Sorry I haven't been around. I have a busy schedule of feasting on homemade bread, chatting with old friends, keeping my children from completely demolishing my parents' house, reading old novels and otherwise lounging around.

We are off for our excitment of the day- the ritzy grocery store where balloons and cookies are handed out to all short people

Wow I just slept 2 1/2 hours...

I must have needed it.

Mommy P -- hope the tea isn't the reason for your headaches. Lots of caffine in tea.

Twinkie-- ritzy grocery store wow. Do yo get a balloon and cookie too.. I'm sure they will give you one too!!

Our supermarket has a cookie and balloon club. The kids join and get a membership card. Makes all the kids want to go to Shop Rite . It is not glam at all and has decent [prices ,despite the freebies and the cookies were delish.

We have free cookies and balloons too!

Last week they were giving away Happy Father's Day balloons just to try and get rid of the extras cause most of the short people can't read or don't care what the free balloon says.

Anyway, DS chose the BIGGEST one they had that was shaped like a golf cart and fortunately, it is mylar so we'll get to "enjoy" it until around Christmas.

Nab - It's caffine free. I haven't been able to have caffine in more than 6 months. It was causing many health issues. I have to rely on good sleep to get me going in the morning. Ha. Yeah right. Good sleep. Probably why I'm always so grumpy.

Twinkie - Free balloons and cookies sounds fun. Most the stores around here give away cookies, but I've never heard of balloons before. When I was a little girl Publix used to have little girl sized grocery carts to push around with your Mom. That kind of thing would never work well anymore since kids are mostly running around not under control.

I am super tired. I tried to nap, but as I was falling asleep Kaleb was falling asleep with me on the couch and I knew if I didn't get him right into bed he wouldn't take a good nap. By the time I got up, answered the phone and went to the bathroom I couldn't get back to that almost asleep stage.

I hope it rains today. It's so hot.

it has rained twice today and it is doing it again.....then the sun comes out and drys up all the rain.......and I am sitting here with the tv and the speakers up loud and watching and listening to the Eagles........OMG they are awesome....my old age shows when they are on......and the song about his addiction "one day at a time" I love these songs.....

We don't have balloons either. Cookies yes.

Still have the little carts in ours but there is never any there when I take the kids. Then they fight over where the groceries are going to who's. Nicholas of course is to big for that now.

I have been trying to at least pick up before the kids come home. So it looks like I didn't nap all day...

Nicholas as party after dinner to go to. For the end of the school year. Hannah just told me before she went out the door she can stay up late tonight because there is no school tomorrow. It has started already....

Publix will also give away cheese at the deli. But we hardly ever shop there it's too expensive. It's crappy old Walmart for us.

Wonder where Uma's been? She's been MIA at her places lately. Has she been to the Peeps thread? Anyone checked the mormon message boards?

Yes Cel you can have a cookie. And a balloon. Today the choices were yellow, orange, green or white. Usually my girls pick pink or red so they were thrown into confusion.

The store is quite ritzy and pricey (I wouldn't shop there even if I lived here) but they do run goog specials and my mom is the queen of budget shopping. We went for buy one get one free coke products and ketchup.

It also has an animated dairy section where the milk cartons will sing to you if you press the button. And free samples... today was melon, watermelon, fancy cheese and PIE ALA MODE.

Also they have the carts that look like trucks so little people can drive.

To my kids going to this grocery store is more fun than camp. For reals.

Lexi- I love the mylar golf balloon story. Too funny!!!


As for Uma.... hmm.... we might need to start stalking her.

I survived the mamogram, and they didn't see anything wrong, so now I guess I just wait and see if the sore spot goes away. Maybe I bruised myself somehow and don't remember. Tornado occassionally uses me as a springboard to catapult himself to other pieces of furniture, but I can't remember a specific incident or injury. At least I feel somewhat relieved that there is nothing horrible wrong with me. Celery don't be a wimp. Go get the mamogram if your doctor says you're at the age where you should have one. That goes for the rest of you. Yes, it hurts for a few seconds and I feel like I dropped three bra sizes thanks to the compression, but it's not all THAT bad. (Remind me I said that when I have to go again next year.) So, I came home and celebrated with three cinnamon graham crackers with microwaved marshmallows sandwiched between them. YUM.

Back to work for me. Will pop in again later.

It can't possibly hurt as much as drug free childbirth. I have that to look forward to in Dec. so no one around here can use pain as an excuse not to go get a mamogram.
