I don't live in a neighboUrhood. Remember? I live out in the boonies. I imagine that kind of thing goes around more in an upscale neighborhood. My old neighborhood was no such thing. lol. Here people kind of just keep to themselves. I don't have any friends that I would want to have that kind of party with either. I can just imagine the ladies at church. LOL! Sometimes they just act like that kind of thing doesn't actually happen.

Kay, how scary about the exam, I hope everything is OK. I have never gone to get a mammogram ( I know, shame on me). And haven't been the doctor in 4 or 5 years.
Sorry to hear about the kid issues too, I hope it gets better

Marita-- I really haven't had a physical in years either. I have had on mammogram when I turned 40. Wow that was 4 years ago. Doesn't seem that long ago.

Went to the pool this afternoon after work and got sunburnt! How is it that my electric white mom-legs never seem to get the same amount of sun as my upper body?

Not sure? Probably anytime after July 14th. There's an event at work and we are getting the tickets for $15ish/each so I'm getting some extries for me. We like weekdays best. DS will be old enough to ride most everything so he should be a lot of fun this year.

Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Orange (Provence), Florence, Rome, and Capri. I've never been any of those places so I was happy for her to get to see them. And she did get to go to the Eiffel Tower but not up in it. I KNOW! Bummer. Did you really carve your initials up there, Lil G?

I was saying to my kids that we are getting pretty tanned from sitting out at the ballgames.

On summer vacation I would like to travel to go camping and have a bonfire with delouses marshmellows. Mmmm.then I would go to great wolf loge and get socked and go in the wave pool And I would go on the Niaga fall raiped run and wooly mamoth those are some water slides. I would also go under the mega water bucket. Then go in the arcade. I would also go to disney and go on the wicked rides in the parks. and thats all!

I left the bad spelling in...

How am I going to go on the wicked rides in Sept.? Hannah for sure won't go.

I am young and come from a long line of good health and even I had a scare last year with my yearly PAP. Don't you remember?

You cannot neglect your own health!

I will never skip a year ever! If I hadn't caught it and just not gone it could have turned into something much worse. You just never know. You only get one body, take care of it!!!

1 question- what does he mean by "get socked"? Is that "get soaked"?

I do have the pap done every year. I have too.

A year goes by and you don't even realize it until someone calls or sends you a notice. I get my eyes checked every two years and can't believe it when I get a notice to come in because I feels like I was just there.

Poly -- the repo cruise is coming back from the Mediterranean. So it takes 15 days to get it back to Cape Canaveral. When we checked it out they only had Cat. 3 rooms left. You would really need to win the powerball for that...
We thought it would be a good one because the kids wouldn't be in school and it was really long. Can't remember the stops though. Maybe Lil'g can tell you.

MommyP Nice soapbox speech. You're right, there's a lot of "female stuff" that can go wrong, so it's wise to go for the yearly exams. I used to be good about it, but my gynocologist is in a larger city and it's a half a day ordeal to go for an exam, and I started putting it off and putting it off. I've only had one mamogram and was not anxious to do it again, although I know I should. I have heard mixed opinions on mamograms. Some people say there are a lot of false positives, and who wants to dose themselves with radiation every year. Oh well.

I had thought we'd get thunderstorms tonight, but so far, nothing. It was 92 today. My office is in the basement so it was relatively comfortable here, but I hope it cools off for the rest of the week. I love warm weather but 90 is just too hot for me.

Speaking of hot, I'm still shaking my head over that "party" you guys were discussing. I didn't know there were such parties, and I'm not positive I get the drift of what they sell. I suspect it's like that very early morning TV show we ran across on Sunday mornings with the two young women who sell an array of "toys." Some of the devices were quite imaginitive and looked like they might have alternative uses to prepare mixed drinks, clear hairballs off the cat, and shake paint cans. I would have thought it was a comedy spoof, but apparently it was completely serious. You learn something new every day.

everyone should go to the doctors when they are supposed to and then also go to the eye doctor when they are supposed to.......one year I thought oh what the heck.....havent had my eyes checked like in four years.....well that is when I found out that I had glaucoma.......hit me hard .....but I (for 15 years now) do my eye drops each night before bed and I keep the pressure under control....that is important.......then lo and behold, one year I found out that my bp was high.....it was always so darn good.......so two bp meds to keep that under control.......then another blood test showed that my cholesterol was out of wack....stayed on a goog diet for about six months and nothing happened and the doctor decided genetics play a roll also in our numbers.......then two years ago I found out that I got all of my daddys genes....I have diabetes....keeping it under control (except tonight it was 153) except when I eat three thin mint girl scout cookies after having a dish of pasta.....oh well....back to the drawing board......

so whats up guys......I am glad that I have this little place on the net to come to and discuss the days happening.....it was so hot today that the rug rats only were out for an hour and I hosed them down......our pool is not up yet....but it will be next week..the air is very very heavy and takes my breathe away.....
