Yes, I just use disposable (I use Walmart's brand).

When dh came home a few minutes ago, I warned him about looking to closely at what is in the freezer. You should have seen his face when I explained it to him!:rotfl:

Piecey- Im so impressed with your couponing and budgeting techniques! KEEP THOSE COUPONS. Do NOT throw any away before they expire. Ill keep you posted on stores/sales where stuff is free or close to it. I promise there will be some-- you wont even think a .50cent coupon will make something free-- but it will!

I'm excited you got me into it. I found a CVS store coupon (on their webpage) for $1.50/Huggies diapers. So that would be $3 off. But Rite Aid and KMart are still better, if those deals are as simple as they seem. Will report back what I find out at Rite Aid tomorrow (unless other moms would prefer us to talk couponing/budget/deals on another thread? We can make a "Moms To Be Budget" Thread as I hate to litter all over this one for those that don't wanna see it... :confused3)

I started spotting last night and have been cramping and bleeding off and on all day. I'm only 6 weeks, 7 weeks Tuesday, if I make it til then. :sad2:I'll call my doctor's in the morning. The only thing I can do now is go to the ER and they can't do anything but tell me if I'm miscarrying or not.

:rotfl:I've never used witch hazel either. This will be my first attempt at it! I read the label when I picked it up this morning, and it is good for alot of things.
The hospital will give you witch hazel pads too if you tear or have an episiotomy.... The squeeze bottle of warm water works well too.....

 I hope everything is ok. I've heard that it's not totally uncommon, but definitely take it easy tonight and get to your dr in the morning...

You are in my prayers for sure :hug:Please get some rest and keep us updated. I'll be praying for you!

Sarah, you're in the double digits which means I'm not far behind :eek:When did time start passing so quickly??

So today was a kind of stressful day. I don't think I'd mentioned it before, but my grandpa fell in his garage last week. He already had a bad back so this just made it worse. Luckily, he didn't break anything but he is still in a lot of pain. Well now he's also starting have problems with his memory. My grandmother is already in a nursing home with advance Alzheimer's and we're just hoping he doesn't follow in the same way she went. Once she broke her hip and stopped walking is when the Alzheimer's really got bad. My dad spent the day with him and my aunt who lives a few hours from here was going to be with him after she got done with her daughter's baby shower. (My cousin who is a year younger than me is due June 15th) At one point today my grandfather couldn't even get out of bed because he was in such excruciating pain. So my dad was going to have him admitted to the hospital but they told him they'll only admit him if it's an emergency. Otherwise he'll just get taken in, given more pain pills, and sent back home. We're just really at our wits end and don't know what to do. My dad and aunt are going to take him to the family doctor tomorrow to see what he can do. It's just hard seeing your grandparents get so old and sick :(

Sorry, I just needed to vent a little. I'm not trying to be a downer it's just a sucky situation. I'd like to have at least one grandparent get to see their great-grandchild. Old age is rough :(

I'll keep him in my thoughts for you... Let us know how he is doing!! It IS scary to see the people you love start to get sick. :(

I know what you mean about wanting them to see your son. My last grandparent died December 27th. I cried for like a week because I wanted to introduce her to my kid. FIL died August 30th. Neither DH or I have the ability to take a 4-generation picture. :sad1:

Earlier this week, I was flipping through the baby book I'd started when I found out I was pregnant and it had a section for family members that "Can't wait to meet you" and then a place for pictures.. and I'd listed my grandmother. I started crying as soon as I saw it. Horomones. :guilty:

ZachnElli, you're in my thoughts as well.
Let us know what your DR. says tomorrow. :grouphug:

About the witch hazel - where did you get it/find it?? Since you are wayyyy ahead of me, let us know how it works after :)

Piecey, I hate that you lost all your grandparents so young! I was 21 when I lost my papa (this baby is due on his birthday), 22 for my papaw. My mamaw died when dd9 was a year old so she saw both of my older kids. I have my Big Mama left-ds11 was born on her 77th birthday. I just got off the phone with her-she is excited about my shower next weekend. She will be 89 this summer, and I know I'm lucky to still have her around. This will be her last great-grandchild-my mother was an only child, and my 3 sisters aren't having anymore kids either. And the next youngest is almost 7, so all of them are old enough to always remember her. Maybe Katie will get that honor as well. My oldest nephew is 19, so I guess she could see some great-great-grandkids as well!

I found it in my Walmart next to the peroxide and rubbing alcohol-in the pharmacy section. I'll let you know-if you don't think that is too much info!!!!:scared1:

Crap...I can't remember who has the airplanes for the nursery....but I was at ROSS tonight, and they have some of the cutest metal airplanes that would soo go with the nursery!

That is AMAZING! Take lots of pictures together- I'm so jealous of you! Great-Great-Grandkids. WOW! She is blessed to have such a large family to enjoy! :cloud9: Have a great time with your shower, too. I think they're so much fun!!

My mom's mom, Patsy, died 2 wks before I was born of cancer.
I got the other three for a long time. I'm very grateful! Papaw (mom's dad) died Christmas morning when I was 17. Dad's dad died three months later- the day I flew home from WDW with my mom's family. We were all there together as a family with the life insurance money from Papaw. Papaw loved vacations so we used the money to go on vacation together. It was a ton of fun, with a horrible ending. :sad1:
Then grandma this past December. At least I got her for a few more years.
They were all wonderful and I'm grateful for my memories. :goodvibes

I never got to meet either of my grandfathers....
Luckily I did get a generation pic with my oldest DD thru to my grandma....

My ex;s mom died at 44, when oldest DD was only 4 months... she never got to meet her other DGD :(

I know thats gotta be hard.

It kills DH that his dad won't ever meet a grandkid, as this is the first for both our families. His dad died, crazy suddenly, in August. They had a rough relationship but he randomly starts talking about how maybe a grandkid would have brought them closer together finally. Loss is tough stuff.

At least for me, TMI is never an issue - I'm all about sharing and putting it all out there, though I know many are not the same. I feel like it is natural and our bodies - may as well share and be as best informed as possible :)

I'll share in a few weeks then (I can't believe I only have 4 wks left!). I say anything that makes me feel better I want to know about!

Go, lady, go!
I've always kept in mind I'm 2 wks behind you on everything so the closer you get, the closer I get!

I've got all the tags cut off of stuff and sitting in laundry baskets but I think it's too early to wash... getting closer though. :lovestruc

ZachnElli- you are in my thoughts!

Piecey- let me know what you find out on the deal. I havent started stocking up on diapers yet but i know i really should.

I've washed some newborn sized onesies (I bought 3 or 4 and one of my students bought me a few), and some gowns (I love the gowns!). I have a diaper bag with some diapers, wipes, ointment, nursing cover (the one I got through the link here) and 2 newborn outfits packed for the hospital, and my bag packed (pjs, robe, undies, socks, nursing bras, house shoes, toiletries, makeup, my camera, and some snickers bars!!!!!:lmao:). I've washed the sheet for the playard/bed, but haven't put it on yet. And I want to get the carseat in the car soon, and have the fire chief come by and look at it.

I'm making myself wait to buy anything else. My family is having a shower next weekend, and I'm sure they'll do a diaper shower at work. I do need to pick up another pack of diapers, though. I only have one so far, since I know I'll have some bought for me. I hope I get a baby tub and some towels, etc. at the shower. I've registered for that and a vibrating seat. My younger sister, who is doing the shower, is buying me a stroller. I also need to get some nursing pads and creme. My sil wants to have a shower after the baby comes for dh's side of the family. I'm not turning anyone down!

And I'm really debating on an Ergo carrier. I don't know anyone who has used a carrier-just not common around here I guess. But they look so convenient, especially for WDW next year! They just cost so much that I hate to buy one and not use it! Anyone have recommendations?

You're ahead of me on things done! I still don't even have a bag for the hospital unless I take a suitcase. I just feel a little weird taking a suitcase to the hospital :rotfl: I got DH $20 in quarters at work a few days ago to put in the bag, though. For the vending machines! haha.
I haven't washed anything at all. I just now, this weekend, got everything situated by size and tags cut off, etc. It's all in boxes/baskets to be washed but since I still don't have the armoire in his room, I don't really have anywhere to put it and don't want to have to re-wash it from it sitting out.
What kind of ointment?
I have two diaper bags... one for each house. They each only have diapers, changing pads and wipes in them right now. And I just did that today. lol.

DH and I bought 2 boxes of diapers and the rest I got at my shower... I think I have about 1400 now. So... thats a decent start :rotfl: A diaper shower sounds like fun!

I have a ton of J&J baby stuff thanks to Maggie! :)

When do you guys get out of school??

(sorry, when I re-read this I realized it jumps here there and everywhere!)

diaper rash ointment.

My kids get out of school May 21. My last day should be May 22. But I've already put in to be off that week, since I'm due on May 19. Even if she is running late, I know I won't feel like being there that week. And dd9's field day and awards day, and ds11's awards day are all that week. If she stays put, I'm going to those.
