on a Saturday. :headache:

Morning everyone.......I got up early too so I could be at the lab for "ANOTHER" blood test.....cant figure out why they didnt request this one in July when I did the 14 hour fast ....geesh.....so I was a little wobbly when I got home.....I cnat go that long without the dreaded four letter word........F O O D.........

I love little boys......My dear mil had the three boys and they all were great great .....all three grew up to be wonderful husbands and dads....she did a good job by herself...

I am feeling better now after my toast got into me and my coffee......yes I do feel better..

Last year, Amber "borrowed" some lime green Mickey head from Home Depot to put on all our belongings and shirts so that we could not be missed. I thought she was insane for "meeting" all these peeps online and talking about Mickey...but look where I am. talking to you all. LOL....Life sure is strange.

Actually, what happened was about nine years ago the only friends I had were online people and I was ADDICTED to the internet.

I have been busy reading trip reports and pretrip reports that I've not been on here in so long. There are over 300 threads in this one...there is no way I'm going backwards to read everything...so...I'll do what I always do...pretend I know what is going on.....

Hey everyone! Missed You! See those of you who are going in September...holy cow that's just a month away!!!!

We'll be driving a 2007 Honda Pilot...and taking a 2 year old with us. Ah...we've got her so brainwashed. First of all, ever since last year, she has been in love with Ariel the Little Mermaid. Coincidentally Celery's favorite character too...but honest to goodness...we had nothing to do with that. We've been watching Disney princess movies...Cinderalla, Little Mermaid...why do we not have Beauty and the Beast...Or do we and I just haven't seen it...Anyway....

We've been watching the Disney Channel ...which coincidentally is the most watched channel at the Cunningham house (my Godchildren's house) and Amber taped a program on the travel channel about Disney and the kids watched it this past Wednesday. Oh...and we have all kinds of pictures of Mickey around the house...and snowglobes galore...so Jeanie really is exposed...but anyway, on this travel channel program, she saw Mickey's sorcerer hat and said "Mickey!" And anytime we see the Mickey logo we point it out...now she does too.

And Amber's been sewing like crazy on our new $497 Disney sewing and embroidery machine (guess I should say that I've been working on one Mickey embroidery too) and making Jeanie some dresses and skirts. I never knew Amber was so talented. And that a two year old would "model" them as well as Jeanie is. It's all precious!

Guess I'll touch base later!

Twinkie, nice pic! But you should try some color for clothes, just sayin.... (not that I am anything like a fashion maven...)

But I always wear black so how will you recognize me if I try some color for clothes?????

I know!
I will buy a goofy hat ;)

Cel: Gongrats, I suppose it's NOT a cheerleading scholarship?
Why do you suppose that ? Celery toadily sounds like a cheerleader:cheer2:

go Justin Timerlake! give me a "J", give me a "U":cheer2: :cheer2:

Whoa there Big Sweetie. I am going to have to ask you to put a rating system or sumpin' on your posts. I am a bona fide wimp or wussie or it could be do a lil' condition I have with my vagus nerve. I faint at the drop of a hat. In an actual emergency situation I do fine but I have literally passed out cold just listening to nurses talk shop. So give me a little warning 'kay? cause fainting while romantic, results in a horrible headache afterwards:headache:
Thank you. :) That is why I studied plant science not people science :flower3:

(and E- that is why I watch N/T on DVD- the DH censors it for me- lol)

Correction to previous statement:

The sewing machine was 397. I'm not crazy or anything! ;) Morning all! I finally got to sleep around 3 AM or so.
I'm sure a nap is in my future.
We just need to clean the house for our first home study on Tuesday and I just wanna lounge!!

Have a great Saturday gang. talk to you soon. Thanks for the chat last night.:thumbsup2

Cel, I was up late due to the scintillating company :dance3:

Hi, Tammy! Don't make yourself so scarce! The meet ticker sure seems to be running faster lately :woohoo:

Nab popped into chat from a KOA campground in New Hampshire last night. I'm sure she is on the road now. Had to get Hannah our of bear country!

I believe poly is Epcotting today :yay:

names? ..jim bob, john bob, ben bob, charlie bob, tickle bob..oops that the waltons ..family affair.....pretty sly?...i used to scare my kids into behaving..by threatening to send them to grandma walton. :scared1:
:rotfl2: Lil G, that was evile! Grandma Walton was pretty scary!!!

Somehow I don't think MommyP has those particular names under consideration ;)

I am a bona fide wimp or wussie or it could be do a lil' condition I have with my vagus nerve. I faint at the drop of a hat.
How Scarlett of you, Miss Twink!

Pumba, we can do better than leaving meeting up to a little lime green ribbon and chance!

HI, E! Hope you're working on the TR today :)

Gee, I really killed the thread today!!!

I had a relaxing day at home today, but will be out and about tomorrow to celebrate a friend's birthday.

hey Moo!!

Can you say a dead day online?

I think it's just too hot..........

I did absolutely NOTHING today, No dishes, no vacuuming, no laundry
I am contemplating putting some dishes in though, I dont want to wake up to a sink full of dirty dishes.

DD just left to meet some of her Lacrosse friends in this sexy green lowcut (not too low) dress, but it is like really funny at the hem, like it's stuck, I cant even describe it... and short! the whole lower half is like wavy or curly or something, I have no words..........

Well, I just did the dishes, YAY ME!! (pretty pathetic, but I'll take what I can get)

Hello, anyone out there??????
R I C O L A!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still here, Marita!

Watching Alton Brown's Feasting on Asphalt show with DH.

My big accomplishment today was making some spaghetti.

:upsidedow

woohoo, MOO! I made a reheated version of Publix sub and later reheated version of fried chicken with potato salad.

And I did dishes of course, at 11 pm........

And got coffee ready

So now I can wake up to a half-way clean kitchen and fresh coffee around 11'ish tomorrow.

DD left for a party/meeting at a club at about 11. I dont think i was ever that young to go out that late.......... heck, anything past 3:30 is too late for me these days. And I am a night owl even....

Late nights for moop meets are going to stress me out, LOL!

I got a SLEEVE sewn on my Alice costume tonight....just one, but YAY!!! I am a happy camper because the pattern directions are written for experts, not doofuses! Such as myself.

I also got a new bow maker at the Michaels (that's another Utahism...putting the word "the" in front of any place) for $9. It holds the ribbon on tight so you don't have to pinch and twist as you go. It's a-mazing!

Twinkie? Whatcha having? A baby, I know, but say a person, or auntie specifically, wanted to sew a lil' sumpin' for the newest in the Hostess family...what color would this aunt, who maybe lives in the Mountain time zone, seew for the little girl or boy? NOT yellow. I know you told me the whole nursery scheme....but I'm wanting specifics. Like BLUE or PINK?

MommyP- Every new baby needs special new things to go along with the treasured hand-me-downs from big brothers. Say special aunties....heck, never mind, what do you need sweetie? :cloud9:

Ok, I need to sew on sleeve #2. YIKES!

UMA, yay, sleeve sewing on is goog stuff!

We could do a whole auntie sending stuff for little Man blue campaign here!

A onesie here, a shirt there, here a pant, the a sock.......

Ok, sleeve #2 is in place! AND they're both equally pouffy. Poufee?
The bodice is nearly complete except for the zipper. Which I need to learn. I've only done one. Heck, it's a costume so maybe I should do velcro? IF I knew how to do velcro....POOH.

Oh, and I got my naturally blonde hair retouched today! I feel pretty, oh so pretty, it's a pity how pretty I feel! Now if we can DO something with these finger nails! I guess I could do em myself to save money. For some reason, my MOTHER's hands have replace my youthful ones...:rolleyes1
