Uma --glad that you posted too!! Stealing wireless internet, I can't seem to find anyone that doesn't have a secured line. I would love to take my to my mom's and use it there. But no internet in that house, not even a computer.

He goes to the doctor tomorrow, hopefully he will be told he can drive then. I sure hope so! And I bet his work is too. He has been out 6-7 weeks now.

Uma- call Verizon now!

Our daughters couldn't access over a break, but our desktops were connected,. I tried all sorts of fixes and finally called Verizon. They have you go to a website and do some stuff and miraculously it will come back ! TRUST ME!

When our daughters started high school, we got them cell phones. They had no way to reach us if they missed the bus,etc.
When they started driving, they knew to call us . Now that they are both at the University, they need the phones to keep in touch with us and for emergencies. We got the lowest family plan cingular offered at the time and we never use the minutes. We don't use any minutes talking to one another and we do use the cells for long distance.
My family does think that I have some sort of inner electrical current that blocks the service. I never have service,but everyone else will!

MommyP, you should limit or eliminate your consumption of tuna while pregnant due to the mercury content. You might want to Google the recommended amounts to eat OR avoid it altogether.

You are allowed to eat it. Not everyday, but it's not totally taboo as long as it's the light kind and not the white albacore. I think that is worse. I don't usually have it in the house anyway, so I can't eat too much.

Uma - Glad you checked in! I would have called you, but you said not to call unless it was a weekend or if I had Verizon. It's Thursday and I don't.

Hi Poly.

Chad had me mow the side and backyard tonight. Now I am super tired and my feet are sore. What do you think my chances are of getting a foot rub? Not goog I tell ya. He'll clean the house, but it's like pulling teeth to get a back or foot rub.

I'm off to get the kids in bed.

UD......I have been with the gang since the start and I still have to figure out what the heck they said when they said it and why they said it and to who they said it......I think maybe it is because I am old.......oh well......
Hubby took me out to supper and I am now in my night clothes vegging..we also did groceries for the week....well until we need something.....the heat index dropped after the four storms we had today......they started around 8:20 this morning and then the second one around ten am and then this pm and then right before we left for supper......clouds opened up and let us have it....poor meg hates to go potty with the drops on her.....so I have to hold an umbrella over her little body....dang dog......

Oh, just a little tidbit here. Yesterday, I changed my vacation reservation from tentative to defininite for last week in Sept. So my new assistant asked, where are you going?
I said, I am going to Disney World! She said are you staying onsite? I said no.
Oh she said, you have people coming down! Yes, I said. I did not mention they were imaginary people, LOL!

mommyp - I feel ya on publix being too expensive. I only shop there if I need a cheap dessert for potluck or if I'm making a recipe that has lots of cut veggies -
I'm so lazy and there's are great cuz they come pre chopped.
I think we'll probably pick up string cheese, ground turkey, milk etc at the publix near WDW in September.
Unless someone knows of a cheaper place near there?

kay - glad the mammogram came back ok. It's not time for me to have one, or at least that's what my dr tells me.

poly - I actually had to work this afternoon! surprising, I know.

texting is fun! sometimes you can't be bothered to actually talk to people, so it's a quick way to communicate. other times you or the other person is somewhere that's loud, so you can get your point across.
My favorite is when you text someone that's sitting with you because you need to tell them something and don't want everyone else to hear.
I'M NOT YOUNG! I SWEAR! I'M REALLY OLDER THAN MOMMYP!

marita - that's too funny! I was just telling three of my coworkers about you today.

Sorry everyone that Nancy Drew couldn't take the case of the Missing Meep. I was busy with swim lessons (my children are all darling, adorable and extremely talented... not really... but I had to bask in the joy of watching them learn something new).

I agree on the texting, I don't get it. The only explanation that ever made sense to me was A) you do it in class while at school and B) you do it at work so people can't hear you. Other than that, it's a mystery to me.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Go to the head of the class! Also some folks have phones with qwerty boards and or a stylus to make texting much easier. Also goog for stealth conversations. I text. Not enough to have a plan. Enough to spend 3 bucks a month as I pay as I go.

So Underdog, I thought GW was George Washington. Was he a Whig? My hubby and I text occasionally when we can't get ahold of each other at work or when we can't reach our DD. We are on the pay as you go plan for text messages too. But I have UNlimited data service

OK, here is my big news . . . my DD is flying home tomorrow to have her dear Daddy help her find a car (engine is going on it) If they are successful, she will drive it back to NC. If they can't find a car, she will ride down with us on the 4th and he'll help her look for a car down there.

My DD told me she was mad at me today for eating the leftover cauliflower and turkey frikadellen from SUNDAY! I almost threw them out, but then I was too lazy too make anything else (and didnt know what I wanted).
I told her I did NOT throw it out, I ate it. she was still ticked off, she said that supposed be her lunch today ... Cant win!​
